Many of you grew up believing Dan Marino could do anything.
And he pretty much could, darnit!
But sell his Weston, Fla. house mansion compound for the $13.5 million asking price? According to Tim Graham's AFC East blog via The Wall Street Journal, Marino has been unable to unload his house, which he built in 1998 while he was still playing for the Dolphins. The place has been on the market nearly three years.
And this place is no starter home as you see from the slideshow.
The home sits on four acres and includes an indoor lap pool, a wine cellar, a couple of kitchens, and even the $1.5 million in furnishings the Marinos put into the place.
The 5,000-yard home (celebrating Marino's passing skills by measuring the place in square yards rather than square feet) boasts 12 baths. I guess Marino had his go-to bath and his secondary and check-down baths.
Sale of the place also will come with an autographed Marino football.

It's the off season people. Give the guy a break! This article is what happens when football hungry fans pester the beat writer for more news during a time of year when there just isn't any news.

So let me get this straight, we come to a Miami Herald Website, home of the Miami Dolphins right?
We click on sports, then Dolphins and what do we see?????? Patriots Columns in big headlines.
I am sick of coming to your sight and click on Dolphins and having to search for Dolphins news because NFL News is smack in the middle of page? Whoever approved this layout should be fired!
Plus WTF is up with a new Patriots column today and the only thing we get from the dolphins is a stinking blog about Marino sellin his house.
So sad what has happened to this news outlet.

Armando, you need to take a remedial math class. 15,000 square feet does not equal 5,000 square yards. There are 9 square feet in a square yard (3 feet by 3 feet). Consequently, there are 45,000 square feet in 5,000 square yards.

It's an gaudy house. No wonder they are having a hard time selling it.

He probably can't sell it because every room has holes in the wall from him punching it. I have heard he has some anger management issues.

Are you kidding me? With everything going on with the economy, people losing jobs everyday, etc, you actually had the inclination to write a blog about this? So, Dan Marino can't get $13.5 milion for his house/mansion/fortress or whatever it is. Why don't you ask the 9% of this country who are unemployed if they care about that. I'm sure Destitute Dan will survive despite his housing dilema. Absolutely lame.
