The Dolphins priority has got to be pass-rush

Yesterday I presented to you the positions of need for the Dolphins.

Yesterday I asked you to give me what you believe to be Miami's priority in the coming April 25-26 draft.

Today I'll tell you I believe the priority for the Dolphins will be pass-rush, followed by cornerback, followed by wide receiver.

Why pass rush?

Because that's Bill Parcells running the draft and he believes in knocking down the quarterback and winning at the line of scrimmage. Because a great pass rush instantly improves your secondary. Because a great pass rush gets the defense off the field. Because a great pass rush can turn a promised field goal try into a punt. Because Joey Porter was Miami's sack leader in 2008 and he is 32 years old. Because Matt Roth was second on the team in sacks last year with only five. Because Jason Taylor is more likely to sign with New England after the draft. Because Cameron Wake has great pass-rush potential but has shown it only in the CFL.

None of this means the Dolphins won't add a cornerback. It doesn't mean they will turn their backs on a receiver. Fact is, they're probably going to pick the highest player on their board regardless of position.

But pass-rush is very important in my opinion. And that makes it the priority area the Dolphins cannot overlook.

Calling all Dolfans!
We are looking for a new moniker for the artist formerly known as Aqua 2.
Technically he may avoid being sued for infringment because he did use 2 instead of my "Aqua 1," but I think a case could be made. So for the sake of good sportmanship and having him avoid sharing a cell with some guy named Bubba, lets see if we can't help our fellow Dolfan brother and share some new names for him to use.

I agree that a pass rusher is needed but with the signing of wake it doesn't seem as needed as cb and I also believe that the dolphins and jason taylor have an agreement that he will be signed after the deadline that would cost the dolphins a draft pick in july it is true that a good pass rush makes the secondary better but it is also true that a good secondary makes the pass rush better and with brady in our division and moss welker and T.O. as well we need a shutdown corner 2 if we can get them and of course the jets don't have a QB or a WR worth mentioning and are doomed to another year of being the league joke and a disappointment to their fans across the globe got love their consistency

I would be estatic to see the Dolphins take, mathews jr. or brian cushing no. 1 overall. So the Belicheaters don't get him and win their first legit superbowl. As for our first rounder, take the best available out of those three glaring needs.

Well even though we need some more help rushing the pass I do not think an OLB is our biggest need aside from Corner and Nose Tackle then maybe if Wake pans out then we should be ok,I say draft our Corner at 25,then Ron Brace or Clint Sintim with one of our seconds as for our WR we can draft guys like Tate,Robiskie,Barden,Collie or Marko Mitchell in the 3rd or 4th
