This is where it's going to happen.
The live blog will begin here from Land Shark Stadium at 7:30 p.m. as the Dolphins meet the Carolina Panthers.
As you know, Jason Allen and Sean Smith have the sniffles so they are not playing.
Brian Hartline will start tonight for Davone Bess. Bess is not among the sick players as he is dressed. Vontae Davis will start for Sean Smith and Dolphins Thomas is starting at right guard for Shawn Murphy, who started last week and lost his starting job.

I have a question...since when is a fumble and recovery not challengeble for a review?
Posted by: DHT1976 (DARRELL) | August 22, 2009 at 08:54 PM
Mando . yeah he to inconsistent
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 08:55 PM
does williams catch the kickoff? maybe do something with it?
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 08:55 PM
Believe his 40 is 4.28
Posted by: brandersen | August 22, 2009 at 08:55 PM
Secondary is brutal. Bring back Renaldo Hill and Andre Goodman. Is playing 5 yards off the receiver the norm in preseason?
Posted by: dln265 | August 22, 2009 at 08:55 PM
cant trust him *(williams), even if he's electric, can't take the chance with someone who turns the football over.
Posted by: ronnie brown mvp | August 22, 2009 at 08:56 PM
ok It's henne time.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 08:56 PM
They weren't saying the fumble wasn't reviewable they were sayin the recovery of a fumble isn't reviewable
Posted by: Stud13 | August 22, 2009 at 08:58 PM
I feel bad for Williams.........and for us. We need a big play threat at returner. Ah well.........back to mediocre field position.
Posted by: Super Scout | August 22, 2009 at 08:58 PM
If Williams has a spectacular second half, I can see the coaching staff holding onto him for maybe another preseason game to give him another chance. However, if he does not have some major production in the second half, I think he is gone sometime next week.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 08:59 PM
the bad thing about the fumble is the guy that had the ball at first still came up with the ball and they said the panthers had it lol
Posted by: rob | August 22, 2009 at 08:59 PM
williams is starting to remind me of lamont brightful. fast but no hands
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 09:00 PM
Vontae davis's play in the 1st half was encouraging. way to bounce back .
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 09:01 PM
First huge punt return then Williams muff... bad enough but when are they gonna can Bono? Special teams sucked two years in a row...time to go Bono
Posted by: GA Phin | August 22, 2009 at 09:02 PM
I agree on Vontae. He's showing us something tonight. I like how he's not afraid to get physical and stuff the run. I am glad the Dolphins cut Eric Green. This will give Vontae more time to mature before the season begins.

Rhino,
Wilson played FS on the Giants when they won the SB.

Posted by: beast1238 | August 22, 2009 at 09:03 PM

DID YOU GUYS FINALLY LEARN YOUR LESSON, I GUESS NOT.......EVERY EVERY YEAR, I KNOW WERE ALL 0-0 YOU THINK ALL IS GREAT, AND WE WILL BE FINE AND FALL IN LOVE WITH EVERY PLAYER JUST BECAUSE HE'S ON YOUR TEAM
AND THINK EVERY PLAYER DRAFTED HIGH OR NOT IS GOING TO BE THE STEAL OF THE DRAFT, AND WATCH OR HEAR SOMETHING POSITIVE AT TRAINING CAMP WHEN THEY ARE WEARING SHORTS... AND THINK
WOW THIS IS OUR YEAR
SORRY BOYS, NOT THIS YEAR, AGAIN,
if BILL IS SO GREAT WHY ERIC GREEN, AND A PROJECT QB IN THE 2ND WHEN WE HAVE CHAD/HENNE
WE WILL ALL BE DEAD WHEN THIS TEAM WINS THE BIG ONE..AGAIN
Posted by: not a blind fan | August 22, 2009 at 09:05 PM
I agree beast. That's what happened with Ted Ginn last year. He would have one great game and then disappear off the face of the universe. He needs to make himself more available to Pennington the way the commentators talk about Bess and Camarillo being "quarterback friendly."
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 09:05 PM
What's up NJ? pennington looked good. as did ronnie.
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 09:06 PM
Come A, what would you say is GIBRIL's biggest weakness?
Posted by: RHINO | August 22, 2009 at 09:07 PM
Pat White sucks
Posted by: HAL9000 | August 22, 2009 at 09:09 PM
I know Pennington doesn't have the strongest arm as Mando pointed out when he didn't lead Cobbs enough for a touchdown on the Wildcat trick play, but I like him a lot. He manages the game so well and is a terrific. I would much rather have him running the team than Henne or White.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 09:09 PM
love first team offense and defense lets hope no one get hurt
Posted by: phinfan from birth73 | August 22, 2009 at 09:10 PM
Notice Armstrong fielding the return and Chris Williams on the bench. I think that answer our question.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 09:10 PM
Chad henne at QB. And yes, that was Armstrong with the 20 yard return on the kickoff.
Bye Chris.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 09:11 PM
mando whats up with ginn
Posted by: phinfan from birth73 | August 22, 2009 at 09:11 PM
henne in. will we see a deep throw?
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 09:11 PM
sammo . penny was penny. smart and efficient. He had some under throws though.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 09:12 PM
The feed was freezing like crazy. Missed the special teams screw-ups. Is it coachable, or do we steal back Westhoff back from the Jets for Chris Williams (and family)??
I hate bad special teams. Reminds me of the 1st year NY Mets.
Posted by: IMAWriterRobJ | August 22, 2009 at 09:13 PM
Starting o line still in the game, wow
Posted by: phinsfan6453 | August 22, 2009 at 09:13 PM
Everette Brown beats Jake Long on the 1 on 1 rush for a sack.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 09:14 PM
jake got beat by rookie
Posted by: phinfan from birth73 | August 22, 2009 at 09:14 PM
Wow now that's a arm !
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 09:15 PM
underthrows yes. that dropped pass by bess was a good throw tho.
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 09:15 PM
can't handle elite speed....should have drafted Matt Ryan
Posted by: Vic Damoan | August 22, 2009 at 09:15 PM
I think in thhis entire debate about William, London has been getting shortchanged. He is a tall kid with experience that does a ton on specials. We need coverage guys more than a returner.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | August 22, 2009 at 09:16 PM
I love cobbs.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 09:16 PM
Armando...I respect Chap P greatly, but it's painfully obvious that he no more can get the ball down field than I can, at least not consistently.
Eventually, as did the Ravens, teams will really lock up close to stop the run.
Assuming Pat White's major snaps are from the 'cat, does he posses the arm to make the long ball to Ginn a possibility?
Posted by: IMAWriterRobJ | August 22, 2009 at 09:18 PM
Henne is the future??? It's bleak.
Posted by: Vic Damoan | August 22, 2009 at 09:19 PM
Guys, I'm going to be away for a few while I write my column for the paper. This will not happen during the regular season blogs, but this ain't regular season.
I'll be back in a few. Play nice. But play hard.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 22, 2009 at 09:19 PM
Murphy on the wiff ! his father didn't do much of that ( Wiff )
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 09:20 PM
cobbs is awesome! nothing but plays from him. good speed great hands and surprising power. kickoff returner?
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 09:21 PM
score ?
Posted by: payuengsnwings | August 22, 2009 at 09:21 PM
damoen/menace go back to ridgemont high.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | August 22, 2009 at 09:21 PM
I think Henne is coming along. It didn't help that Shawn Murphy got beat by a third round draft pick defensive lineman, who interrupted Henne's timing.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 09:22 PM
Can't handlE elite speed?! WTF are you talking about the guy was a pro bowler in his first season and rarely got beat one on one by ANYONE. And to the guy who is judging Hennes future while he's playing with mostly 2nd and third stringers,,,,,,,,,,,, REALLY?
Posted by: Account Deleted | August 22, 2009 at 09:22 PM
I think Donald Thomas looks like a beast and Shawn Murphy is not nearly the same physical specimen. If Thomas stays healthy, he looks to be the better lineman hands down.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 09:23 PM
By the way Mando, I think it was Murphy who got beat by Everret and not Long.
Posted by: Fin Fan | August 22, 2009 at 09:24 PM
henne looks good to me so far.
Posted by: sammo | August 22, 2009 at 09:25 PM
Torbor is everywhere today
