Live blog of Preseason 2 begins here at 7:30

We're blogging live from EverBank Field starting at 7:30 p.m.

Meet me in the comments section for that extravaganza.

Things to look for tonight:

Biggest issue -- The interior offensive line. It is time to settle on some guards, folks. I reported last week that Joe Berger has won the starting job at center. But LG Richie Incognito, RG John Jerry, Cory Procter, and Donald Thomas have been mixed and matched so much we really cannot say with certainty the starting combo for the season opener is set. Yes, Jerry is a favorite to win a job. Obviously Incognito is getting his chance as well. But tonight will go a long way in deciding whether they keep their advantage. One thing to know is the club is somewhat disappointed that Thomas has not improved sufficiently as he gets ready to start his third season. The former rookie sensation hasn't really progressed as much as they hoped.

Interesting Issue One -- Patrick Turner was impressive in last week's preseason opener. Can he be a factor two weeks in a row? If he can, I would tell you he will all but assure himself of a roster spot. I want to believe that Greg Camarillo is going to make this team based on his history, experience and dependability. But I want to see Turner and Marlon Moore push him.

Interesting Issue Two -- The kick return spot makes me wonder what's going on because, let's face it, the team doesn't really want Patrick Cobbs to win the job. The Dolphins want someone else to be their primary guy with Cobbs as an offset returner. So my eyes are on Nolan Carroll. It could be a big night for Carroll. He's from the Jacksonville area. He's fast, he's got a reputation for having good hands, and he's going to be on the team. Watch to see if he makes a case for winning the job tonight.

Late-game reason to watch: Nate Ness has opened the eyes of coaches and with Will Allen's status uncertain through the first week of the season, the team is hoping Ness follows a nice outing against Tampa Bay with a nice outing against the Jags. We shall see.

I'll update here with any pregame news. Right now, it is raining at the stadium. But at least there is no mud because, well, there is no baseball infield.

See you at the live blog.

Mando, Is there a internet link for us to listen to that are in the Great city of NY ????

Dear Mr. Salguero

Can you ask the other posters to keep it quiet till kickoff....the race just started...god bless Jeff Gordon

Soiled :)

I also like Troy's show

Alright Mark! Thanks, bud.

hey armando,

is pennington even going to see action tonight, i mean we know what he can do throwing wise but is it the phins intention to just let him sit on the sidelines and become the new QB's coach???

mando i listen but only when your talking phins and heat! the marlins are killing me

They are now saying kickoff won't happen until 8:45.

BTW, great segment with Jimbo Fisher. Not a big FSU fan but hearing that fight song got me revved up for the upcoming season and I think Zac Ponder will be an excellent pro QB

i liked troy until he was hyping boston over the HEAT

Anyone happen to know if at Dallas, Tony (while running the O-Line) also had a bunch of O-Line guys injured all the time?

how much does pat white suck on a scale of 1-10, 1 being super stud and 10 being water boys be-otch ?

And Carlito makes 3 listeners for me. Thanks man, you should call in and we'll chat.

Talking about Dan Henning, I don't think you talk or write about the man that much Armando. You think he is the man for this job OR does he rely to much on trickery and gimmicks to try to win? You like his offensiveplaycalling? What is your opinion?

Wonderful,, More delays!!! Will this game be played before midnight eastern, i would like to be drunk before then for the screaming later!!!

Pennington not scheduled to play tonight.

link to watch game

You've answered a couple of my texts on the show... I like to send things in that get Larry mad... he sounds like he's gonna pop a blood vessel or something

Bobby, as you know the Dolphins have been one dimensional the past two years so Henning had to make chicken salad out of chicken (bleep).

yes, he gets a little too cute at times. But I'm interested to see what he does with a legit No. 1 WR this year.

Re. Henning... I'm ok with him. I thinks he's solid. Let's face facts... If Henne's the real deal we'll be ok... He has a lot of pressure on him this year.

Overall... MIA = 1-3 players away from where we want to be.

welcome men delay hope not a repeat

Yeah, Carlito, I love to get his blood boiling. It's easy to do. But he is wonderful people.

henning can't be calling useless trick play garbage this year. also can't be calling too many dinks and dunks

wet weather can be an invitation to hamstring injuries. Lets hope not in our case.
Armando, did the Fins not consider putting Grice-Mullen on the practice squad. or was he just not as advertised?

And now kickoff will come at 9 p.m.

mando 8:30 or 8:45?

WOW... that link you posted... I may actually get to watch the game.

An old (45) man like me didn't know about this site.

How good is this?

1 Hour Of Delay!!!! Its Really Hard For European Fins Fans. Its Already 2 Am In Paris. Mando, Thanks For Your Great Job. Go Dolphins!!!! Go Henne!!!!

Kickoff now at 9:00 WTF?

if henning calls another *expletive* wildcat play at the goalline that calls for marshall to throw out of this thing, he better hope i never meet up with him in the old coots home otherwise him and me are gonna have a good 'ol cane spoutin.

its a shame ppl direct their anger at the wrong ppl! the last time i checked pat white didnt draft himself in the second round!!! the kid has made drastic changes in his comfort zone to try and please nfl coaches from throwing motion, to no gloves, etc. when will they learn that some times these old nfl heads need to adjust to the game that they are being presented from pop-warner to college! the I-formation is really dead except in the nfl, not all QB are good staying in the pocket some need to free lance or have bad throwing motion but effective, WR that dont run crisp route but get open anyway!!! let these kids play change to what the do good instead of trying to change them to be the way you think they should be

dolphininparis, brother, you're in PARIS!

C'est la vie, brother!

Stay up. Have a glass of red wine and cheese. Hang with us!

Kickoff now at 9:00 WTF?

this is the prelude to cancellation---another reason to play during the day

What up harricane? Been a while since I seen you on here.

You good?

we had major lightning down here for a while in the afternoon

must be the same storm system up north

MANDO is have a glass of wine and a piece of cheese like eating a meal? i understand the wine part but the cheese is over my head! and i like cheese

hey mando, been busy but read everyday my brother

and yes good too & U have been doing a great job this PS

Glad to hear it harricane.

Dolphins4life, you don't get the wine and cheese in paris thing? It's a thing in France. That's the best I can explain it.

Pat Turner uses his body and catches, again
in the rain
using his body and ...

***** The Dynasty Be Fins! *****

in the mean time watching Stellers and Giants on NFL Network. Rothliesberger looked ok. Steller defense looks a bit suspect. 3rd string quarter back doing well against them.

I wonder if they cancelled this game, would they have to make this up, or would this game be thrown out the window

its difficult to wait lol

Kick off at 9pm...come on. this sucks.

Weather might keep the palmetto bugs away. Do they have those things up N Fla?
I (not so) fondly remember those things at the long lamented LeJeune Rd Drive in. That, and the blue smoke/ddt spraying from a jeep.
Yeah, I'm old!

so where else should I be? Right?

players i wanna see tonite are wake.misi, odrick, carroll, ness, micah, turner, wallace and moore

DolphinsforLife1973, I don't see a lot of anger at Pat White. To me, at least, it is obvious the kid will never be a serviceable NFL QB. The Trifecta made a mistake, I think most of us just wanna see them make the cut, admit the mistake and move on. To keep him on the roster again and have to make a bubble cut seems like an incredible mistake. Ginn gone, Gibril gone, they have cut their mistakes this year so unless he becomes something amazing overnight it's time to say goodbye

I just hope they play...

Well at least the crowd wont be a factor.... LOL...

i hope pat turner can make the team tonight

this is like have money to buy your recreation of choice, only to be told WE OUT!!!!

Wait a game from Bangkok, Thailand Mando!
Last time when dolphins play with Broncos in 2008. Remembered? Marshall never catch a pass and some angry with Crowder and co.. This is something haunt him and he still can't catch a pass with us?

and mr nolan c

In England where i am,thats kickoff @ 02:00 in the morning.

Why cant Florida have any decent weather like we have here lol

Jets intercepted moore of Carolina

funny mark

Has the game started yet?

peace between armando and carlito ..... life is good .

Wow, just brought up the Radar for the Jacksonville area. Looks like a nasty little storm. I'll be needing to make some coffee to stay up for this game.

Sanchez almost intercepted
