The NFL has made official each team's 2010 opponents and so here is what the Dolphins will be looking at in 2010.
At home, the Dolphins will play the Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions, as well as AFC East rivals Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and New York Jets.
On the road, the Dolphins will play the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Oakland Raiders, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens and their three AFC East rivals.
That means Miami will play eight games, or half their schedule, against teams that made the playoffs in 2009. The Dolphins will play three teams that won their divisions.

Any team that didn't win its division will play 3 teams that won their division...

Will hopefully the fins will play Detroit in sept so they can have at least 1 win in September....

CM, always good for a laugh.
Posted by: Po White Trash | January 04, 2010 at 07:09 PM
Very much like the schedule, gonna be some challenges no doubt but gotta beat the good ones to continue to get better!! Hopefully we give Pitt some payback too!!
Posted by: bobbyd12 | January 04, 2010 at 07:10 PM
Quite favourable at home but on the road could be very tricky.

Take em 1 at a time....

Doesn't mean anything until next year. It seems like the team could go 8-8. In fact the Phins are playing 4 games against playoff teams in their division, big deal. Lets see how the draft and free agents signings go before we start wringing our hands and counting losses. I think we actually hexed our team by worrying about playing the big bad boys in the NFL when the team was in every game this season.
Posted by: klndry | January 04, 2010 at 07:24 PM
I know you can't project next year's teams from this year (Bengals, anyone?), but I hope we sweep at home as our road schedule is daunting - at least as of today
Posted by: Heartburn | January 04, 2010 at 07:25 PM
6 out of 8 away games to play-off teams.... ouch...
Posted by: cuban menace | January 04, 2010 at 07:25 PM
Uri has a perfect point!!
Miami will start slow like always but, if the "09 phins played the "08 schedual. I think they would have been 13-3. An if vise versa, they would have been 3-13. So it's all about progress!!
The football gods will smile on us again soon!! Patience is a virtue!!
Posted by: Phinsman34 | January 04, 2010 at 07:33 PM
Don't know what their record will be yet but confident that they'll be better than 7-9 just from the expected improvement by players on the roster already.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | January 04, 2010 at 07:33 PM
As an NFL fan, I would think most fans want to watch their team play some of the best...even though we finished out of the playoffs, it was fun to see the Colts, New Orleans, Pittsburg and most of the teams we played at home this year!!! I really enjoyed myself and look forward to another exciting year in 2010
Posted by: bobbyd12 | January 04, 2010 at 07:34 PM
Looks like 10-11 wins to me.
Posted by: jbiggs | January 04, 2010 at 07:35 PM
When the Dolphins return for off season work in March, Pat white better be working with the receivers.
Posted by: Long time Dolfan | January 04, 2010 at 07:37 PM
Look for Pat White to be playing for UPS....
Posted by: cuban menace | January 04, 2010 at 07:45 PM
The Fins are looking at least 2 or 3 "cold weather" games next season. Brutal! The NFL could make it more, depending how evil they want to be. They will be lucky to go 3-5 on the road next season. But I really hope I'm wrong!
Posted by: PhinsMob | January 04, 2010 at 07:48 PM
Any team that didn't win its division will play 3 teams that won their division...
Great point above. I thought the same thing when I read what Mando's piece.
I am not worried about cold weather games. The Fins are tough and physical team.

Meh... I'm sure this wont be "the hardest schedule in the NFL" if you know what I mean... No schedule is a complete cakewalk, but this wont be the gauntlet of death schedule of 2009

look for pat white at skyline bike meessenger boy service.

bye bye ted gin....hello playoffs in 2010
Posted by: NHFINSFAN | January 04, 2010 at 08:31 PM
Bobbyd12,
without a doubt... who would it be for you?
Posted by: carlito from golfito | January 04, 2010 at 08:31 PM
Honestly, it's a hard choice but it would be Joey Porter, he had an attitude problem and had to be benched a game, he's taking up space and has gotten to that age where he is not producing for this team for the money. That's my choice
Posted by: bobbyd12 | January 04, 2010 at 08:34 PM
fwiw------wilson's my candidate too.
Posted by: EmoFinFan | January 04, 2010 at 08:38 PM

If I could pick one player to leave ASAP, it would be...Damn, just one...Wil-Tor-Dele?
Posted by: Marc | January 04, 2010 at 08:42 PM
Road schedule is a killer: we'll be underdogs everywhere except at OAK
Posted by: Yann | January 04, 2010 at 08:42 PM
I think Ted Ginn is staying, Wilson is out.
Posted by: FB | January 04, 2010 at 08:42 PM
I bet we get Greenbay in December ....
Posted by: Steve | January 04, 2010 at 08:43 PM
Every team in the NFL plays the very least 3 teams that won their respected division, so what the heck does that matter.
Posted by: Ryan | January 04, 2010 at 08:44 PM
Why do TCU's helmets look like old tacky stone washed jeans?
Posted by: carlito from golfito | January 04, 2010 at 08:49 PM
Only way to know if the team's any good is to play good teams.
Posted by: cocoajoe | January 04, 2010 at 08:49 PM
Got to replace the older guys on the wrong side of 30 when the season starts.
Akin Ayodele
Joey Porter
Especially!
Jason Ferguson and Jason Taylor shouldn't be more than 2 down players at most. Have to groom their long term replacements.
Yeremiah doesn't have much longer left either. Next year he might show signs of slowing down.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | January 04, 2010 at 08:51 PM
Hey mando now that the season is over does that mean that you stop writing too?
Posted by: CMDeOro | January 04, 2010 at 08:52 PM
What are you talking about? Mando has had 2 or 3 posts today?
Posted by: carlito from golfito | January 04, 2010 at 08:53 PM
If we get two stud receivers in the off season, we will be in every game next season. Henne and thigpen seem to have great potential. Every game that we lost, was because we did not score enough points and we did not pay the referees! I say that we bring in zach thomas as a backup next season. Zach may have made all the difference on defense this season, had they brought him in about mid-season.
Posted by: bond, david bond | January 04, 2010 at 08:58 PM
Please people, no more talk of Zack Thomas, Sam Madison, or Patrick Surtain this offseason
Posted by: carlito from golfito | January 04, 2010 at 09:02 PM
hahaa, we are trying to build a team for the future and people want to bring in guys who aren't as good as the players we already have anymore. The Dolphins are not a 1-15 team anymore. There aren't many GLARING holes like there used to be, but there are areas that we need to upgrade.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | January 04, 2010 at 09:05 PM
Please guys, the past is over and done...Carlito is right, no more Zach Thomas or anybody else..this team needs to get YOUNGER and prepare for the FUTURE, bringing back fan favorites from the past is nice and nostalgic, but doesn't accomplish what needs to be done...
Posted by: bobbyd12 | January 04, 2010 at 09:13 PM
If there is one position the Dolphins need to replace, especially in a 3-4 defense, is the nose tackle position. Their defense was strong when Jason Ferguson was there, but when he got injured, they could not stop anybody...he is very dependable when he is healthy, but he would be a question mark next year (due to his age and physical health).
Posted by: JE | January 04, 2010 at 09:16 PM
LMFAO @ bond david bond. Without a doubt the most asinine post of the day. Thanks for stopping by. :)
Posted by: NJ PHIN FAN | January 04, 2010 at 09:19 PM
wow i just watched sparanos press conference. he sure doesnt volunteer much about the team. the media lets him slide without asking any tough questions. sparano did say he finally figured out lex hillard, cam wake, brian hartline and others can "play". too bad he doesn't recognize alot of this during the summer camps 26 weeks ago so the reserves can find the field. we didn't have the LB'S to be a 3-4 defense. our coaches have to be evaluated thoroughly just like the players.
Posted by: greg z. | January 04, 2010 at 09:36 PM
Greg, we didn't have the linebackers to run the 4-3 either.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | January 04, 2010 at 09:40 PM
NEXT YEAR NO PLAYOFFS FOR SURE THE WAY THIS SCHEDULE IS.
Posted by: ALoco | January 04, 2010 at 09:59 PM

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | January 04, 2010 at 10:17 PM
Anyone who calls for Zach Thomas' return should be banned from commenting. The problem on defense is we are undersized.
Posted by: Tommy Boy Zenon | January 04, 2010 at 10:18 PM
At least there's 3 games that look pretty easy. In 2009, there wasn't one easy game on the whole schedule.
Posted by: mrmikejohnson | January 04, 2010 at 10:19 PM
We should bring back Sammy Smith. I think he's out of prison now and he averaged 3.2 ypc during his illustrious career. And he once rushed for 102 yards in a single game on only 33 carries.
Posted by: Tommy Boy Zenon | January 04, 2010 at 10:20 PM
Anyone thinks were drafting Dez Beyant his big and has excellent hands. Whatcha think??
Posted by: Dman | January 04, 2010 at 10:25 PM
Tommy , i think david bond wants to bring back jake scott and bob baumhower to fill in the S And NT needs.

MARK, DOES SHE KNOW HOW TO COOK ? AS YOU KNOW ANY WOMEN DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO COOK IS BAD NEWS .
Posted by: ALoco | January 04, 2010 at 10:33 PM
ALoco, she's not bad. Needs more practice though.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | January 04, 2010 at 10:36 PM
Everyone knows Ginn has struggled, but I don't think you can just cut him. He's the only guy with the speed to take it the distance, or at least a threat to. If he's gone we are more pedestrian than before.
Is it possible to have the guy add 10-15 pounds of muscle and man up during the offseason??
I hear alot about Brandon Marshall, the guy was benched for not making it to a meeting and he has several off the field issues to go with that. Is that really what we need here?
Posted by: tar | January 04, 2010 at 10:37 PM
MARK, I KNOW YOU TOLD US SHE'S FROM GREECE SO MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS MORE THAN LAMB KABOB AND GREEK SALAD ,THIS IS NOT COOKING .LET HER LEARN SLOW COOKING,STEWS,CARROT CAKES,HOW TO COOK ON THE GRILL THE RIGHT WAY .SO YOUR MARRIAGE WOULD LAST FOR EVER OTHER WISE SHE BE SHOPPING IN QVC ALL DAY .
