Live blog -- too bad no Tampa WRs will show

Joey Galloway is playing for New England and neither Antonio Bryant nor Michael Clayton, Tampa Bay's starting wide receivers, are playing for the Buccaneers tonight.

So the Dolphins rookie cornerbacks may have to wait until the regular season for their first serious NFL test.

(Yes, I know New Orleans is a great passing team and Miami finishes the preseason there next week. But let's face it, the Saints aren't going to let their starters play too long in the final preseason game.)

So this is bad news. But it is also good news.

At minimum, both Sean Smith and Vontae Davis are getting broken in sloooowly. Remember that last week the Panthers kept both Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammad -- their starters -- on the bench.

Anyway, the live blog starts in the comments section below. Let's get to it.

Wow, with the amount of people "refreshing' the page Armando is Finna get PAId$$$$$$.

at least it's only 6-0. i guess im a glass half-full kind of guy.
but at this rate it's only a matter of time til the d gets to tired and those holes start opening up for long runs for tampa. we need a turnover bad.

Lol hells yeah!!!!!

Phins look horrible. I stayed home for this? The Defense is not great, but not terrible. The offense, especially the OL, needs an overhaul. Abysmal.

Im gonna make this drink REALLY stiff

Well IT IS the preseason, thank god.

Screw alcohol...I'm gonna need some heroine...This is gonna be a LONG season

Let's hope we see some adjustments. I think from Armando's comment is that the coaches want to see an attitude adjustment.

Hi everyone...so when does the real game tonite start? This has got to be practice, right?

i wouldnt mind catching the philly game later...sounds interesting

man this is lame just like all the ppl who want ginn to take hits for what a extra yard. im sure he's not the first to run out near the sideline

Well, I hope their expectations were the same as yours...apparently, there seems to be a lack of incentive to achieve them

No, the defense has been horrible....a good qb would have 14 up by now. sorry

SANCHEZ will feast on your lousy DL.

Defense needs to come up with a turnover here to make up for that horrible first quarter.

I like the 'Driving Miss Daisy' head ref calling the penalties tonite, haha.

Fins - please pick it the fuh up...

Wow. Matt Ed and Finfan Patti all from Hickory NC! That's the most amazing thing that happened so far this game. THis is a small town too

On the brightside, the D is getting some major work, the more playing time for Smith the better.

Is coverage better? Leftwich is throwing shorter.

WHY IS JT playing as a down linman? He's gettin' pushed around like a girl

is it just me or does every1 else see pennington not ecen looking in Ginn's direction...WTF is up datt????

good play sean smith!

time for a punt taken to the house.

I second that motion Souljah! I also need a remote control like the movie 'click' so I can put the wife on MUTE! Langford is the only solid player thus far.

Ginn is really starting to urk me with his "I want the sideline antics"...

Well, at least that was the first time the Dolphins defend the slant successfully tonight.

What!!! Whats that I see could it be AHHHH the tide is changing

Bout time defense, let's get the O ready

field position. Lets get something going DAMNIT

This is a freakin' joke! Can we please play some Dog garn football???

Alright three more offensive practice reps coming up...

You know...Sean Smith is acting like he's doing a great job (not doing bad, but please)....its just that leftwich is reeeallllly bad.

like does ginn think the sideline is the end zone

Our D played the entire 1st quarter and still forced a 3 and out, that's improvemet, let's see if Chad can make something happen here.

Maybe all the early player moves have made the remaining players feel a little less pressured to perform?

Let's watch this drive. They are resilient.

Armando, come reg. season, how many touches do u think pat white will get a game? 5-9 somewhere in there? wut do u think

We will Score this drive

The Dolphins are doing EXACTLY what I said they should... Ted Ginn returns KR and Davone Bess returns PR... Top end speed is more important on KR, while quickness is more important on PR because people get more close to you when you catch the ball.

No speed on O. Can't stop run or pass on D. Equals 5-11 this season. Anyone that thinks we will be better this year doesn't know a thing. Including Mando.

Perspective here is one play can still put the Dolphins ahead in this game.

nice a first down!

1st down!!!! even from penalty is good at this point!

What the heck was that spin move supposed to accomplish?

what the heck was that spin for??

The referee's are calling the game tight.

Who was Ronnie spinning away from?

In about 11 min 17 sex 70 dolphins r gonna wish they were in Hickory

Chad sucks, JT, Fergie, and Joey are past their prime...I think we will be exposed for the frauds we were last year...Damn...THey had me fooled too

I haven't seen Ronnie spin since his rookie season, press o, press o

Fasano just got away with a a flaase start.

Finally, Ronnie's offseason ballet lessons show up in a game.

We have 29 yards this half. Awesome

we need to stretch the field, im sick of these tight formations, the bucs defense is running down hill at us

Oh thanks heavens for lightning

Yes the tide is changing

Temporary suspension due to lightning has nothing to do with the Dolphins offense.

It has no quick strike ability.

the "driving miss daisy" ref couldn't say the word temporarily...LOL

Maybe this rest will put a Ap on the phins ggeezzz come on
