Joey Galloway is playing for New England and neither Antonio Bryant nor Michael Clayton, Tampa Bay's starting wide receivers, are playing for the Buccaneers tonight.
So the Dolphins rookie cornerbacks may have to wait until the regular season for their first serious NFL test.
(Yes, I know New Orleans is a great passing team and Miami finishes the preseason there next week. But let's face it, the Saints aren't going to let their starters play too long in the final preseason game.)
So this is bad news. But it is also good news.
At minimum, both Sean Smith and Vontae Davis are getting broken in sloooowly. Remember that last week the Panthers kept both Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammad -- their starters -- on the bench.
Anyway, the live blog starts in the comments section below. Let's get to it.

why when joe buck just mentioned torn acl i thought about hartline

THAT'S THE WAY HILLIARD!!! HIT IT UP IN THERE HARD!!!
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:34 PM
Two things: Miami's two best WRs are Camarillo and Hartline.
And Moses needs to do it against starters to convince me, NJ.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 27, 2009 at 11:34 PM
Armando, any news on Hartline? Is he hurt?
Posted by: Gary in NC | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
The white boys are back! Greg Camarillo and Brian Hartline!
Posted by: MrRadio610 | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
When Henne came in he missed one of our starting TE's two times. Not back-up receivers....
Posted by: finfanwv | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
im worried about hartline, he hasn't returned any of my calls and missed him mama's supper. I hope he is okay but I fear the worst. I think he died of a come from behind tackle. It looked vicious!
Posted by: jared | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
I must be on a dely. The Camarillo play just happened here.
Posted by: 5150 | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
Ginn is the team's best WR, Mando.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
oops lex gets a 2nd chance
Posted by: LOL | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
I guess Hartline's not injured after all seeing as Fox's ace sideline investigative reporter Pam Oliver is talking to McCown right now. LOL
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:35 PM
Is turner even playing or is it that he can't get open?
Posted by: Standley23 | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 PM
You know it's preseason when McCown is being interviewed
Posted by: OK | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 PM
Mando . what are you talking about . moses also did it in the first half against starters.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 PM
@ Jared hahah holy crap that's funny!
Posted by: Dolfandad | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 PM
Radio, you are a douchebag.
Posted by: rage | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 PM
Armando, do you think the pay of Moses makes Roth expendable?
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 PM
guys who do you think on the team has the biggest dong? I am sure mando has seen them all we will wait to see what he has to say on the subject.
Posted by: jared | August 27, 2009 at 11:36 PM
LOL!!! Jared
Posted by: Common Sense Phin | August 27, 2009 at 11:37 PM
And by "pay" I meant "play" obviously.
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:37 PM
David Martin has a bad habit of turning the wrong way Nd he did it twice in the two Henne passes
Posted by: Bigharry | August 27, 2009 at 11:37 PM
Mando can you see if Brian hartline will follow me on Twitter when you ask him about his knees?
Posted by: Dolfandad | August 27, 2009 at 11:37 PM
Turner? who dat?
Posted by: laughing | August 27, 2009 at 11:37 PM
Suck one Rage.
Posted by: MrRadio610 | August 27, 2009 at 11:37 PM
Again none of us are pro coaches and players none of us know how the plays are drawn up and play out.. Henne is a work in progress and will be a hell of a qb stop asking for the quick fix and bear it out under the ugly plays ... Remember how pennington played for 8 YEARS IN NY
Posted by: Finsfan871 | August 27, 2009 at 11:38 PM
Lex will make it another week, Q Moses has just bought more time on the team, Langford locks up the starting job, Camarillo may get traded.
Posted by: Finnatic | August 27, 2009 at 11:38 PM
Mando . while you were away writing your column , moses had a sack that resulted in a intentionally grounding.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 27, 2009 at 11:38 PM
Nice worm burner from Henne. THIS guy's our future???
My sources are now reporting that Hartline is NO LONGER IN THE STADIUM. Has he been abducted? Details at 11!
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:38 PM
The king has on no clothes.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 27, 2009 at 11:39 PM
Ummmmmmm. Gross.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | August 27, 2009 at 11:39 PM
If your counting ownership, then it's got be Serina, she has the biggest by far
Posted by: Standley23 | August 27, 2009 at 11:39 PM
Is it just me, or does Hilliard remind anyone of Justin Fargas of the Raiders. The man just runs like he's had a ten yard head start...guys that bump heads that hard just can't sustain it for long.
Posted by: Mike in Houston | August 27, 2009 at 11:39 PM
Linemen can jump??
Posted by: Gary in NC | August 27, 2009 at 11:39 PM
Biggest dong? Prob Brandon Fields, the ugly punter, lol
Posted by: Marc | August 27, 2009 at 11:39 PM
henne stared that one down...that's a bad QB move...does not bode well for his future.
Posted by: OK | August 27, 2009 at 11:39 PM
lex looks like jim crash jensen with that mustache. pat white please
Posted by: phinfan from birth73 | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
Where are these "henne should start" people!!!!!! Come on, that was awful!
Posted by: Dolfandad | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
we want white, we want white!
Posted by: LOL | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
Henne is our future, people. Be afriad. Be very afraid.
Again, should've taken Ryan first in last year's draft. HUGE mistake there. He is gonna carve this D up come the opener.
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
Shoot me now! Wow Im not seeing anything exiting in our QBing future.... Yet again!
Posted by: Narc713 | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
That big guy can jump...hmmmm
Posted by: cookiemonster | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
henne isn't ready.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
The Henne lovers... How did you like that pass into the defensive lineman's hands. Terrible!!!
Posted by: finfanwv | August 27, 2009 at 11:40 PM
my sources have now reported that ireland and parcells were so thrilled with hartlines 55 yard catch they invited him in the locker room for a threesome in the showers....i have a feeling a bj,zj,hj,blumpkin and many other things are in order.
Posted by: jared | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
Henne is not Penne
Posted by: OK | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
Did I just see that.
Posted by: Brett144 | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
I loved it again it's easy to point out the bad
Posted by: Finsfan871 | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
I wish they'd planned on playing White this game, he couldn't be any worse than Henne!
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
Henne played ugly tonight.
Posted by: MrRadio610 | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
Every time Henne is in the red zone, he screws up somehow
Posted by: FB | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
i wrote in a thread that white not henne is our future!
Posted by: LOL | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
NJ, I saw the Moses play. I like him as a backup. We talked about that last week. But can he do that in a pinch against starting OTs?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
The white boys are back! Greg Camarillo and Brian Hartline!
Posted by: MrRadio610
How White does Camarillo sound to you? moron
Posted by: rage | August 27, 2009 at 11:41 PM
Good hands #60
Posted by: Common Sense Phin | August 27, 2009 at 11:42 PM
DolFan 316 give it a rest with Ryan. It didn't happen, get over it. Stupid to play the what if stuff. Move on. If you need a counseling I can recommend a good one...
Posted by: cookiemonster | August 27, 2009 at 11:42 PM
I want a blumpkin...i'm so envious of NFL players
Posted by: Marc | August 27, 2009 at 11:42 PM
Mando - Hartline, PUP or DTD?
Posted by: OK | August 27, 2009 at 11:43 PM
Relax people Henne is not going to have perfect we have seen better quarterbacks make the same mistakes
Posted by: Eddy007 | August 27, 2009 at 11:43 PM
It's a good thing Freemen's almost as bad as Henne or else the Bucs would be ahead by two TDs right now.
Posted by: DolFan 316 | August 27, 2009 at 11:43 PM
Alright Jared, your stretching now
