Last night was fun. Let's do it again!
The live blog starts in the comments section. We'll go through the Dolphins pick.
Please understand that I am not going to sit here throughout the evening. There are interviews to be done, phone calls to be made, and I have a column to write. So the smart-alecks that ripped me for not being around all night last night, I hope you now understand why.
The names to look for in the second round, in my opinion?
Koa Misi, the outside linebacker from Utah. Robert Johnson, the safety from Utah. Ricky Sapp, outside backer from Clemson, Reshad Jones out of Georgia and Morgan Burnett of of G-Tech.
Darkhorses? Toby Gerhart of Stanford. I keep hearing the Dolphins want a RB out of this draft although the round remains uncertain.

Mocks had Misi available in the 3rd round but scouting reports say he is freat in coverage.

test, what are you talking about?
Posted by: Zach | April 23, 2010 at 06:50 PM
I'm good with this guy, he seems like he'll be a solid and TRUE outside linebacker
Posted by: rickgezzy | April 23, 2010 at 06:50 PM
"Only possesses average coverage skills and has limited experience in this area. Is more comfortable playing in a crowd, lacks some agility in space and grasps for air on occasion. Can struggle containing shifty backs on the perimeter. Is an inconsistent reactor, especially when reading in coverage."
Posted by: Po White Trash | April 23, 2010 at 06:50 PM
6-3 250 mean streak
super quick off the edge

Pretty good pick I think.. Can fit in 3-4 or 4-3 DE or OLB he fills both spots if they need either more than the other
Posted by: Analnigs | April 23, 2010 at 06:50 PM
PLEASE!!! Tell me there's some info on him out here somewhere? ANYWHERE!!!
Posted by: DaveInJax | April 23, 2010 at 06:50 PM
That guy can play. Misi will be a help on specials too.
Posted by: Wayne Fontes | April 23, 2010 at 06:50 PM
Well i cant say im upset, but honestly Kindle better be unable to play next year or this is just retarded. The guy is definatly better than this. Unless they're really worried about him making the transition

clausen to bills?
Posted by: Zach | April 23, 2010 at 06:50 PM

Posted by: Craig M | April 23, 2010 at 06:51 PM
I wonder what Jason Taylor woulda said in a face to face meeting where Sparano tells him "JT, were replacing you with a Koa Misi." haha

Inismounts, apparently you know nothing about this kid....GREAT PICK
Posted by: bobbyd12 | April 23, 2010 at 06:51 PM
Troup for 3-4 bills defense.
Posted by: Calphin | April 23, 2010 at 06:51 PM
I would have prefered a trade down but I am glad the FO doesnt panick like you guys on a safety. at this rate we will have plenty of nose tackle options in the third to complete the front seven.
Posted by: sacfinfan | April 23, 2010 at 06:51 PM
wow, what on earth is wrong with clausen and kindle?
Posted by: Zach | April 23, 2010 at 06:51 PM

Wow no Clausen for bills... What a head scratcher...
Posted by: BlazzinAce | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
ok mando. I liked troup thinking we can get him in the 3rd round but buffalo just got him in the 2nd. What you think?
Posted by: caymanfinfan | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
I love the pick...whoever is saying why not Kindle is retarded...try doing some research of your own instead of taking the word of the Kipers of the world as gospel.
Posted by: originalfinfan83 | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
Does anyone else think the fins should trade up to get Mays???
Posted by: Analnigs | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
I'm no fan of kindle, but kindle is better. Washington is better. I could go on. Misi was so up and down this year u don't know who ur getting! And three sacks a year playing who Utah plays doesn't inspire confidence. So far this draft is a solid c minus and only isn't a d minus because we traded so well.
Posted by: Inimounts | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
Mando is the plan to play Koa Misi as an OLB?
Posted by: Tod | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
I heard kindle has a hair line in knee or something just hog reported yesterday
Posted by: Lazysol | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
remember this: the same people here who are hating on Odrick wanted Kindle picked at #12!!!!!
Posted by: The Seer | April 23, 2010 at 06:52 PM
Who's life will Al Davis ruin next
Posted by: Dantheman#13 | April 23, 2010 at 06:53 PM
Is it just me or does anyone else seen D Sharper as our Gibril replacement?
Posted by: nyfinfan | April 23, 2010 at 06:53 PM
Why is it that when the Dolphins pass on Kindle they're stupid, but when EVERY OTHER TEAM IN THE NFL passes on him, no one bats an eye?
Posted by: John | April 23, 2010 at 06:54 PM
All right fellas, what should fin do next round?
Posted by: Kevphins | April 23, 2010 at 06:54 PM
hey mando, r we interested in that reshard jones or morgan burnette?
Posted by: greg z. | April 23, 2010 at 06:54 PM
There's a few guys on here that have been touting Misi for awhile. There will be some happy campers on here. I think we got a great player and from what I can tell there are no health issues.
Safety with the next pick.
Posted by: Craig M | April 23, 2010 at 06:54 PM
Mando,
I here misi has a back problem, any more info on that?
Posted by: Zach | April 23, 2010 at 06:54 PM
PROTOTYPICAL players, big, strong, plays good in pads....other teams thought we were physical last year??? WAIT
Posted by: bobbyd12 | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
Wow, We traded Merling to the Pats for a 2nd round pick.
Posted by: Kula | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
OK...So with the first two picks the fins get Marshall, Odrick, Misi and a back up ILB who had as many tackles as Channing and can play special teams.
TUNA for President
Posted by: JPAO | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
Mays will be gone. After him there is no safety ready to start or make a difference right now in the NFL left. This draft is dare I say worse than last year. wow. I'm pissed. And after this year I don't want to hear ANY of u who like it saying that in 2011 we will build through the draft. BECAUSE THE DOLPHINS (AND PARCELLS) CAN NO LONGER DRAFT!
Posted by: Inimounts | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
I'm so upset with this pick. What a waste!
Posted by: FB | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
This guy will play the Sam position in our 3-4 system.
Posted by: NoCarlPeterson | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
mando...do you think O.J. Atogwe is our answer at safety until next year's draft?
Posted by: San Antonio Phin Fan | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
I agree 69 the steel dolphin will triumph
Posted by: FinFanEd | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM

Posted by: ALoco | April 23, 2010 at 06:55 PM
Dolphan69,
I hope you are right. It just seems like the safety need was a little more pressing.
