The Dolphins are no longer winless.
They just demolished the Bills, 38-10, to improve their record to 1-3.
The formula for this victory was simple: Everybody played great!
Ronnie Brown rushed for 115 yards. Ricky Williams rushed for 85 yards. Both averaged over 5-yards per carry.
Chad Henne made his debut NFL start and did what great QBs do -- he got his team in the end zone and got his team a W. Henne completed 14 of 22 passes for 115 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions..
The Dolphins defense, throttled the past two games, showed up bigtime today. Miami had six sacks, including three by Cameron Wake and two by Jason Taylor.
Rookie Vontae Davis returned an interception 23 yards for a TD. Will Allen, who struggled last week, recovered superbly this week. He made his first interception of the year. And he made his second interception of the year.
So what do you think? Are the Dolphins back? Are the problems more or less solved?
Or was this game a product of playing a bad team?

Hope we are experiencing history! The beginning of a new era. Chad looked pretty cool calm and collected out there. Maybe this is our Drew Bledsoe out and Brady, I mean Henne in moment. One can only hope. Can’t help myself; I feel good & I new that I would!

Canes matter? Didn't know they were in the SEC?
Posted by: Po White Trash | October 04, 2009 at 08:38 PM
Last night, was in Buffalo for the Canadiens vs Sabres hockey game. The Sabre fans behind us were crude and boarish. Seems like half of them are that way. Was nice to let them know that not only did my Canadiens beat them, but that my Dolphins would follow up with a butt kicking today.
Thanks to Buffalo and their weak pro teams for making my weekend.
Posted by: Lips | October 04, 2009 at 08:38 PM
First off stop busting on Cuban he is a devoted Finfan, second the Canes would get stomped by the Gators.

Thanks shaggy, been about 6 bud lights and 4 jack and cokes also typing on my cell phone, so they'll be plenty of errors..the good thing is i was at a bar in Manhattan watching games on t.v and the jets fans were so P/Oed about there loose and here i was with a few peeps watching the air breathers dominate in a little corner of the club.. it made me laugh, next up for the mammals the jets, on Monday, in Miami,i smell another sad nite for jets fans if the phins play like they did tonite..... :)
Posted by: cuban menace | October 04, 2009 at 08:41 PM
Lips how's it going aye?
Posted by: Wnyphinphan | October 04, 2009 at 08:41 PM
Good overall game: better tackling, good instinct plays on defense, efficiency in offense behind Brown & Williams.
But still a so so QB protection and no vertical passing game vs a depleted Buffalo defense.
We must work on that because the Jets defense will be somethig else...
Posted by: Yan | October 04, 2009 at 08:45 PM
Hey Cuban how come in Manhattan, are you in the military?
Posted by: H8dpats | October 04, 2009 at 08:46 PM

Aloco, I look forward to Carlitos post...one of the few true fans here that has gotten it right!!! All these Henne doubters and FAKE fans need to delete this app and go to "I know nothing about football app" and for u Sanchez lovers u can go to "I will toss your salad" app...I respect the people who know what the hell they are talking about, that includes NjPhinfan, Carlito, Cuban Menace, and a couple others, including you...Shawn and the Jets idiots just go away...
Posted by: bobbyd12 | October 04, 2009 at 08:46 PM
The Ravens I mean the jets will need a new gameplan they wont be able to put 8 in the box,and dare henne to go up top he has the arm to do it.The more work in practice that he gets as the starter will only make him better.
Posted by: Beetlejuice | October 04, 2009 at 08:47 PM
OK guys Great victory by the mighty air breathers, but now i must catch a subway from Manhattan to coney island half intoxicated and wearing a # 13 dolphin uniform, hopefully ill make it home with out incident, so later guys have a "PHINTASTIC" nite

Posted by: H8dpats | October 04, 2009 at 08:49 PM
H8dpats, remember it's the Gators that dropped the Canes off their schedule, not the other way around....Canes beat the Gators so much they are scared of us...proof is in the record
Posted by: bobbyd12 | October 04, 2009 at 08:50 PM
Later Cuban be safe.

Bobbyd12, I hate to break the news to you, but carlito , aloco , gopats , the cuban menace , etc are all the one person.
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | October 04, 2009 at 08:59 PM
Was at the game; what a feeling! We destroyed them. I felt bad for their fans toward the end, they weren't even getting the ball. Seriously, if we play like this every week, we can beat any team.
The turning point play was the pick returned for a TD by vontae. I think that this might have turned our season around. You should have seen the elation that erupted in the stadium after that pick. Everything opened up after that. Remember this, this was the play that will turn the Dolphins' season around.
Also, for a minute there, I thought number 91 was Vonnie Holliday. I had to do a double take on it to realize that it was a rookie...Cameron Wake!!! It's a crime to keep this guy on the bench.
Henne looked very confident and well poised. He could have connected on a few long passes had it not been for a couple of drops. This guy is the real deal BTW!
Go Phins!!!!!!!

28-point margin of victory, Miami's largest since Sept. 8, 2002.

Posted by: Bocafinfan | October 04, 2009 at 09:12 PM
Henne the hero!!!!
I was at the game and from my seat Henne look calm and in control of offense. Ronnie Brown is animal, Ricky Williams is beast.
Vontae show what 1st round pick should look like!
Posted by: carlito from golfito | October 04, 2009 at 09:16 PM
Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting via his Twitter account that Dolphins defensive end Phillip Merling suffered a "serious" foot injury....
Posted by: Po White Trash | October 04, 2009 at 09:16 PM
I love to see Bills fans leaving stadium in 3rd quarter. I made sure to tell them goodbye and come back next year for good beating. They should not worry, they still best team in Canada.
Posted by: carlito from golfito | October 04, 2009 at 09:16 PM
Hooray ! Now let's beat a good team !
Posted by: Akarojo | October 04, 2009 at 09:17 PM
Wnyphinphan, I think you meant to say, 'How's it going, eh?'
And after this weekend, it is going well!
Posted by: Lips | October 04, 2009 at 09:19 PM
The loss of Merling takes away any joy I might have felt about this victory.
I can no longer celebrate when next week fast approaches.

Posted by: ALoco | October 04, 2009 at 09:23 PM
Remember dolphins win 9 of 10 games to end season last year? Now is time to go on a streak like this again! Defense looking really good with D line playing tuff, JT and Wake get sacks, Vontae and Allen int machines, and Sean SMith with good coverage!
p.s. I told you all Henne to be good!
Posted by: carlito from golfito | October 04, 2009 at 09:26 PM
Cameron Wake is the perfect example that not all your players need to play special teams
I cant believe the fins have had this animal inactive because he is not good on special teams....ridiculous
Anyway great game today by everyone
now we get the jets and we are in a good spot heading into the bye
Go fins
