CINCINNATI -- The Bengals have gotten two touchdowns from Terrell Owens. They are using the no-huddle to keep Miami's defense off balance. And they have a sliver of a running game.
The Dolphins have Dan freaking Carpenter.
Carpenter has four field goals today, including a 54-yarder as the first half expired. That 54-yarder was the longest of Carpenter's career. And so the Bengals carry a 14-12 lead over Carpenter to start the third quarter.
The live blog rolls on.

Henne is not starting caliber material. Def a backup QB in the NFL.

CARPENTER MAKES 340,000 A YEAR
HENNE MAKES 600,000
MARSHALL IS BEAUTIFUL

if TD's were only 3 points we would be undefeated.
Posted by: mike d | October 31, 2010 at 02:34 PM
Been posting to ev1 its going to be like this all season long. No explosion in the offense and Marshall is the $47million decoy in the redzone.
Posted by: DyingBreed | October 31, 2010 at 02:34 PM
Anyone know Henne's Wunderlic score?
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 31, 2010 at 02:34 PM
Thank God for Carpenter-who let Randy Shannon on the field to call that time out-when Carson was trying to call one-reminds me when Randy called a time out when their was a measurement-automatic time out in such an instance.
What continues to take Henne so long to get the ball out-let's please cut the 2 foot and 12 foot receivers only Henne can see!
Posted by: David | October 31, 2010 at 02:35 PM
Cincy i think will score 2 Tds this half...
so 28 for the bengals, would means fist pump would need 6 second half field goals to win...
is this doable?
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 02:35 PM
listen even a loser like me can see its not Henne its the coaching and restrictions they put on him.
MAKES ME HAPPY THOUGH so i can still say my manchez is better!
Posted by: TorturedDolphan | October 31, 2010 at 02:35 PM
Henne is a hellova backup QB. I challenge anyone to deny it.
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 31, 2010 at 02:35 PM
need a live feed pleasseee
Posted by: Shetdefeckup | October 31, 2010 at 02:35 PM
So why did we trade + pay 50 million for a receiver to catch and get only ONE Look in 30 minutes of football?
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 02:35 PM
Great headline for the 3rd quarter post, Mando.
Like all of the best humor, it's funny because it's true.
Posted by: The New Kid | October 31, 2010 at 02:36 PM
Angry Elf...half our team and our coaching staff is backups and assistant level material...
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 02:36 PM
FG?
Posted by: Po White Trash | October 31, 2010 at 02:36 PM
Amazing how St. Louis lets Sam Bradford play, and he's pretty well with less talent. I don't see why Marshall can't get at least one look every posession?
Posted by: Jay-Mo | October 31, 2010 at 02:36 PM
Maybe if Carpenter got injured it would be a blessing in the disguise. Dont care if he makes all-pro for most points scored by a kicker because it means our offense really sucks.
Posted by: DyingBreed | October 31, 2010 at 02:37 PM
Mando,
I dont have a feed.. Is Marshall even open at all??
Posted by: TorturedDolphan | October 31, 2010 at 02:37 PM
Go to Marshall + Williams + quit throwing where our WR's have to run out of bounds to catch your slowest passes in the NFL +please don't put Carpenter on injured reserve by kicking 10 more FG's!
Posted by: David | October 31, 2010 at 02:37 PM
love the title for this quarter
Posted by: bbacni101 | October 31, 2010 at 02:37 PM
dan marinos score was 16
Posted by: dave | October 31, 2010 at 02:37 PM
If Fasano drops more pass this second half, he needs to be cut! I'm sick of it ...
Posted by: Jay-Mo | October 31, 2010 at 02:37 PM
Im tellin you, we just got even more cursed at scoring TDS in redzone when we got a very reliable kicker, sparano and henning will never change that philosiphy now that our MVP at scoring pts is the kicking game....
Posted by: superPHIN | October 31, 2010 at 02:38 PM
This really is almost laughable.. We have one of the best WR's in the league and don't even attempt to throw to him...
We literally CAN NOT score TD's, and our offensive coordinator still thinks a draw play will gain 80 yds

I like the headline too ... this is CARPENTER'S TEAM!!!!!!
Posted by: zaphod | October 31, 2010 at 02:39 PM
The coaching on offense is horrible. We turned Henne into a conservative puppet and I don't think our offense wants to play with him.
Posted by: MJ | October 31, 2010 at 02:39 PM
Dam my JESTS are still losing 3-0 and havent even seen that lazy ass JT...CRAP

Wonder if Carpenter can call plays?
Posted by: AZ Fin Fan | October 31, 2010 at 02:40 PM
3 and out to begin second half is usually the norm!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | October 31, 2010 at 02:41 PM
lol @ mike d
Posted by: zaphod | October 31, 2010 at 02:42 PM
Guys, I'm not quite sure what all the criticism is about. Did we play a perfect half? Far from it! But we're within two points of Cinci. Bad break on the bobble by Clemons that results in a TD for Owens. But really Cinci hasn't impressed me at all. We're in this game! We obviously have to do better on offence but this game is winnable!
Posted by: Craig M | October 31, 2010 at 02:42 PM
mike d, they are showing hours of the munsters...
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 02:42 PM

Help-we have the ball no what-Marshall?
Posted by: David | October 31, 2010 at 02:42 PM
need about 40 yards to get into fist pump range.
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 02:42 PM
Aron rodgers could be the qb for this team right now and it wouldn't be that much better. Terrible play calling, no running game, no TE, no speedster on offense. Face it, this offense needs a lot.
Posted by: Jon | October 31, 2010 at 02:42 PM
hey coach!!!
WE DON'T NEED A PROBALL KICKER,we need a decent qb .it's so obvious you have no faith in henne
thanks another 8 and 8 year

a hold a run a run and then a drop
Posted by: Po White Trash | October 31, 2010 at 02:43 PM
well, okay four plays + a holding call!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | October 31, 2010 at 02:43 PM
Predictable ... with that amount of time, it's always holding.
Posted by: zaphod | October 31, 2010 at 02:43 PM
after 3 years of rebuilding you would think alot of holes would be filled on all 3 teams...
but 3 years later, we have so many holes...
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 02:43 PM
Look at that deep pass to marshall.....WOW!!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | October 31, 2010 at 02:43 PM
hope you got my response on the last blog test-icleless
Posted by: CJ | October 31, 2010 at 02:43 PM
We are about due for 1 td per game though. So we most likely will score 10 points this half.
Posted by: DyingBreed | October 31, 2010 at 02:44 PM
We need twenty ... let's throw a pass for three!
Posted by: zaphod | October 31, 2010 at 02:44 PM
I think we are out of Carpenter's range. Will need at least 1 1st down,
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 31, 2010 at 02:44 PM
Wow who is this marshall guy? They should get him the ball more.
Posted by: mike d | October 31, 2010 at 02:44 PM
wow...
fasano another bleeping drop.
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 02:45 PM
OMG! NICE DROP!

Bench #80
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 31, 2010 at 02:45 PM
Anthony Fasano drops his second pass of the day.
Good enough to tantilize. Bad enough to kill a coach's career.
