It got started inauspiciously as the Colts took a 7-0 lead on an 80-tard pass from Peyton Manning to Dallas Clark.
The Dolphins fought back with a Wildcat powered tying TD drive on their first possession. ronnie and Ricky have 12 carries for 67 yards in the first quarter. The two combined for only 17 carries all last week.
And now we're starting the second quarter. And we're continuing the live blog in the comments below. See you there.

MNF/ESPN misidentified rg---get over it already, guys. It's DT or else.

Risky
Posted by: Bostonfinfan | September 21, 2009 at 09:38 PM
Ginn was NOT open on that play
Posted by: Andrew H | September 21, 2009 at 09:38 PM
Here come the Ted Ginn sucks comments. I feel it.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2009 at 09:38 PM
Pennington almost got ginn killed!
Posted by: dolphanforlife | September 21, 2009 at 09:38 PM
Looked like two Colts were the Ginn-tended receivers
Posted by: MIAinBFLO | September 21, 2009 at 09:39 PM
Wow Ginn tashin
Posted by: grfdolphin | September 21, 2009 at 09:39 PM

Posted by: klndry | September 21, 2009 at 09:39 PM
OMG, that was almost a disaster.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
Long's been doing that since he started in the pros last year--
it's his way of dealing w/ the 'elite speed' thing--
it's very borderline, and all last yr I waited for it to be called, but it never was, so if it works, g-d bless him!
Posted by: Frank Lampard | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
phew!
Posted by: Lips | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
Offense looks much better.....almost as good as they look when im playing with them on madden and pat white is my starting qb fyi
Posted by: miateamsfan | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
that was close.
Posted by: klndry | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
That could have been a knockout blow by Hagler.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
I almost had a heart attack
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
almost a pic-6, indeed
Posted by: MIAinBFLO | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
Almost Pick 6
Posted by: drsamii | September 21, 2009 at 09:40 PM
Pennington just doesn't look as good this year. Just the facts man.
Posted by: Andrew H | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
no receivers getting open.
Posted by: Eric | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
what the heck was that?
Posted by: miateamsfan | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
Yup, dolphins definitely giving Long help with Freeney.
that sack had nothing to do with Jake Long. that was a coverage sack that Chad Pennington ran into.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
Penny strikes again
Posted by: Po White Trash | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
where is Bess????
Posted by: Naples Gator | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
The good and the bad of Chad- Mando you can use that for a title tomorrow
Posted by: grfdolphin | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
Long should take a paycut, then a severe beating!
Posted by: dolphanforlife | September 21, 2009 at 09:41 PM
Is smith back in or is it davis?
Posted by: Lips | September 21, 2009 at 09:42 PM
Pennington is not finding the open guy beyond 10 yards consistently... Or wideouts are running bad routes?
Posted by: David | September 21, 2009 at 09:42 PM
pennington is not looking good tonight. hes missing everyone and making some bad decisions.
Posted by: dave | September 21, 2009 at 09:42 PM
Chad stares down receivers like my mother in law stairs down lasagna.
Posted by: Bostonfinfan | September 21, 2009 at 09:42 PM
Pennington is hurrying up his play actions. He's having a really bad game.
Posted by: Yann | September 21, 2009 at 09:42 PM
well said Mando--Freeney had almost nothing to do w/it, but the announcers make him sound like the God of Defense.
Posted by: MIAinBFLO | September 21, 2009 at 09:42 PM
Considering how terrible Miami played last week, I'm kind of encouraged by how things are going tonight so far.
So far.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
Chad made 2 bad decisions that drive with long pass to a covered Ginn and a pass to the flat that was almost a pick-6. If people aren't open then he has to run or throw it away I think.
Posted by: Andrew H | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
Stares. Goofy iPhone spellcheck.
Posted by: Bostonfinfan | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
The Colts are going to start feeling the effects of the humidity. The Fins have kept their D on the field a lot so far. Manning's going to try and put together a long clock eating drive right here to give that D a rest.
The Fins need a turnover right now!!!
Posted by: Tommya | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
D needs a T!
Posted by: Dolfan74 | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
lmao @ Bostonfinfan and his mother in law.
Posted by: Lips | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
I'm ascared
Posted by: grfdolphin | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
True Mando!
Posted by: Po White Trash | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
Well here is the genius of the whole thing. They can't even bench Pennington. So he can do whatever the hell he wants.
Posted by: dolphanforlife | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
Seemed like Pennington was concentrating too much on running to a spot and not finding a receiver. Marino launches that ball into the tenth row....cmon Chad...
Posted by: Jamie | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
Turnover?
Posted by: Ealvarez | September 21, 2009 at 09:43 PM
D needs a T!
Posted by: Dolfan74 | September 21, 2009 at 09:44 PM
Good blocking by the "1st & 10" sign
Posted by: MIAinBFLO | September 21, 2009 at 09:44 PM
Mando---I suppose in a pefect world we'd want our No. 1 of No.1 picks to do it solo, but if it's help he needs & if help helps, so to speak, the that's the way it is....UNLESS that help weakens us elsewhere, in which case the NFL's highest-paid tackle ought to take a good look in the mirror.
Posted by: Frank Lampard | September 21, 2009 at 09:44 PM
Good comment about humidity, tommya
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2009 at 09:44 PM

Posted by: Lips | September 21, 2009 at 09:45 PM
O.o how do you miss that!
Posted by: Bostonfinfan | September 21, 2009 at 09:45 PM
Thank goodness my cable went out. I don't have to watch this disaster!
Posted by: dolphanforlife | September 21, 2009 at 09:45 PM
Everybody is atacking the middle of the defense.
Jones has to catch that and stop that from happening.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2009 at 09:45 PM
damnit
Posted by: drsamii | September 21, 2009 at 09:45 PM
