This is where it's going to happen.
The live blog will begin here from Land Shark Stadium at 7:30 p.m. as the Dolphins meet the Carolina Panthers.
As you know, Jason Allen and Sean Smith have the sniffles so they are not playing.
Brian Hartline will start tonight for Davone Bess. Bess is not among the sick players as he is dressed. Vontae Davis will start for Sean Smith and Dolphins Thomas is starting at right guard for Shawn Murphy, who started last week and lost his starting job.

I am not impressed with the special teams play, especially with all the time being devoted to it in practice. Some of the bubble players better pick it up on special teams or they are going to be gone. I believe I just saw WR Armstrong miss a tackle on the last play before the break.

Delhomme night over. 5 of 7 for 47 yards.

You guys rock, thanks for the links.

Section 454 here again
Pennington has no arm still
Posted by: Hankjr | August 22, 2009 at 08:29 PM
iPhone app here! I LOVE it!!!! Gonna be a mainstay through the season! Could definately use more video content but it's pretty impressive for the first version out! Not to mention you've beat every other team in the NFL! You've set the standard!!! Way to go!

OK, how long and how many more completions before we start worrying about the pass D.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:30 PM
We are having problems matching up with their tight ends. Taylor just got burned.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 08:30 PM
About 3 completions ago..
Posted by: Lips | August 22, 2009 at 08:30 PM
I'm getting an iphone next week -- Yeah, the Herald is paying. Only right, I think since I'm kinda sorta on the app.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:31 PM
I think our pass coverage problems tonight have been mostly with linebackers and safties covering tight ends. Most of the completions by Carolina have been to tight ends.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 08:33 PM
Pat White is in the game now. He's going to get some time behind the starting Oline.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:33 PM
Pennington finishes 8 of 11 for 105 yards and 1 TD.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:34 PM
Chris Williams is not looking as aggressive this week on his returns. He better step it up if he wants to make the team. I like him but he needs to flash more of what he showed last week. Well, at least he isn't muffing the punts or fumbling.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 08:35 PM
the thing that kinda freaks me out of the pass D is that Steve Smith is not playing.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:35 PM
Mando , V davis baby ! with good coverage
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 08:35 PM
How is V. Davis looking?
Posted by: Ridge | August 22, 2009 at 08:35 PM
Check it out: Gotta see if White pull out from center with more quickness this week.
By the way, hartline has to catch those passes.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:36 PM
Time for WildPat, but have a feeling they won't show anything.
Posted by: Dolfan23 | August 22, 2009 at 08:37 PM
Vontae looking good so far. So far so good.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:38 PM
So did pat white move in front of henne since he is playing with the 1st and second team?
Posted by: Ridge | August 22, 2009 at 08:38 PM
Such a stupid waste of a plY
Posted by: Dbromo | August 22, 2009 at 08:38 PM
I hate that screen
Posted by: Dbromo | August 22, 2009 at 08:39 PM
Camarillo has already participated in as many plays (4) as he did last week.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:39 PM
Fumble on the punt caused by Charlie Anderson.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:40 PM
Anyone else Agee that screen sucks?
Posted by: Dbromo | August 22, 2009 at 08:41 PM
Courtney Bryan recovers but they give the ball to Carolina.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:41 PM
god the refs suck
Posted by: ronnie brown mvp | August 22, 2009 at 08:41 PM
miami recovers? and then gets robbed!
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 08:42 PM
The officials basically just admitted they blew the fumble call but said the play is not reviewable.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:42 PM
What was that call?
Posted by: nposada | August 22, 2009 at 08:42 PM
What are the black straps I see so many players have around their elbows?
Posted by: tim | August 22, 2009 at 08:42 PM
Second team defense all the way around now.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:42 PM
Wilson is awful tonite eh?

Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 08:44 PM
nothing worse than an nfl ref
Posted by: ronnie brown mvp | August 22, 2009 at 08:44 PM
Chad pennington threw three completions of much less than a first down, and cost us four points. But of course his numbers are excellent. Ugh! Bring on henne
Posted by: 7teks | August 22, 2009 at 08:44 PM
fumble only reviewable if it goes out of bounds? wouldn't the fumbling team keep possesion anyway?
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 08:44 PM
I don't get why Randy Starks is in the game. he's a starter.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:45 PM
that's it no more latino refs LOL !
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 08:45 PM
how in the hell can u call a fumble recovery by the panthers when a dolphins come up with the ball! i think the refs got paid off or just smoking crack tonight!
Posted by: rob | August 22, 2009 at 08:45 PM
Punt hits Chris Williams in the facemask and Carolina recovers.
Terrible, terrible moment for the kid.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:46 PM
we hardly knew ya williams.
Posted by: bess | August 22, 2009 at 08:47 PM
Put Bess back there and Cobbs on returns. I am so tired of stories about this guy making the team. He took advantage of a garbage Jaguars defense.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | August 22, 2009 at 08:47 PM
that's not gonna help williams make the team
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 08:47 PM
williams see ya ! i woudn't want to be ya !
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 08:48 PM
Chris Williams isn't doing himself any favors. Watch out for that waiver wire next week.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 08:48 PM
the Dolphins REALLY want Williams to make it. But he's seemingly refusing to walk through the open door.
Too bad for him.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:48 PM
i love how we come up with the ball in a pile and they give it to the panthers, just stunning how dumb the refs in the nfl can be
Posted by: nba gambling ref | August 22, 2009 at 08:49 PM
Mando,
Well I think Williams just got himself cut with that Fumble...how can you let a ball go off your face mask like that!
Posted by: DHT1976 (DARRELL) | August 22, 2009 at 08:49 PM
It's a wrap for Williams... He was wack last week too... Ted Ginn needs to be doing that, I don't care what # receiver he is...
Posted by: Nick | August 22, 2009 at 08:49 PM
bad angles on the run play, have to contain the edge
Posted by: ronnie brown mvp | August 22, 2009 at 08:50 PM
MAJOR PROBLEM we all see the fins do great in shorts and in preseason and get all excited, I think we need to come down to earth and WIN A PLAYOFF GAME FIRST HECK MAYBE A SUPER BOWL, IT'S BEEN 40 YEARS, guys and every year we think it's our year or we will be better or were the only team in the nfl, or wait til next year....
Posted by: kirby dar dar | August 22, 2009 at 08:51 PM
so here is a hypothetical question:
Williams returns one to the house in the second half. Is he still cut?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 08:51 PM
wow backups can't stop the run
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 08:51 PM
What's Chris Williams 40 time? Anyone know?
Posted by: Kausty | August 22, 2009 at 08:51 PM
Mando,
Williams hasnt been all that stellar tonight...and think the ball of the face in a muffed punt for a fumble seals his fate regardless of what happens in the second half.
Posted by: DHT1976 (DARRELL) | August 22, 2009 at 08:53 PM
BIG A=== I think we have a major problem here, does everyone know GIBRIL and BELL are both SS, we don't have a FREE SAFETY who can cover?????
Posted by: RHINO | August 22, 2009 at 08:53 PM
alright, now lets throw a pick six the other way! boo.
Posted by: o and a | August 22, 2009 at 08:54 PM
I would still cut him because he's too unreliable and eats up a roster spot. He's certainly not going to produce as a WR on our team. And I can't trust anyone who can't field the ball or hang on to it, regardless of your big play ability. I'm sure Parcells feels the same way... "You're driting, you're drifting"... LOL... Love that Parcells clip from NFL Network trying to coach Dedric Ward on the Jets how to field the punt.
