NASHVILLE -- The Dolphins were certainly game today, scoring 18 unanswered points to erase a 24-6 lead.
But after tying the game 24-24 at the end of regulation, the Dolphins ran out of miracles.
Chad Henne threw an interception on Miami's lone overtime possession and Greg Camarillo was flagged 15 yards for an unsportsmanlike penalty.
The interception and penatly basically set up the Titans for a 46 yard field goal by Rob Bironas. He connected.
"It's hard enough to beat 11 Titans," Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder said after the game. "You can't beat 17 Titans. Put that on your sheet."
Crowder was talking about the officiating crew being on Tennessee's side.
Anyway, Dolphins lose.
Miami is now 7-7 and although the playoff hopes are not dead, they are on life support.
Henne, by the way, was 29 of 46 for a career high 349 yards with one touchdown and three interception. Ouch.

Ravens and Broncos need to lose 2 for us to get in if we win our last 2.

Baltimore will still have the tiebreaker over us. We needed to win today

Raiders are playing them tough. Raiders stink but play well against playoff teams for some reason.

Thanks NJ, Now can you please turn off the snow????
Posted by: cuban menace | December 20, 2009 at 06:07 PM
NJ, don't start with that stuff. Nothing is over!
Baltimore looks strong to sew up one of the 2 remaining spots though.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | December 20, 2009 at 06:08 PM
Can we finally beat Houston?
Posted by: nighttrain76 | December 20, 2009 at 06:08 PM
H8, MY POINT WAS NOT PRAISING BRADY BUT SAYING THAT INTERCPTIONS IS A PART OF THE GAME .
HENNE IF YOU NOTICE IS VERY STEADY .SCORES POINTS IN EVERY GAME ,LOST 2 GAMES VS SAINTS AND COLTS B/C OF THE COACH AND THE LOUSY DEFENSE .SO HIS RECORD SHOULD BE UP BY 2 WINS .
Posted by: GOpats | December 20, 2009 at 06:08 PM
I'd think you guys would realize that more then half the bad and dumb posts are from Pat and Jets fans......
Seriously why do you let these idiots get you flustered???
Anyone who is calling for the benching of Henne and saying he is a bad QB is not a dolphins fan. Stop feeding these fools by responding.

I think we need to draft a game changing LB whether inside or outside with first pick, hopefully the kid from ALABAMA. then from their on the next available player of need. I think we get best DL or TE with next pick, hopefully the kid from OKLAHOMA. With the last 4 or 5 picks just fill the roster with best player left from WR,LB and S. Our team is there, just true #1 wr from being complete offense and the defense need a game changer at LB and a S who doesnt fall asleep or let wr get behind them and a little more pressure from the LB spot, if we are going to use a 34 defense in the future. WE need to draft 2 LBs one inside and 1 outside. i heard today that we have the most tackles by a secondary than any team in nfl and thats not good!!!

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | December 20, 2009 at 06:12 PM
I think we need these guys to buckle down and finish out this season strong!!! D@MN the draft right now still need to complete this body of work!!!! Overall this team has heart and any free agent should be attracted by that alone!! Lets see if Henne can shake this very tuff lose off and finish strong!!!
Posted by: j dizzle | December 20, 2009 at 06:12 PM
Mark
First Miami has to win out, if they do..
Denver can win out and we will get in
with a loss by Balt.
Balt is the key. They MUST loose one
for us to get in.
UNLESS Denver looses their last two, if they
do then Balt can then win out and we will still be in. But no, Denv and Balt both do not
have to loose to.
look at the Playoff generator.

Look how Randy Moss ended up in New England. T.Brady made the push!!! If Henne can finish strong I think he can talk Tony to get the trifecta on board to get a proven #1 WR at all cost!!!
Posted by: j dizzle | December 20, 2009 at 06:19 PM
Aloco, not many people driving unless they have to, if they need to work out they could shovel the 2 feet of snow we just got....
Posted by: cuban menace | December 20, 2009 at 06:20 PM
tough loss, but i, like most here, believe in henne the hero...he has all the tools and needs some upgrades at WR to allow his talent to truly flourish...our Offensive Line played very well and seems solid for years to come, no one seems to mention their consistency enough...need a bit more talent at WR and i think our corners are going to be strong for years to come...i think we are ahead of schedule and to believe we are/were SERIOUS contenders this year was a fantasy. Much better for the team to have Henne pitching 13 games this year, instead of him starting from scratch next year...and today boy, we showed some SERIOUS ba**s locking up CJ...Titans were reeling in the fourth q and if not for that incredible punt with 55 seconds to go, we would have had a real shot to get the GW field goal in regulation. That being said, number 19 must not be back next season...i have not hated on him his entire career, but a game like today where one contribution on KO return could have sealed it for us, and he continued to run backwards...if he cant shine as a returner, then he is worthless, not to mention the fumbled punt earlier in the game...all in all, a stepping stone of a season amidst the most difficult schedule in the league...and still an outside chance at the show....

I think we should be able to trade #19 to Baltimore!!! Look they picked up John Beck right after the Dolphins let him go.
Posted by: j dizzle | December 20, 2009 at 06:37 PM
And he was the future...............YEAH RIGHT
Posted by: j dizzle | December 20, 2009 at 06:39 PM
"It all begins with the LBs," old Parcells' quote.
Let me add the safeties and NT are soft too.
You guys suggesting we draft a WR in the first round are crackers. Like who? Yatil Green... Ted Ginn? Randal Hill? OJ McDuffie... did any of these guys make a Pro Bowl?
Defense wins championships. So does running the ball.
BTW... we need a RB before we need another WR. Think about that, please. RB is injury prone; RW is old and fumblesome.
Peace.

last month the medical JOURNAL I BELIEVE came w/ warnning for women to limit their X-RAY FOR THE SAME REASON .TO SOLVE THIS PROMBLEM OF CELL PHONE YOU CAN USE E MAIL OR SHUT THE HELL UP SINCE MOST OF THE TALK IN PHONES IS CRAP ANY WAY OR GO PHONE AND BLOCK TEXTING WOULD BE GOOD TOO SINCE THERE'S NO REASON FOR YOU PAY FOR THAT SINCE YOU HAVE INTERNET .
PS...WAS KNOWN IN THE US 8 YEARS AGO AND 6 MINUTES HAD A SHOW ABOUT IT .MY LOVE ONCES HAVE ONLY GO PHONE AND USED ONLY IN EMERGENCY .

Posted by: j dizzle | December 20, 2009 at 06:43 PM
Might need a RB on the 1st day of the draft.
Posted by: Po White Trash | December 20, 2009 at 06:44 PM
Guy's lets face it, Ted(no jock strap required)Ginn, His clip board holding daddy and his cousin Rufus(the blocking dummie)Ginn, and his sister Tednisha(The team HO) need to be cut loose so they can return to Ohio and build that bicycle shop that Teddy Sr. started 8 years ago, that's the only place the Ginns will be happy, And I for one want happiness for the Ginn family(Thus bring happiness to all dolfans)...... Just saying..
Posted by: cuban menace | December 20, 2009 at 06:45 PM
here are my draft priorities:
1RD FS
2RD WR
3RD NT
4RD ILB
5RD TE
6RD OLB
7RD RB or OL
Posted by: el guru | December 20, 2009 at 06:45 PM
This draft could be about the Best player available this year.
Posted by: Po White Trash | December 20, 2009 at 06:46 PM
j dizzle TALKS like he knows HENNE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE THIS TEAM ?
OK GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET FARMER .
Posted by: ALoco | December 20, 2009 at 06:47 PM
Could use a playmaker on Either side of the ball.
Posted by: Po White Trash | December 20, 2009 at 06:49 PM
NT needs to be round 1 priority if V.Wilfork isn't available!!!! P.Solia is good........ but not one but TWO holding penalties...........WTF!!!!
Posted by: j dizzle | December 20, 2009 at 06:49 PM
nope draft lb outside of course,te,lb inside,nt,s more lbs and maybe wr last. we need seasoned WR not some rookie. the year after that is when you invest a high pick on wr and he better come from the U
Posted by: phinfan from birth73 | December 20, 2009 at 06:51 PM
J Dizzle... I agree.
Back to my WR rant.
Parcells won two Super Bowls with the Giants.
Who were his WRs?
His two OLBs (Banks, Taylor) made more big plays than Lionel Manuel, Stephen Baker, Phil McConkey, Mark Ingram (that's about all I can remember).
BTW the TE Bavaro was a stud. We could use someone like him.
Posted by: Arnsy | December 20, 2009 at 06:51 PM
I haven't said anything about Henne!!! Get your facts together like your cell phone facts!!! Chump, or should i say chimp!!!! A Loco idioto?!?!?
