When Ryan Clark landed in South Florida it seemed as if the Dolphins had identified their future starting free safety and all that needed to happen was a little solid negotiatin' and the deal would be done.
Well, the deal isn't done.
And the deal isn't getting done, not in Miami anyway.
Clark is re-signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a source tells me. His visit with the Dolphins, cordial, was productive, but not enough. Clark told the Dolphins he wanted to remain with Pittsburgh.
[Update 7:12 p.m.: Various media outlets are now reporting Clark agreed to a four-year deal with the Steelers.]
So what do the Dolphins miss out on? Check it out.

NJ
I compared you to Kiper and you compared me to Abbott (or am I Costello) anyway I hope you take the Kiper part as a compliment. Rob was McShay.

And Just, this is a football blog, if I wanted to talk baseball I'd ask you who's on first??

Bootang,
LOL about NJ and I. He is a bright guy with a lot of strong views. I only argue, ahem, debate if I think I have a valid point. I try to take in what most say to at least weigh it's validity.
I can change my mind sometimes based off new info or strong evidence.
Cheers bud,

I think that this is the idea I like best for the draft. We should start listing our top prospects for the Trifecta, then do the same thing for if Wannstedt/Spielman were still in charge, and then Cameron/Mueller.

Just Because,
I thank you for your points on the cutting of Wilson question I posed. I sure hope the situation is improved. I know many cavalierly throw around that it could not be any worse but, I know that it could.
No doubt about it Wilson gave up a lot of big plays and seemed to forget how to tackle in some cases. Bad angles etc. The Def in general was not up to the task and our safeties had to be in on too many tackles anyways.
Let's hope alls well that ends well...with better team defense ...period!
Cheers,

Ryan Clark looks like a loser to me, so Miami does not want him or need him! Besides, he probably has a thing for the Pittsburgh Steelers Quarterback?
Posted by: Victor Barney | March 09, 2010 at 07:20 AM
Guys I am a first class LOSER! I troll blogs all day and night long!

Trade up to get Dez Bryant before Denver.
Hopefully everyone does not need a safety and we can hope to steal Taylor Mays in the 2nd round. Go Phins!!! Playoff bound 2010-11. Oh yeah....JUCK THE FETS!!! LOL

This team is going no where fast. Danm I wish I could be a fair weather fan and change teams at will, then the frustration would be OVER!!! But I can't, been with the team since "71" and still praying. We are slowly becoming the Lions.

Why don't the Fins throw the money at Otagwe(spelling) like they did at Rolle and Ryan??? It seems like a no brainer to me. He is better and younger!!

Hey don't worry about all the NEEDED players we missed signing. I hear Steve Ross is looking to sign Sinbad, Hulk Hogan, and Charlie Sheen as minority owners of the Dolphins so we are in good hands.
Hey Cuban Menace..hope you respond to this post!
