Live blog of Preseason 2 begins here at 7:30

We're blogging live from EverBank Field starting at 7:30 p.m.

Meet me in the comments section for that extravaganza.

Things to look for tonight:

Biggest issue -- The interior offensive line. It is time to settle on some guards, folks. I reported last week that Joe Berger has won the starting job at center. But LG Richie Incognito, RG John Jerry, Cory Procter, and Donald Thomas have been mixed and matched so much we really cannot say with certainty the starting combo for the season opener is set. Yes, Jerry is a favorite to win a job. Obviously Incognito is getting his chance as well. But tonight will go a long way in deciding whether they keep their advantage. One thing to know is the club is somewhat disappointed that Thomas has not improved sufficiently as he gets ready to start his third season. The former rookie sensation hasn't really progressed as much as they hoped.

Interesting Issue One -- Patrick Turner was impressive in last week's preseason opener. Can he be a factor two weeks in a row? If he can, I would tell you he will all but assure himself of a roster spot. I want to believe that Greg Camarillo is going to make this team based on his history, experience and dependability. But I want to see Turner and Marlon Moore push him.

Interesting Issue Two -- The kick return spot makes me wonder what's going on because, let's face it, the team doesn't really want Patrick Cobbs to win the job. The Dolphins want someone else to be their primary guy with Cobbs as an offset returner. So my eyes are on Nolan Carroll. It could be a big night for Carroll. He's from the Jacksonville area. He's fast, he's got a reputation for having good hands, and he's going to be on the team. Watch to see if he makes a case for winning the job tonight.

Late-game reason to watch: Nate Ness has opened the eyes of coaches and with Will Allen's status uncertain through the first week of the season, the team is hoping Ness follows a nice outing against Tampa Bay with a nice outing against the Jags. We shall see.

I'll update here with any pregame news. Right now, it is raining at the stadium. But at least there is no mud because, well, there is no baseball infield.

See you at the live blog.

Armando your a young guy you can stay up a little pass you bed time.

Armando, that's a long drive when you're a sleep.

Where is the Wild PATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT????????????

Wow, this game has gotten extremely boring!

Why would anyone want to see Pat White when we already have 3 QBs on the roster who are better? The guy was too small last year and is too small this year. Not to mention seeing him will tell us nothing because he would be playing against third stringers

Wow no Pat White he will def be cut....

once outside the pocket and that close to the sideline throw it away!!

pat white is going to the arena league

Our coverage sucks

Thigpen made a boo boo.
Sparano is made

where's our kneeling specialist, pat white ?

nail in the coffin, pat white. sorry.

del rio is a turd

Where is 2 Watt, asking for Thigpen to start over Henne?

i kinda feel bad for pat white. he seems like a good guy. wish we could use him somewhere. i think they should let him put the gloves back on and see how he does.

put gloves on Pat White and have him pick up the laundry, especially the stinky jocks.

who will run our option offense now?!

nice job miami. first team O looked good

on penningtons first pass i think he was trying to show chad henne to trust your receiver when you have a guy like brandon marshall...he just threw it up there for marshall to go get

Mark Sanchez was lucky to avoid two interceptions and failed to get the New York Jets in the end zone despite great field position. ahahhah

Go Phins!!!

Henne hasn't proven anything!

Pennington's old and injury prone.

What ever happened to the good old days when we had guys like Cleo Lemon and John Beck?

I heard Tony did not want to put PW in because the already have seen his ability to take a knee with both right and left, and they wanted to make sure Thiggy can. See you PW

odinseye, Yeah maybe we should sign Daunte or Trent just in case

I don't know what Pennington was thinking, but I betcha Henne watches that throw about a zillion times between now and next week :)

Pat White will be on the team this year ....

Thigpen was being showcased to the league ...

There will be a team suffer a QB injury before the season starts and they will be desperate ... enough so that the Fins should get a 4th or better ... where's Spielman????

only half way thru the preseason ... damn ...

The trifecta knows what PW can do .. and how much more time he needs ... and they are comfortable having the Chads as 1 and 2 ...

Micah Johnson was third in tackles and led all linebackers.

Dobbins had 2 tackles for losses.

Armando, Channing WHO?!?!

My bad.

Micah Johnson wad tied with 3 others that led the team intackles.

Randy Starks had Fins only sack, his conversion to NT is going fairly well.

So I'm in the sticks, just got done at the bar, someone please fill me in as to what happened. The NFL network won't even show the score!

Jacksonville had 19 carries for 54 yards. They avg. 2.8 yards a carry.
I like those numbers.

Henne went 11 of 144, no int's and two TD's to Fasano. One was a 55 yard catch and run.

Penny went 3 of 4 54 yards, not int's and pretty 10 yard TD to Ronnie Brown.

Thigpen went 8 of 13 no int's for 76 yards.

Pat White didn't even get to take a knee.

Way to go Fins. Pennington looking sharp connecting with B-Marsh for 38. Brandons first catches as a Dolphin, priceless. Anthony coming wide open twice because all the attention was on the Beast.. I have a feeling Marshalls numbers will be skewed down a bit this year, and everyone elses boosted up.. He has that effect.. All in all nice outing!

Thanks Odin, Sounds like we should still cut Henne. It's nice to see the tight ends getting involved. Maybe I have some crow to eat after my post from yesterday(said the TE's were lumbering, and not athletic enough for the modern pass attacks, Shows what I know) Efficient QB play. I can't even watch the game until Monday. Makes it hard to Squwak about anything. 2-0 Looking good.

Penny's 37 yarder to Marshall was a thing of beauty.

Henne looked like a seasoned vet. He completed passes to just about every reciever they sent on the field. This was after being sacked early on and us having the punt blocked for a safety. It didn't seem to phase him in the least.

Henne looked ready and loaded for Buffalo. I'm worried about Vontae getting beat so much, but I guess that's what preseason is for. Nice to see Brandon make a few catches.
