Third quarter starts with Dolphins leading Vikes, 7-0

MINNEAPOLIS -- It started out fast, with the Dolphins scoring on their first offensive possession.

Things settled down afterward, with the teams about ready to start the third quarter and Miami still holding a 7-0 lead.

Chad Henne has thrown only five passes and completed three of them for 70 yards. That includes the 46-yarder to Brandon Marshall.

The Dolphins are getting timely play from the defense. Vontae Davis got an interception at the Miami 1 yard line to thwart a Minnesota drive.

Minnesota WR Percy Harvin tweaked his hip again during the second quarter. He is questionable to return.

Why do you guys think we have to pass at this stage of the game? We've ran the ball all day successfully. Why go away from that now? It's what will chew the clock.

There should be ~30 fewer seconds on the clock. It should have continued running after Favre was sacked, but didn't. The refs should have rolled the clock and, frankly, the Dolphin coaching staff should have caught that it wasn't winding and pointed it out. Let's hope that doesn't come back to haunt the Dolphins.

Ronnie Brown is 23 for 139 so far this season with no fumbles.

Ricky Williams is 28 for 92 with a fumble.

So it's easy to see why Ricky is getting the carries in crunch time.
