ORCHARD PARK -- The Dolphins took their first lead of the season on their first possession of the season today against the Bills.
After playing stifling defense the first series (and every series afterward, really), the Miami offense marched 37 yards en route to 32-yard field goal by Dan Carpenter. That is the only score so far.
Miami's other possessions have been stalled by a reverse call and a failed wildcat try. But the defense has been excellent.
Karlos Dansby, blitzing from the outside, has one sack already.

I quite like TorturedDolphan. At least he is consistent. And he makes everyone else feel good about themselves...

Posted by: d-dense | September 12, 2010 at 02:18 PM
I don't care what anyone says, the Dolphins should have been leading by 21 points...mark my words, the fix is in with the officials....so far no calls on the Bills for all of their late hits or obvious holds.
Posted by: T.S. | September 12, 2010 at 02:18 PM
And the air goes outta Bills stadium!!!
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 12, 2010 at 02:18 PM
How can such total domination = 10 to 3?
Posted by: mntmanfinfan | September 12, 2010 at 02:18 PM
should have had smith back to return that field goal attempt
Posted by: mike d | September 12, 2010 at 02:18 PM
Why did we call a time out with 21 seconds left? Why not let the clock run down?

Posted by: David | September 12, 2010 at 02:19 PM
seems like we always one way or another keep the other team in it. we need that killer instinct. we need to put teams away.
Posted by: dave | September 12, 2010 at 02:19 PM
ohfinfan13
thats tony morono for you, doesn't know how to head coach
Posted by: test | September 12, 2010 at 02:20 PM
Again, bad clock management on the part of little Tony.
Posted by: T.S. | September 12, 2010 at 02:20 PM
we get the ball back to start the second... so, should still have the chance to go ahead by multiple scores..
Guys, we are looking good.. we havent given up any huge plays, we almost clicked on a nice long ball...
We played much better than what we were showing in the preseason... just as many had suggested.
And anyone that says "who cares, it is against buffalo" has to admit that division games are ALWAYS tricky, no matter the team record. The Jets, Pats and Bills are always big games to worry about no matter the standings...
Posted by: LipsinToronto | September 12, 2010 at 02:20 PM
AT least we get the ball first at half
Posted by: mntmanfinfan | September 12, 2010 at 02:20 PM
Henne's been mediocre so far.
Posted by: Eric | September 12, 2010 at 02:20 PM
Maybe Miami just doesn't want to show too much to the Vikings next week?
Ahhh, CRAP, no, they just play down to every team they play!
Posted by: zaphod | September 12, 2010 at 02:21 PM
Henne still hesitant, Sparano needs to make some adjustments in the O, the D needs to save the O!
Posted by: redsky | September 12, 2010 at 02:21 PM
I'm here cause I think it's funny being a Jets troll
Plus I'm a total AS@hole in life
Posted by: test | September 12, 2010 at 02:21 PM
an oline coach masquerading as a head coach...
an OC who needs to retire
defense + nolan look good
Posted by: test | September 12, 2010 at 02:21 PM
TRUE T.S.
That was bad clock management...almost bit us in the but
Posted by: kris | September 12, 2010 at 02:21 PM
Talk about being blind....who here can't see all of those holds and late hits...not being called.
Posted by: T.S. | September 12, 2010 at 02:21 PM
Lets scrap the team because we're only ahead 10-3. Non fans please address all concerns to yousuck.org!!!

Test,
apperciate the honesty
Posted by: kris | September 12, 2010 at 02:22 PM
Well, the d is playing very well, we have the lead, most of the mistakes are correctable...btw how many times do you get to make the same mistake and keep calling it correctable??
Posted by: mntmanfinfan | September 12, 2010 at 02:23 PM
do we bring the starter into the 3 quater ?? or save them for Minesota ?
Posted by: hudowl | September 12, 2010 at 02:23 PM
we are Stallions tied to the lvl of play of our apponents
Posted by: SoiledBottom | September 12, 2010 at 02:23 PM
Very impressed overall, defense looks solid, ST solid, Henne accurate Marshall and Fasano beastly!!! Timing still a litle off but its coming
Posted by: bobbyd12 | September 12, 2010 at 02:23 PM
It isn't like the Bills are a powerhouse on defense....Henne, making short and off his timing throws....hesitant and causes our receivers to come back or twist to make the catch...
Posted by: T.S. | September 12, 2010 at 02:24 PM
NE 24-0 thats killer instinct

Posted by: kris | September 12, 2010 at 02:25 PM
Hennings play calling SUCKS.
We get in the make it break it situation and he wusses out everytime.
Grow some you wuss bag.
Marshall, Marshall, marshall!
Posted by: odinseye | September 12, 2010 at 02:25 PM
Henne 128 yds. 15-18 2 drops. Just terrible!
Posted by: socalfan | September 12, 2010 at 02:26 PM
I am happy that Miami is in the lead but if this were the Jets, or Pats we would all be depressed right about now.
Posted by: T.S. | September 12, 2010 at 02:26 PM
Dave it could just be poor offense and defense by the Bengals, lol!

Posted by: OhFinFan13 | September 12, 2010 at 02:27 PM
Ya, am happy too bobbyd12 - some of these guys expect to win the Superbowl today..
I just want to get the win this one with some nice plays, solid defense and few "minus" plays.
Posted by: LipsinToronto | September 12, 2010 at 02:27 PM
I agree @socalfan Henne's 91.8 passer rating is just terriiibbblle.
Posted by: Uhusofree | September 12, 2010 at 02:30 PM
T.S uhh we swept the Jests and split with the Patsies past two years and we have a better team. Please, put down the drugs and learn some football

Posted by: redsky | September 12, 2010 at 02:34 PM
What's this another Marshall drop? Yep.
Here come the Bills. Here comes fish fan misery.
Posted by: TorturedDolphan | September 12, 2010 at 02:37 PM
Henne is such a disappointment. With all due respect to Jake Long, we should've taken Matt Ryan. The best Henne can accomplish in his career is an average (probably not much better than Pennington). I don't know, I just don't have much confident in this Henne.
By the way, Brandon Marshal looks realy good.
