The Dolphins hit the Saints in the mouth. They had a 68 yard touchdown run from Ricky Williams. They had two more Williams touchdowns after that.
The Dolphins were leading 24-3 in the second quarter.
And then reality hit.
The Saints got an interception return for a touchdown. Then Drew Brees woke up.
Then Brees realized the Dolphins cannot cover tight ends and started feeding Jeremy Shockey, who went for over 100 receiving yards.
And then there was another 54-yard interception return for a touchdown.
And that was the recipe for an upset-gone-bad.
The Dolphins held a 34-24 lead going into the fourth quarter. And the Saints whizzed by them like a Corvette passing a Pinto.
Final: Saints 46, Dolphins 34.

More Jettrash Blogging. Watch the game....
Coaches can’t catch the ball for Ginn or Fasono; or tackle for Wilson. Place the blame with the P.O.S.s that have it comming.

PFT is reporting that Will Allen is gone for the season with a torn ACL. Vonte Davis is supposed to move into his spot.
Posted by: WestTNFinFan | October 25, 2009 at 09:52 PM
I don't want to hear about the dolphins rebuilding. Last year they showed us that this coaching staff gets more out of our players than any team in the NFL. They gave us reason to believe in the team and I hate when refs and ginn make it near impossible to accomplish our goals
Posted by: Collegemike7 | October 25, 2009 at 09:53 PM
The loser Jet and Pats fans are invading our blog F them!

Ouch Will Allen out? Not good
Posted by: Hennegivensunda | October 25, 2009 at 09:54 PM
I am sorry that last 600 QBs leading up to #13, except pennington, were all worthy of "d!ck riding" - give props we're they due, Henne is working with less than stellar receiving corps - I think the guy is handling his own. Love his play - sorry bud I have been a dolphin fan for a long time - probably longer than you have been alive - I remember the actual fish tank in the endzone!
Posted by: Alto. | October 25, 2009 at 09:54 PM
will allen sucks, im glad the rookies get a chance

Cuban Menace ...We should have never been in the situation to have to boo Teddy..I 100 percent blame the coaching staff for this loss..this game really hurt this team

Weren't we 2-4 last year?
Posted by: Rdiorio75 | October 25, 2009 at 09:57 PM
Hennegivensunda,
The Phins are heading in the right direction, but it's awfully frustrating to see them lose in the manner they are losing.
Is Patrick Turner really that awful that he can't take some of those game reps that Ginn gets?
Is Chris Clemons so putrid that he can't sniff the field in place of Gibril Wilson?
Posted by: Phinswin? | October 25, 2009 at 09:57 PM
I place jet and pat fans in the same scum bucket with ginn!they need all drop dead.
Posted by: Gertrudys | October 25, 2009 at 09:57 PM
PLEASE READ: When Barry Sanders played for Detroit, my buddies and I used to laugh at coach Wayne Fontes everytime he called a passing play. I would hand off to Barry EVERY SINGLE PLAY. Same thing is happening now. Why why why would Fatass Sparabo allow any passes whatsoever? Why?
Posted by: Fire Fatass Sparano | October 25, 2009 at 09:57 PM
why is ted ginn such a little p.u.s.s.y? you are a pro football player go out and make a play
Posted by: zach | October 25, 2009 at 09:58 PM
dan henning calls the plays not sparano
Posted by: zach | October 25, 2009 at 09:59 PM
Rookie corners do better when thrown to the fire - that is the only way they learn - ie Madison
Posted by: Alto. | October 25, 2009 at 09:59 PM
The whole premise of Teddy Ginn was that he had "World Class" speed, remember? He does, but unfortunately the hands didn't come along. But the truth of the matter is our 'D' calling went flat in the 2nd half. We stopped shifting the DL that worked till then and had them confused, stopped blitzing, gave up the customary middle passes because our lB's and safeties can't cover worth a hoot. It's a shame that we had 5 sacks and many more pressures even though Brees had only been sacked 4 times. Besides the blown tackles, poor kick off coverage and the INT's etc. And how many passes is Fasano going to drop? Now I found out Will Allen is out with a torn ACL. So let's play the rookies at Db's and Clemons at safety so they can get experience. Next draft we need quality ILB, OLB to replace aging Taylor, Porter, S, and DT 'cause Ferguson is getting old. Oh and by the way please no more experimenting throwing away high round picks on QB experiments.

Ginn's favorite play is "out of bounds" play and of course the "Hey, watch this ball bounce off my hands!" play. What you been watching?
Posted by: Phinswin? | October 25, 2009 at 10:00 PM
Ginn has got to go!! And why in the hell did we not get Braylon Edwards? Another problem is coaches abandoned the wildcat on the last drive with camrillos "toss out" play. Hell there was 8 minutes left!! Why put game on the arm of the rookie? He is good but not ready to rely on just him. Give it to Ronnie and Ricky!!

There's a queer named Nancy out here that don't know what he talking about,it's been confirmed by hennegivensunday.it must b a jet fan!
Posted by: Gertrudys | October 25, 2009 at 10:01 PM
I hear alot of belly aching. Yes we shot ourselves in the foot with penalities. The complaining about passing too much. They were putting 5 or 6 in the box and rushing. Ginn does suck and should be benched. The Sharper touchdown was allowed cause you cant get CONCLUSIVE evidence to over rule the call on the field which was a touchdown! Sucks I know but you can't overturn without 100% proof. The Bess fumble was questionable. I felt he was down. The saints didnt beat us. The fins beat themselves.
Posted by: DolfinNTokyo | October 25, 2009 at 10:03 PM
yea phinswin you are right, i think ginn should only be thrown to when there isnt anyone around him i.e. during practice in 1 on 1 sessions with the QB
Posted by: zach | October 25, 2009 at 10:03 PM
It's obvious a lot went wrong tonight, but we need to focus on the main problem and get ourselves a true number one receiver. This way if we put ourselves in a hole, we have a shot of getting out of it
Posted by: Collegemike7 | October 25, 2009 at 10:03 PM
Po White Trash
Are you saying that the coaches don't know that Ginn has bad hands and questionable intestinal fortitude?
Posted by: Phinswin? | October 25, 2009 at 10:03 PM
I,need to kown did the wildcat work We. Need. Some heart on the wildout. We r a good team we need to get heat on the O
Posted by: Antglasses | October 25, 2009 at 10:04 PM
Gopats should marry Ginn n live happily ever after...
Posted by: Gertrudys | October 25, 2009 at 10:04 PM
the sharper TD was caused because ginn cant mcatch a ball with a defender near him
Posted by: zach | October 25, 2009 at 10:04 PM
We CAN rely on Henne!
Posted by: Gertrudys | October 25, 2009 at 10:05 PM
1. Ginn needs to go. Porter's reaction sums up how everyone feels watching that crap. Start Hartline in his place...can't be worse.
2. Gibril Wilson can't cover or tackle. Failed tackle of Reggie Bush on 3rd down deep in their own territory was horrible.
3. Absolutely stupid to abandon the run when they were up 3 and even down 3. There was plenty of time in the game.
4. When they needed to extend the field and take shots at the end, why would they possibly dink and dunk 5 yard passes that aren't far enough outside to stop the clock. What kind of idiocy is that? Take the shot downfield and try to win the game. Doesn't matter if you lost by 12 or 19...take the shot.
Posted by: dan2me | October 25, 2009 at 10:05 PM
You play with what ya got!
Ginn spreads the field even if he cant catch!
As I remember, he had a good play on the Jets.
I do agree that we should let him ride the wood now.
Posted by: Po White Trash | October 25, 2009 at 10:06 PM
wilson should open a shelter for the homeless and live happy ever after .

New Orleans outscored Miami 36-10 in the second half, totaling 302 yards compared to the Dolphins' 159 yards after halftime.
That's the only stat needed to explain this mess. The Saints did what most team would be excited about doing in a whole game. Tell me we don't have a soft defense.
Posted by: JaxPhinfan | October 25, 2009 at 10:08 PM
yea but ginn doesnt want to get hurt so if there is a defender in front of him he wont catch it
Posted by: zach | October 25, 2009 at 10:08 PM
Well at least porter can take his frustration out on dirty sanchez next week!!
Posted by: Seyurtku | October 25, 2009 at 10:08 PM
"Ginn spreads the field even if he cant catch!"
Then have enough sense not to ever throw it to him!!
Posted by: Phinswin? | October 25, 2009 at 10:08 PM
Patrick Turner must have some kind of issue or he would be out there.
You never know what tomorrow brings.
I am on the record for PLAYING THE ROOKS!!!!
Posted by: Po White Trash | October 25, 2009 at 10:09 PM
Sparanbo can override any play that Henning calls. Instead, he sits back and eats, making his fat ass even fatter. Fire Sparano immediately. He does not use his weapons correctly.
Posted by: Fire Fatass Sparano | October 25, 2009 at 10:09 PM
did anyone see the play where shockey made gibril look like a little pee wee player, i thought when you tackle you are supposed to get low not try to grab the shoulder pads of a player and ride him 30 yards down the field
Posted by: zach | October 25, 2009 at 10:10 PM
the worst defense in the nfl is the dolphins .they keep losing the games for the team .btw i forgot what happened to the MONTOR CRAP OF JT .

If Ginn didn't play against the Jets 2 weeks ago, do we win?
I agree ginn sucks but Who else ya gonna play
Posted by: Po White Trash | October 25, 2009 at 10:12 PM
Sparano didn't miss catchable balls or miss tackles that should have been made. He prepares his players to the best of their abilities and if they don't perform u cannot put full blame on the coaching staff. Keep in mind we were a 1-15 teal before sparano and parcells took over. We have still come a long way!
Posted by: Collegemike7 | October 25, 2009 at 10:12 PM
LOL @ ZACK'S POST
Posted by: GOpats | October 25, 2009 at 10:12 PM
i see what ur saying but sparano is a good coach, it seemed like the staff may have been overthinking...we'll get it fixed and take it out on the jets
Posted by: zach | October 25, 2009 at 10:12 PM
WHY DID THEY LET RICKY WILLIAMS RUN THE BALL ONLY 9 TIMES? RIDICULOUS!!!!
Posted by: oliver rubber | October 25, 2009 at 10:12 PM
fasano's a big pus too....we pass out of wcat 4 1st down n he drops good pass....what a disappointment
Posted by: UGH | October 25, 2009 at 10:12 PM
Well just to add my insight from yesterdays comments .....Saints cannot play in heat, humidity will wipe them out they even had to wear there black uniforms...secondly Saints defense cant stop the wildcat gonna ram the ball down there throats..well you did the first couple of series,...defense will be all over Brees and keep him fom getting hot did the first half....so congrats you won the first half to bad saints came back and won the second and that the one that counts
Posted by: leschex | October 25, 2009 at 10:13 PM
Ginn sucks, period!!! Than Crowder sucks.. I saw him get blown up on a few plays... and Wilson, I don't even have to say anything... Get Ginn and Wilson out of the starting lineup.... activate Turner and make Ginn inactive for a game to see if he wakes the heck up. I can't even explain how mad I am. He is the softest "football" player I have ever seen in my life!!! Play Clemons and Turner, they can't be worse.
