Live blog chat right here at 1 p.m.

After spending some time with the blog regulars during the 35-31 Colts victory over Jacksonville Thursday night, I got this grand idea that perhaps a live blog chat was in order.

So I dialed room service and ordered it up for today.

There will be a live chat on this blog at 1 p.m. and we'll go as long as you guys keep it interesting.

We can discuss Sunday's game. We can discuss the playoff picture. We can discuss anything and everything Miami Dolphins.

By the way, the Jacksonville loss Thursday night means the Baltimore Ravens (7-6) are now the No. 6 seed for the playoffs. The Dolphins (7-6) trail them, but obviously have the opportunity to make up that ground over the season's final three games.

Meet back here at 1 p.m. And if you can't be here then, leave whatever questions or comments you have now and I'll respond when the action begins.

Right now Pat White has 2 dilemas. One he has to learn to read pro defenses. Even though he worked in the spread option in college NFL defenses are a lot more advanced. IMO, he's put into games just to get an up close and personel look at these defenses and the real speed of the game. He's in the learning stage.

Two, as I stated earlier the kid has to learn the pocket passing aspect of the game totally from scratch. So his true development and impact may not be felt for 2-3 years down the road.

But next season look for him to began making some plays out of the WildPat. By year 3 I look for WildPat to be a nearly unstoppable element of our offense. This is just how I envision it. I kind of have a pulse for what BP's decision of drafting this kid so high is. Parcell's is no fool, though it doesnt seem so right now.

If you lose it will be same reason 6 of last seven have lost.

1) VY does not make mistakes. Dinger has adjusted offense for VY and CJ. You say all you need to do is stop Y or C or force Y to pass. That has not worked. Good luck.
2) CJ breaks some big ones
3) Defense continues to play better
4) VY has good QB rating and passes better than you think.

regardless of any adjustments made by your OC, VY isnt Brady, Breeze, or Manning. Contain the run and we cap the oil wells. Just hope you oilhead rejects arent planning any large purchases soon. Or you just may be planning on bankruptcy court relying on VY alone. LOL

I know big game for you, even big game for us with very slim playoff hopes. But that is what being a fan is all about. I don't have stats in front of me but shutting down current Titans offense is no cake walk like some of you believe. Just saying crap is not being a fan. I respect fins and not easy game but we are at home and have the mo. Not a one player mo the whole team. Just be prepared.

I love Pat White because he has that very rare only a chosen few athletically gifted players have. The kid has a brain! 2 things you cant teach in sports, athleticism and brains. This is why I believe Parcells is so high on the kid.

Even though we dont see the finished product now, barely even a tenth of it, oh its coming. Oh boy is it coming and the NFL will have hell to pay! LOL

Thank you for the kind words guys and I want to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to one and all. I will start trying to participate more often. It just started getting a little weird in here and I needed a break. Talk to you guys soon and hopefully the phins can keep winning and get into the playoffs. If not I think this year will still be a good year and I hope I'm not alone in that assesment. Looks like we found our QB of the future along with two strong CBs who will only get better. Solai is playing well and even if he doesn't become our #1 DT he will be an excellent backup that will add good depth to the position. Wake is a beast on the pass rush and with one more offseason under his belt he may be pushing for a starting role. How bout that Randy Starks?! And he's still relatively young which will give Merling a couple more years to develop into the player we all hope he can be. O-line is solid with some quality depth but we could definitely use one maybe two more pieces to solidify the unit. Hartline and Bess are going to be EXCELLENT complimentary players and I believe if the team can find one star wideout our offense is going to be a force in the next couple of years. What can be said about Polite? The guy is money! Henning, as much as we get pissed at the guy I do believe he's one of the brightest minds coordinating an offense in the NFL. Problem is he outsmarts himself sometimes by trying to get to fancy or tricky when the play/situation calls for simplicity by doing what you do best. I'm hoping he learns from his miscues this year and comes out strong in 2010. Unfortunately it's not all good as I don't believe Gibril is the answer at FS and that needs to be addressed. So overall eventhough there are three games left I believe we found out a hell of a lot about this team in 09'. They're starting to turn that corner and the future looks bright. Pat White will NEVER be a starting NFL QB and that is a fact. It doesn't make sense to play this guy. It's either no yards or minus yards, not to mention putting Henne in a 3rd and long. Thigpen would make sense if you want to run any sort of option. That is, if you want to gain some yards.

The only thing I can think of, is Parcells said play him no matter what. In some wierd way, Parcells must think this justifies drafting him.
