Live blog chat right here at 1 p.m.

After spending some time with the blog regulars during the 35-31 Colts victory over Jacksonville Thursday night, I got this grand idea that perhaps a live blog chat was in order.

So I dialed room service and ordered it up for today.

There will be a live chat on this blog at 1 p.m. and we'll go as long as you guys keep it interesting.

We can discuss Sunday's game. We can discuss the playoff picture. We can discuss anything and everything Miami Dolphins.

By the way, the Jacksonville loss Thursday night means the Baltimore Ravens (7-6) are now the No. 6 seed for the playoffs. The Dolphins (7-6) trail them, but obviously have the opportunity to make up that ground over the season's final three games.

Meet back here at 1 p.m. And if you can't be here then, leave whatever questions or comments you have now and I'll respond when the action begins.

By the way , i 've had my share of disagreements with mando over the years. Mando can attest to that. I have to much respect for him to stoop to name calling on him. that's not " having a little fun on the internet "

Jim,

I just hope Ricky finishes over 1k in yards this year and follows it up with that or more next year to give him a shot at Canton...

Armando, it looks like next year will be an uncapped year..how exactly does that change the Dolphins plans or does it???

cleeuw - Which BW3's location do you usually go at?

Mando if Wilfork is let go by NE where does he land?

Menace , it is freezing outside and you're right it's friday. Time for my prediction. can you give me until later today after the practice report and the injuries ?

Victor - Ricky in Canton?? NO way. As much as I would love to see it, but it is not happening. He would have to play another 5 years or more and win a championship. I just do not see it happening, especially with his susspensions from the league!

Zachattack, Henne was a drafted after Brian Brohm went to GB, after the Bears picked Matt Forte, after Buffalo picked James Hardy, after the Redskins picked Mal Kelly and Thomas and after detroit picked Jordon Dizon.

ALL those teams wish now they would have picked Chad Henne over the guys they picked. All those teams would be in vastly different situations if they had picked Henne back then.

Armando - you never did answer my question...??

Mando, Great work on here. Ignore the haters...your doing great! Looking back at the 2008 draft how do you think Henne would b drafted now compared to the others seeing what we've seen so far? I personaly think higher than Flacco. I think he has the most upside out of all of them. I grew up in Reading PA where Henne played high school ball for Wilson. Thanks, Tim

I unfortunately agree with NJ on this Dyingbreed/dying Buffoon/Hail Hitler thing, You went to far my friend....

I can back up NJ on that one, I'm up here and it's freezing, 28 degrees today, 4-10 inches of snow tommorrow...glad I'm coming home tommorrow

thanks for your answer Mando!

NJ,

Please grow up. Even Armando's ignoring you. If he had such a big problem with me he would ban me.

Please grow up NJ, other grown men are watching. Just trying to be nice and pull your coat tail to the fact you're now making a complete and utter idot of yoursefl. Not that its anything new however.LOL

I watched James Hardy in college as I am an Indiana University alumni. I think he has really good talent, but just got drafted by a crappy team with a crappy QB...it is a shame! I wish he would of ended up in Miami.

id rather have a home game, even if it is against the patriots, than a road game against the bangles. plus, if you win the division, there is a chance you could host the afc championship game, should there be a couple of upsets.

Indiana, I'm scrolling looking for your question and can't find it. Saw you made a couple of comments to other posters, but can't find the question.

Please do as O'Neal used to do for the Pacers and repost.

Yes NJ, Even Deity's need to be updated on injured personnel.....

ARMANDO AGAIN, DID YOU EVER ATTEMPTED TO WORK FOR A PRO NFL TEAM AS SCOUT OR ANOTHER LEVEL OF MANGEMENT ? I ASK B/C YOU YOU THE BRAIN AND THE EYES AND THE YEARS OF FOLLOWING THE SPORT .

Q 2, DO YOU THE RIGHT THING TO DO IS TO TRADE RONNIE BROWN BASED ON HIS INJURY HISTORY AND GET RB FOR THE FUTURE ?

DO YOU THINK

DyingBreed

Dan Henning said yesterday we have a group Rodney Dangerifields as WR. Saying someone will offer us a 2nd round pick for Camarillo is crazy. Look Cam is a great player for Miami, but on most teams he would be a number 3 WR at best. I see Hartline has the potential to be a good number 2 WR and Bess is amazing in the slot. Having Camarillo as you 4th WR to rotate with Bess & Hartline would be a great scenario.

Like I said I just dont agree, Armando you are free to join are discussion on Camarillo leaving the team via trade.

Mando, just saw your response. Bummer you don't get in until so late tomorrow night. I thought the beat guys usually got in on Fridays. If you want to be hungover in the press box with an unexplained pair of cowboy boots on your feet, we can make that happen...

Do as Oneal would do and repost - - nice try at a joke~~ haha

Armando - Great stuff!! What do you think the chances of Miami making the playoffs is? I am giving them a 75% chance. Also, do you think there is a chance at all a 9-7 team makes the playoffs from the AFC?

Posted by: Indiana Dolfan | December 18, 2009 at 02:08 PM

"Please do as O'Neal used to do for the Pacers and repost."

BUT ARMANDO O'NEAL IS IN THE BEST SHAPE OF HIS LIFE AND WILL SURELY CATAPULT MIAMI TO THE ELITE OF THE EASTERN CONFERENCE.

No, really, what's the over under on how long he lasts? Thirty more games? Less?

Sorry, hate to say it but Tom Brady is the NFL comeback player of the year.

Ricky's got no shot.

Another thing Dying Breed is that if Miami is forced to find teir number 1 via Draft, there is no guarantee the player is gonna be a true number 1 so why set yourself back by getting rid of a guy who moves the chains and make key catch after key catch.

Robert, if Wilfork isn't re-signed in NE, he better be in Miami the next day signing a huge deal.

He is AWESOME!

will, u going to game? I'll b there too right behind Miami bench

Who is the team of the decade? Patriots with the most rings by cheating or the Colts with the best record of this decade?

Ricky Williams is not HOF material as of right now.

If he plays five more years and gains 1,000 yards every year, then maybe.

Also pass our message along to Darlington if he gets in tonight. I bet he'd enjoy some honkey tonking in music city.

also, you know, if you wanted to let us come hang out in the press box or something that would pretty rad...just sayin'

Armando,

I agree with you on Ricky, even though I am a HUGE fan of him...

But cmon if the Patriots stink up the final few games of the season no way he wins that award... But i guess i take that back since espn has been riding the Brady Banwagon all year.

Breed or should i say HEI HITLER , you have nothing to say about anyone. You were exposed as as a FRAUD !!! Dead fish , i mean dying breed tell everybody how the dolphins stink like fish . LMFAO ! BUSTED !!!! If i were you i woud STFU . IDIOT ? if the shoe fits... HITLER

Armando,

Last year our secondary took awhile for it to start "gellin" and they came together to be somewhat of a pretty good secondary.

This year, we basically had the same problem with new guys having trouble communicating with one another. Now as we approach the end of the season, I really think they've improved and are starting to be a pretty good pass defense again.

With that being said, do you agree or disagree and do you really think we need to address our secondary next year? I can see them trying to bring in another CB but no way do I see them bring in another safety.

Again, I can mock whatever and whomever I wish, even if its an anti-dolphin slam. All thats really important is that I know where my true allegiance lies.

Some of you need to relax and get a grip. This isnt a job interview and at the end of the day its still just football and not the single most important thing I should have over concerns about. LOL

Mando if Brady fails to ger NE in the playoffs he better not win Comeback player of the year.

Mando do you agree that Miami has a better chance of adressing the TE position via draft then they do WR. I know this past draft they really wanted to find a TE, but uffortunately Nalbone has not worked out.

Indiana Dolfan - Downtown Indy.

Team of the decade Indiana?

Everyone will give it to the Pats.

I cannot because of the cheating scandal.

If the Steelers had manned up this year, I would have said them. they didn't.

If the Colts win the title this year, I would say them. If they don't, I'll refuse to answer the question before I say N.E.

Armando,

that reminds me of a question you did not answer for me...

who do you like better from our rookie corners?

Man...I don't like that at all. I always thought being comeback player of the year wasn't about recovering from an injury, it was a player who had regressed as a professional athlete, then found the way to fight his way back...or a player who was treated like a castoff who found a new team and flourished.

It's not like Tom Brady became any less good when he got injured...sure, he did a good job going through surgery, therapy, and rehab, but that's no more than any starting-caliber player would be expected to do. Also, his team now is worse than it was then the last time he played, so his so-called "comeback" isn't really spurring his team onto new heights.

I just don't like it.

Armando, I'm still interested on your take on next year...if 2010 is an uncapped year, how does that change the Dolphins thinking or does it???

Indiana,

I wouldn't be surprised if a 9-7 team wins the AFC East. I wouldn't be surprised if both the Dolphins and Pats lost at least once more.

Will it happen? I dunno.

Indiana Dolfan,

I went to IU Bloomington too. graduated 2001. I hated seeing Hardy go to Buffalo. I live in Dayton, but if you Indy Dolfans ever need a place to go to watch the game, let me know. Also, Im a bengals season ticket holder and will be going to the fins game if they come to town.

This blog has been great, but it is Hannukkah and this Heil Hitler poster needs to stop. Im not Jewish, but that is offensive. It takes away fromt the awesome blog we are having and it is really messed up.

Armando can you ban that idiot.

Robert,

Its only my opinion, I could be wrong I could be right. It really isnt that serious with me.
I believe its all on the trifecta and what they believe is right or wrong. Dont quite believe the fins will be sending a personel check my way anytime soon. LOL

Mando do you see the dolphins maybe searching the canadian league for a reciever instead of big wager battles for a big nfl name ....i cant remember the players name but there was a reciever that slipped through to the cfl cause of off the field issues i wanna say he is like 6'3'' 220 but i can trmember his name

Will, I am laughing out loud over the cowboy boots comments.

Why are you wearing cowboy boots, mando?

I don't know. All I know is I have an inexplicable desire to ride a bull.

miami 27 tenn.13
cuban menace merry xmas

smirish - Do you have a place in mind to watch the game? Dayton is a pretty far drive somewhat. I graduated in 2008. I graduated High School in 01, but took the Ivy tech route to get my Associates before I went to IU. Would you happen to have an extra ticket if the Fins come to town?

I watch the games in Broadripple or a friends house. If you ever want to watch a game let me know. Email dolfan21083@hotmail.com

Thank You Wagon.....

Dying Breed trust me dude Im not mad, I respect your opinion. I just cannot see it happening. You just dont get rid of guys like Cam.

Offseason is gonna be real interesting. Especially if we some how get in the playoffs. They need to surround Henne with weapons. They have the right guys blocking now they need weapons. WR & TE and keep Ronnie.

Sean Smith in my mind has gotten very lucky many times this season. I can recall Smith getting beat deep several times but the ball wasn't thrown on target.

At first, I was really excited about Sean Smith. Now after watching Vontae play, he's been my favorite of the two. His run defense is a real benefit and I often see Sean shying away from contact. Vontae has made the plays, Smith hasn't.

To have both of them is a real treat but I'm really excited to see how good Vontae is going to be.

Armando,

I totally agree with you on that team of the decade assessment. I feeling you brother! See there are things which you and I can agree.

But I still havent a clue what it is that you have against Ricky Williams. Ive paid careful attention Mando and its plain to see you dont like the kid and it seems more than professional.

Mando, How come they didn't sign Zach Thomas for a year like JT? Zach is probably still better than Aydole or Torbor.

Hitler has been erased. Dyingbreed, you post that again, and you'll be deleted as well.

Is Zach Thomas retired? What happened with him? The last I heard was he got cut by KC before the season.

NJ, AN ADVIC FOR YOU TO STOP POSTING THIS BAD NAME B/C PEOPLE THINK THAT YOU ADMIRE HIM YOU DUMB .

PS...WHY YOU DIDN'T LIMIT YOUR POSTING TO FOOTBALL DURING THE LIVE BLOG ? YOU HAVE ALL NIGHT TO IMPRESS US W/THE FILTH .

IF we make the Playoffs I wonder what Ross will do at the stadium. I was not to sure of him at first, but I like what he has done. Especially not messing with the football side of things.

Now if only the Marlins could get the F out so we could get those seat closer to the field.

Ryan, your opinion of the two rookie corners is shared by a lot of people. I haven't seen the ball skills in the regular season that I saw in preseason from Smith.

Vontae is solid. He's got learning to do. But he truly is a physical dude.

Hey Armando,

I was wondering what you think Henne's ceiling is? He clearly has a big arm and I think he is for the most part pretty accurate. I know his completion percentage is a little low but i think some of that has to do with his receiving group. I think he has the potential to be a top 5 QB in the league. Your thoughts?
