JACKSONVILLE -- This one seemed well under control. The Dolphins were leading 14-7. They were deep in Jaguars territory.
And then Vernon Carey gave up a second-down sack. Then offensive coordinator Dan Henning called a sweep on third-and-18 which didn't get within an area code of a first. And then Dan Carpenter missed a chip-shot field goal.
Not to be outdone by bad tidings, the defense then got in the act. Torry Holt caught 63 yard pass from David Garrad. And the Jags kicked a field goal.
It is 14-10.
Ricky Williams, by the way, has fumbled three times today, having just lost the first one for him.

thats the game i think...unless Henne comes back to earth...seems like he let that great run override his brain and hes now back to overthrowing and now a stupid throw....i guess thats how they learn...if phins dont start tackling it will be over
Posted by: dagaNJ | December 13, 2009 at 03:38 PM
Why do we always throw with double tight ends? We had good success last week going 3 wide.
Posted by: DrDon | December 13, 2009 at 03:38 PM

Amando-Why are the Dolphins falling apart again-what is it with henne + the rest-lack of conditioning, internal fortitude, no defensive interception drills?

The only thing keeping us in this game is that their offense sucks more than our ability to blow the game.

I know Jags are not powerful on offense, but our defense is plaing great and hold Jones-Drew in check!! Great game so far defense!! now let's have a long drive and score or at least run the clock out!! I won't be happy until I see Henne taking a knee...

This is unreal. Should be up by 30 pts by now.
Posted by: Ejm1385 | December 13, 2009 at 03:41 PM
Again, our D steps up. The gameball has to go to our D. They are the reason we are still on top. Don't ya agree Mando?
Our coaches must be soiling their pants now, and the play calling on offense for the rest of the game will likely be too conservative.
Posted by: Jules | December 13, 2009 at 03:41 PM
Yep. No matter what happens now, the defense played well enough to win this. The game should have been a blowout.
