CINCINNATI -- The Bengals used the no-huddle attack to do heavy damage against Balitmore last week. The Dolphins must have seen it on tape ... but didn't necessarily come with an answer for it.
The Bengals used the tactic to score on their first possesion -- one that saw Miami defensive backs overmatched by the Benglas WRs. The Dolphins answered with, what else, a field goal.
The second quarter begins now. And the live blog continues in the comments section.

when your OL pass blocks best, run the ball. when you need 15 yds run the cat

Posted by: BFC | October 31, 2010 at 01:52 PM
ok we need a turnover. it takes us 3 drives to overcome a touchdown.
Posted by: dave | October 31, 2010 at 01:52 PM
why the hell do we run the wild cat against a d with such a poor secondary?
Will we ever throw the ball over the top?
Posted by: fin fan buck | October 31, 2010 at 01:52 PM
we need TURN OVERS
WE NEED TDs
Posted by: Mike W | October 31, 2010 at 01:52 PM
That was another drive short-circuited by a simply non-sensical appearance of the Wildcat. It was a wasted down in a game where you can't waste a down.

Mando-can we draft a offensive coordinator, and special teams coach?
Posted by: David | October 31, 2010 at 01:52 PM
Why don't our receivers ever seem to be able to get open when it counts
Posted by: phins39 | October 31, 2010 at 01:52 PM
I could not have said it better, New Kid. Perfectly put.
Take over ...
Posted by: Armando Salguero | October 31, 2010 at 01:53 PM
I am so sick of killing the clock, holding on to the ball just to settle for FG. This dates back to last season, see the Saints, Colts, etc...
Sparanomoron needs to go!

Posted by: superPHIN | October 31, 2010 at 01:54 PM

Posted by: nyfinfan | October 31, 2010 at 01:54 PM
Mando on the last series Sparano was covering his mouth looking like he was calling plays or maybe saying run or pass?
Posted by: mike d | October 31, 2010 at 01:54 PM
the only thing I hate more than poor refs is all these commercials! Growing up I remember when there was not a commercial break every 2 min.

Where are Wake and the pash rush?
Posted by: KBrad | October 31, 2010 at 01:55 PM
Why don't they throw it up there and let Marshall fight for them. Even when covered, he often brings them down. That is what he does. Most NFL receivers can catch when wide open.. but not many are worth $50MM. When will we use that resource!?
Posted by: LipsinToronto | October 31, 2010 at 01:55 PM
sean smith cant catch for shiit
Posted by: acwalsh8 | October 31, 2010 at 01:55 PM
We aren't getting any pressure on Palmer at all. Even when we blitz.
Posted by: AZ Fin Fan | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM
a tipped ball prevents that pas int call
thank god
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM
I want to give my vote for Dan Carpenter for the cover of the next John Madden football game.
Posted by: Flumby | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM
OMG...SEAN SMITH made a play!?!
Posted by: Marc | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM
Carson Palmer just threw to 85 who was doubled but not 81 who had single coverage versus Smith.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM
is that not offensive pass interference???????????????? wtf
Posted by: acwalsh8 | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM

tony morono will go for the FG!
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM

Posted by: KS | October 31, 2010 at 01:56 PM
This play calling is HORRENDOUS.I don't even want to watch this. This is harder to stomach than the 1-15 year because we knew we sucked.
FIRE HENNING!
Posted by: Ron In Charlotte | October 31, 2010 at 01:57 PM
Wow another case of Miami not getting any fanned calls. What the hello was the ref looking at?
Posted by: Chase | October 31, 2010 at 01:57 PM
We have the slowest returners in the NFL-let Hartline try it
Posted by: David | October 31, 2010 at 01:57 PM
Ok all you Sean Smith haters....you have to admit that was a great play!! Where is the pass rush today? it's been non-existent so far.
Posted by: Craig M | October 31, 2010 at 01:57 PM
morono and henning are best friends...
either both go or no one goes...
Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 01:58 PM
Henne lines up under center to begin a drive that hopefully gets the Phins in field goal range.
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 31, 2010 at 01:58 PM
Nice job by the defense!
With another drive for a field goal here, we can take a lead!
Posted by: The New Kid | October 31, 2010 at 01:58 PM
I feel a 9-7 lead coming up.
Posted by: AZ Fin Fan | October 31, 2010 at 01:58 PM
at least the bengals arent afraid of taking their shots downfield, henning should learn something if at all possible!!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | October 31, 2010 at 01:58 PM
Sean Smith can't catch but atleast he doesn't let up on the big play
Posted by: Phin Fan 4 Lyfe | October 31, 2010 at 01:58 PM

Posted by: test | October 31, 2010 at 01:58 PM

Posted by: Zach | October 31, 2010 at 01:59 PM

Posted by: fin fan buck | October 31, 2010 at 01:59 PM
