It is officially a thriller.
The Saints erased a 24-10 halftime lead and got within 27-24 in the third quarter. But moments ago, Chad Henne and Brian Hartline combined for a 67 yard completion and Ricky Williams scored his third TD of the game to extend Miami's lead again.
And so we have a barn burner.
Join me in the comments section for the fourth quarter to see if the Dolphins can finish the upset they have started.

So Pissed, warned you fan boys about Bree's, Knew after we let them score before halftime we were in trouble. All talking aside, congrats SAINTS FANS. You guys earned it through four quarters. That is something my phins need to work on.

it really hurts to be a dolphin fan...that indy game was something no one has ever witnessed with time of possession, and now we blow a 21 point lead and wind up losing by double digits--wow
Posted by: big I | October 25, 2009 at 07:56 PM
why didnt we trade ginn for cribbs?
Posted by: Earl | October 25, 2009 at 07:56 PM
22 unanswered points in fourth never will win like that
Posted by: JBfishman | October 25, 2009 at 07:56 PM
This game doesn't hurt too much. The Saints are a very good team. However, someone has to explain to me what exactly happened to the Dolphins run. They just stopped trying.
However, the schedule will get easy soon and I still think 9 wins is attainable. If they take one from the Pats, they will have 10 and perhaps make the playoffs.
They were 2-4 last year too.
They need more playmakers.

What a disappointing loss. I'm glad I wasn't able to see the game. How could the Fins give up a 21 point lead?!? I know Ted Ginn has a hand in it. Instead of this being a statement game for Miami they are now 2-4. Blah. Looks like the defense was useless when it counted...as usual. WHAT A TURD!!!

it is so clear now, teddy wont be a dolphins the next year, the man it is not a WR, too softie.

little boy goes to school and partakes in a spelling competition, teacher says spell bust, the child replies G.I.N.N, teacher says... close enough
Posted by: Dol Fan | October 25, 2009 at 07:58 PM
We were 2-4 last year and 1-1 in the division, were 2-4 again and 2-0 in the division. But somehow feels much more hopeless this year! Wow what a step backwards this week.

Cut Ginn Tonight!
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 07:59 PM
Sparano gonna take alot of heat for some pisspoor performance by some of the Finz. Too bad....they should have won this fight.

Ginn sucks! Butterfinger motherF#%^^
Posted by: Finatic | October 25, 2009 at 07:59 PM
No excuse for that game...good team or not, a 21 point lead should always be enough. We are just not a good team yet.
This one hurt. bad.
Posted by: krueg | October 25, 2009 at 07:59 PM
Fasano is dropping too many too.
CUT GINN!

Ray, please.....We lost this game through holes. In no particular order...
Hole one...Crowder
Hole two....Wilson.
Hole three.. Ginn
Hole four... Just before halftime, and seccond half coaching.
Face it, we can beat anyone, but we are not there yet.
Posted by: shaggy | October 25, 2009 at 08:00 PM
Its time for some accountability. Neither Wilson or Ginn are earning their paychecks.
Posted by: Dolfan abroad | October 25, 2009 at 08:01 PM
Send ginn back to his sorry ass daddy. Drop his sorry ass. Chicken shi%.
Posted by: Finatic | October 25, 2009 at 08:01 PM
Seriously, the Tuna himself should cut Ginn's ass tonight!
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:01 PM
Boy espn is talking crap about ginn. Wow
Posted by: phinsfan6453 | October 25, 2009 at 08:02 PM
oh man what a bad feeling after this game... just want to get some stuff out my chest before i go to bed and dream about killing Ginn.
For me 3 things made us lose the game:
1. Drops. OMG is it normal to have that many drops? ginn is a master at dropping it but Fasano is close.
2.Time managment. Whats up in this game? We were all about time managment and in this game it looked more of a "who can score faster"
3. It is a little minor, but Sharpers TD, wasnt so.. it was a TB.
Posted by: Andy from Spain | October 25, 2009 at 08:02 PM
Special teams is very bad too!
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:03 PM
I don't understand why we stopped running the ball in the 2nd half????????
Posted by: phinsfan6453 | October 25, 2009 at 08:03 PM
ESPN just echoed the feelings of everyone on here about Ted Ginn
Posted by: Bernski | October 25, 2009 at 08:03 PM
FINS ON THE ROAD NEXT 3 WEEKS .3 LOOSES FOR SUR W/ PEOPLE LIKE FASANO,WILSON,CROWDER,JT ,GINN AND THE COACHES FROM HELL W/GUM
Posted by: ALoco | October 25, 2009 at 08:03 PM
REALY PITIFUL....THE GAME CHANGED WHEN BONEHEAD SPORANO CALLS TIMEOUT WITH 5 SECONDS LEFT IN THE HALF. BREES SCORES INSTEAD OF KICKING THE FIELD GOAL BECAUSE IT STOPPED THE FRICKEN CLOCK. TOOK ALL THE MOMENTUM AWAY FROM THE FINS AND THEY NEVER GOT IT BACK.
AT LEAST THERE IS SOME CONSISTENCY ON THIS TEAM. TED GINN AND ANTHONY FASANO...THEY CONSISTENTLY DROP PASSES. WAY TO GO BOYS.

sparano is a joke
Posted by: allan | October 25, 2009 at 08:05 PM
I'm so sick.
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:05 PM
One last thought is that defense play calling starts all blitzing the game and as it goes along the blitzed less and less.
Posted by: Andy from Spain | October 25, 2009 at 08:05 PM
You know why Aloco? I'm not a fair weather fan. I've been a fan since 1983 and will be a fan after they bury me in the ground. Fact is the team is a lot more talented than it was 2 years ago. They are coming along. And with the following teams on the schedule, I see reason for optimism:
NY Jets
New England
Tampa Bay
Carolina
Buffalo
New England
Jacksonville
Tennessee
Houston
Miami is better than all these teams. Don't insult or hate me for being faithful and loyal.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | October 25, 2009 at 08:05 PM
need a new coach
Posted by: allan | October 25, 2009 at 08:06 PM
I've been telling you guys for over a year about Ted (Hands of stone) Ginn and his family, but Nooooo, you all kept saying" Ohhh it takes 3 years for a wide receiver" lmfao....again the menace has superior intellect then some of you so called "Experts", but i degrees, until you get rid of the cancer named "Ginn" , nothing will help our beloved air breathing mammals....
Posted by: cuban menace | October 25, 2009 at 08:06 PM
what a joke this team is
Posted by: allan | October 25, 2009 at 08:07 PM
It's sad to say but I honestly feel like crying right now. What a depressing loss. These are the days that make you feel like giving up on all sports, but it will only last a few days until we beat the jets again.F*********CCCCCCCCKKKKKKK!!!
Posted by: Irish Finfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:07 PM
this is not sparano's fault.
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:07 PM
I just wasted four hours of my life!!
Posted by: Jscottviper | October 25, 2009 at 08:07 PM
we stopped running it because we were being stuffed and the saints started stacking the box and daring us to throw
Posted by: booGibrilWilson | October 25, 2009 at 08:07 PM
i dont want to see ginn on the dolphins, anytime he get one ball, screws 10 passes, please anyone but ginn and his family. Ginn was selected as a favor to his family.
Posted by: JC | October 25, 2009 at 08:07 PM
ginn is sorry
Posted by: allan | October 25, 2009 at 08:07 PM
we have the QB were are the other guys
Posted by: fannut | October 25, 2009 at 08:08 PM
From someone who is so used to dominating teams with shula and marino, to the heartbreaking crap since the Johnson years, I am all to accustomed to this, and partly expected it.
Yes, Ginn sucks, but The Coaching staff deserves a huge turd sandwich on this one. They went soft on these guys that were sucking wind like they were on MT everest. Epic fail, almost a Jets fail.
Posted by: shaggy | October 25, 2009 at 08:08 PM
Ginn is a waste. Garbage! Dump his ass where he belongs. Can em. And too many freakin broken tackles. This Sucks!!! I need help. Omg.

Posted by: ALoco | October 25, 2009 at 08:10 PM
1. Ginn goes--non-negotiable.
2. Special Teams coach should be fired.
3. Porter is done. No one takes him seriously anymore.
4. Anyone seen the linebackers this year?
5. Is there anyway we could possibly cover the intermediate pass over the middlle of the field . . .EVER???!!!!
Rookies get a pass. This batch has produced better than any Dolphin's rookie class in recent memory.
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 25, 2009 at 08:10 PM
what a sorry team
Posted by: allan | October 25, 2009 at 08:10 PM
2-4. Ugh!
Posted by: Finatic | October 25, 2009 at 08:12 PM
I agree....Porter is a piece of meat. Crowder is decent at stopping the run, but he should go too, along with st coach.
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:12 PM
a lot of these coaches must go
Posted by: allan | October 25, 2009 at 08:12 PM
And one more thing as we approach Halloween. Is it just me, or doesn't Sean Payton bear an eerie resemblance to Lee Harvey Oswald?
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 25, 2009 at 08:13 PM
davis and smith are playing well for rooks indeed.
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:13 PM
Put Ginn on the practice team and inactive for the next 8 0r 9 games........maybe the F.head would learn how to catch a football
Posted by: Jscottviper | October 25, 2009 at 08:13 PM
we got BEAT up front 2nd half
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:14 PM
Again, the menace knew this was coming " Fire the coach, cut this guy and that guy" i laugh at all you so called "FANS".... get a grip, this is not that good of a team, they were lucky last year with that schudule, but unfortunitly win you go 11 and 5 , the next year you will be playing the best... so suck it up guys, this is what we got....
Posted by: cuban menace | October 25, 2009 at 08:16 PM
sparano must answer for this
Posted by: allan | October 25, 2009 at 08:17 PM
cuban.... teddy should go, regardless.
Posted by: sanfrandolfan | October 25, 2009 at 08:18 PM
1. What can I say about Ginn that hasn't been said? Ok, I can't help it, I'll be redundant: HE'S A COWARD WITH BAD HANDS. He short-armed that deep post in the 4th quarter because he was worried about being hit in the back. There. I feel better already!
2. Porter is still a hothead, but now he's a lost-a-step-hothead. Look for Wake to start getting lots more PT.
3. This loss hurts because if we had anything resembling a playmaker at receiver or tight end WE WIN THE GAME!
