« Swine flu hits Dolphins [with update on Smith] | Main | Dolphins beat Panthers 27-17: The reactions »

Live blog starts here at 7:30 p.m.

This is where it's going to happen.

The live blog will begin here from Land Shark Stadium at 7:30 p.m. as the Dolphins meet the Carolina Panthers.

As you know, Jason Allen and Sean Smith have the sniffles so they are not playing.

Brian Hartline will start tonight for Davone Bess. Bess is not among the sick players as he is dressed. Vontae Davis will start for Sean Smith and Dolphins Thomas is starting at right guard for Shawn Murphy, who started last week and lost his starting job.

Hit refresh button on Justin TV and it will start working again. Joey Porter looking aggressive getting the runner in the backfield. Defense looks very solid!!

Is game on Sirius radio?

BIG A= great question, just think how this team did last year in its first year, with not many players, now add J TAYLOR along w/ PORTER, and ALL the others GROVE, LONG's 2nd yr, GIBRIL, SEAN/VONTAE, the DLINE looks unstoppable, the new WR's

could be a special year

Thats the key to the whole season a good runnning game and great defense

Another mud bath

Thanks for the feed

What's the deal with aloe vera toilet paper?

Dolphins sent five on the rush and couldn't get there. Nathan Jones beat on the 15 yard completion.

This season, those pressures on the QB will result in a few picks,

Another rush by Carolina. Another negative running play.

I can't believe how good this run defense looks!

Defense looks great so far!!

Could be worse! Could be raining....

Linebackers & d-line looking good

Ferguson might the most important player on this team.

It worked...refresh...ty...I love nat moore! hands of glue...but even bob griese needs work in the preseason.

The Panthers are officially picking on Nathan Jones.

My prediction: He will lose his nickel back spot before the end of the season.

Bell looking weak in coverage.

Bell is having trouble covering the tight end.

I really wish Sean smith was playing tonight. I think he will get the starting spot and hate that he is losing game time with the first unit...

Well, that was a great run and lots of sloppy tackling by the Dolphins on a 25 yard run by DeAngelo Williams.

Folsom, Williams, J. Allen and whos 37?

All this negative talk of Chad P and his noddle arm. Give it a rest already, lets support the guy and give him a chance. It's his last yeart on contract if he leads us to a deep playoff run great. If not then its Henne's turn.

disgusting, yuk! SPARANO LOOKS LIKE HE'S gonna kill someone.

Two long third down conversions on one possession is not acceptable.

37 is Yeremiah Bell. Can be no excuses there.

former UM guy Jon Beason has a knee injury and is doubtful to return.

even rookies should know how to tackle by row.

No matter how good they can be, poor tackling is as detrimental as turnovers or penalties.. they are free and undeserved yards by the opponent!

Sparano is pissed. What sloppy tackling on that Deangelo Williams touchdown run. I think it was Langford (95) who missed the initial tackle in the backfield but there were so many missed tackles you could probably attribute a missed tackle to half of the defense.

3 arm tackles = 7 points

wow the dolphins deffense sucked on that last play 4 missed tackles

and wilford...but 37 was in great position 2x...just missed. Good or Bad? I dunno.

Terrible 3rd down defense.

Terrible tackling on the TD run

how about ronnie brown he is the man i am telling u i think we need to stop giving ricky the ball and give ronnie the ball 30 times a game.

ricky goes for 6 yards. They are abusing the Panthers on the run game.

wildcat work on second down. Gains only 3 yards on a Brown keeper.

Wildcat really it's preseason

Panthers have a great run offense and the dolphins are not gonna show their hand on offense or defense.
Aside from blitzing on passing downs the dolphins are not schemeing, more like an off vanilla D.

Pennington gets EXCELLENT time for a first down pass to David Martin.

Really again it's presason. Save that for the season

Hey, a wildcat wrinkle: The fake to Ricky going left, the fake to Cobbs coming right and Brown keeps up the middle.

Davone Bess drops a great pass.

Can't blame Chad on that throw

If Chad had better arm strength Bess would have caught it...ha ha ha.

I don't remember seeing Bess drop to me, but he clearly let that slip on through before Richard Marshall jacked him up.

bess drops a pass thats a first

Tackle are you serious

ugh - another sloppy play.

Someone is going to get cut mid game if this continues.

Special teams is what is going to kill us

And now the special teams are struggling. Yikes. 58 yards on punt return by Captain Munnerlyn.

Great name. Bad play for Miami.

that wildcat play will be handed off to cobbs back door come reg. season. i just started watching the game, pennington looks poised, rest of team looks lazy and flat, d is getting pressure but not wrapping up.

What is this about an injury they mentioned on the radio? It was Jimmy Cefalo that mentioned it...so it may be nothing.

Bess dropped two last game.

i really don't care what pennington does i can't wait till see chad henne! i think we should start him right now what do u think armando?

Bess dropped one pass last week. My mistake.

I don't remember seeing Bess drop two??

Special teams not impressive thus far?

let's hear it for the cuban-american referee, alberto riverón.

Rob, there are definitely some folks that agree with you. I would not make that change at QB yet. Sorry.
