Compensatory pick: Dolphins add 7th rounder

The NFL has just announced it has awarded 32 compensatory draft choices to 19 clubs and the Dolphins get one of those picks.

Don't get all fired excited.

In losing Andre' Goodman and Renaldo Hill while adding Jake Grove and Joe Berger in free agency, the Dolphins get a seventh-round pick for the loss. Miami's pick is the 45 pick of the seventh round and 252 overall.

Even though the Dolphins did not suffer a net loss of compensatory free agents, the free agents lost were deemed to rank higher than the ones signed.

The Dolphins now have 10 overall selections in the coming April draft.

The New England Patriots were the biggest gainers, getting four compensatory picks for their losses of a year ago. The Pats got a sixth round pick (205 overall) and three seventh-rounders (247, 248 and 250 overall).

Last offseason the Patriots lost Heath Evans, Jabar Gaffney, Larry Izzo, LaMont Jordan and Lonie Paxton to free agency. They added Brandon McGowan.

Neither the Jets nor the Bills were awarded a compensatory pick.

Aloco I don't know where NJ is. I am sure that he is celebrating the passage of the healthcare bill. LOL

LET'S GO BACK TO TALK FOOTBALL .

TED GINN ,LS HE A BAD BOY ODIN ?

Posted by: ALoco | March 22, 2010 at 10:27 PM

He's to much of a mama's boy.

If the Trifecta keeps Ginn it should be mandatory that he hangs out with Brandon Marshall and Pac Man all through training camp.

If they can't make a BAD BOY out of him nobody can.

EASY ODIN, TEACH HIM TO HIT WOMEN AND LET HIM HAVE A GUN FOR A WEEK .

No they should tape Ginn to the goal post in training camp and haze is arse like a rookie and have Henne Drill passes at him from 10 yds out. He might get it then!

Odinseye, I cannot see Ginn as a bad boy. It is not in him.

Standley I still think Ginn would slither out of the tape and head for the sidelines.

show of hands how many of you would like to see ginn gone and playing for patriots or Jests?

OK,IS PAT WHITE A BAD BOY ODIN ?

Aloco your movie is on now. Enter the Dragon. Go and see it, you might learn something.

IT'S ON AMC,THANKS DEVIL ,GOOD NIGT .

Ginn was hanging with Porter during the famous street race vs. C.J. That never happen. If JP can't toughin up this kid no one can

BRUCE LEE LOOKS GOOD IN A SUIT .

Aloco, I like the part in the movie where he tells a guy, that his style is the art of fighting with no fighting.

Pat White?

I say put white and Henne in the cage. If White survives, he might have an outside chance at becoming a Bad Boy.

Seriously White has a disease, It's Called Ginn-nitus or in laymens terms: RUNNING SCARED!!!!

Here`s a fun question since this blog is about compensary and late round picks. Would you as the GM of the Dolphins trade all 6 of the sixth and seventh round picks for a second round pick in this years draft?

ODIN, WE ARE WATCHING ENTER THE DRAGON BUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYNG IS WE DON'T HAVE BAD BOYS IN WHITE EITHER ,WHAT ABOUT SEAN SMITH ?

Pat White is many things, but scared is not one of them. He ran smack dab into the middle of the D a few times, and never ran out of bounds. The hit on the sidelines against PIT his legs got clipped a little and he got laid out. Easily one of the most vicious hits of the year. He showed toughness a good bit last year.

That's the ticket. Lets send Ginn out to Arizona so he can hang with Joey.

SEAN SMITH ??????????

aloco don't know about Sean Smith.

draft a RB and get rid of that drunk low life brown!

ACE, WHAT DOES A BAD BOY MEANS TO YOU ?

Judas Priest...Brown has one slip up and he is now a low life drunk! WTF

BROWN IS YOUR DADDY EL GURU .

Aloco he comes the part of "art of no fighting"

Jeremy , you can't trade compensatory picks

I LOVE THIS PART OF THE MOVIE,THANKS ACE .

Aloco it is funny, the art of fighting w/o fighting. Maybe NJ can study this style too. LOL

NJ why you posting stupid stuff?

Bootang25

I agree with you on White.

I have been making fun of him because he looks like a scared little kid when he lines up in the shotgun.

White's obviously talented with a lot of heart.

I just had an orgy with Mcclain and Ingonito.Slurp!

NJ,........WhatzzuuPP?

Sean Smith?

Oh yeah! He's a Bad Boy just waiting to happen.
He'll soon be the most sticky fingered thief in the NFL.

U can bet own dat!

Odinseye that is not the real NJ. It is some pizz ant posing as him in blue....go figure.

Hey guys new blog up!

Dolphins have several holes to fill ... although we can draft "bodies" for each of these holes, it is almost impossible to find "great" prospects for each of our needs. With that said ... here is my proposal for the draft:

1. trade 1-12 (plus Thigpen) to Washington for 1-4 and draft ERIC BERRY,F.S. (compared to Ed Reed)
2. BEST,RB (we can build a franchise around him).
3. CAM THOMAS,NT UNC
4. J.GRAHAM,TE the U
6 (3 picks) SCHOEFIELD,OLB wisc, BARNES,WR bowling green, KAFKA,QB nw
7 (3 picks) BPA regardless of position

Why draft another QB? LOLz

Justin typing in Caps online is screaming and not polite. It doesn't make you credible, it makes you a lout.
