JACKSONVILLE -- The Dolphins did it. They got over .500 for the first time this season.
It took some excellent defense -- particularly in the fourth quarter -- and some timely offense. But the Dolphins beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 14-10 Sunday to improve their record to 7-6 and remain in the chase for an AFC playoff berth.
So maybe it wasn't revenge for 62-7, but the desperate Dolphins will take it.
They got a 108-yard performance from Ricky Williams. Chad Henne had his moments also, at one point completing a team record tying 17 consecutive passes. He finished 21 of 29 for 220 yards.
The defense, meanwhile, limited Maurice Jones-Drew to 59 yards on 18 carries. There were no open receivers throughout. The Dolphins kept the Jags from converting on a couple of desperation fouth-down attempts.
It wasn't pretty. But the Dolphins will most definitely take it.
Your thoughts?
I'm thinking you have a 265lb beast like polite why are we not using him on 3rd and three when we see our passing game stalling??? He's good for at least 2 or 3 yds and on 4th and 1 we know he is money.

Have to give the defense credit. They came up strong during the 4th quarter again. Offense did just enough to win, or hold onto the ball to use the clock up at least. Too bad, it was looking like Henne and company were going to run up some great stats until they ran into a wall of marsh mellow it seems, in the second half. If Miami's defense continues to play like this they will be playoff bound.

I've got tickets the Dolphin/Titans game in Nashville next Sunday. I catch hell there wearing my Dolphin colors everytime I go. I just hope we can contain Chris Johnson. He is a helluva player and has already scored two TD's today against the struggling Rams.
