I expected a high-scoring game, and we'd probably have one were it not for two untimely interceptions by Chad Henne.
After moving the ball very well on their first possession of the night, the Miami offense has been derailed by two picks, one of which made me almost jump out of my seat.
On that second-quarter interception, Henne threw a sideline route to Brian Hartline when Brandon Marshall was running wide open down the middle of the field. Rob Ninkovich intercepted the sideline pass instead.
The Patriots, meanwhile, have not managed to get in the end zone, but have gotten their kicking game untracked with two field goals.
So to the third quarter we go. Join me in the comments section.

Both INT's there was an open receiver...That's not something he's gonna fix right away...Hartline was open in the middle the first pick, Marshall in the second...Shame

Too many turnovers will be the story tomorrow and justifiably so. However, this will be the second straight week of no turnovers.

MIAMI NEED LOOK TO THE 15th QB SINCE MARINO AND...COUNTING..HENNE IS NOT THE FUTURE..SORRY CEASARS..!
Posted by: HENRY | October 04, 2010 at 10:00 PM
Mando-what is wrong with Henne-why can't he connect with Marshall?
Posted by: David | October 04, 2010 at 10:00 PM
Henne maybe pressing too hard for underneath coverages and the pats are playing on that thought this whole game, really hasnt been any strecthing of the field with a certian 19 addition in this one!!!Defense is now trying to step up again, but for how long, i mean does anybody really expect miamis D to hold down the pats offense the whole game????
Posted by: superPHIN | October 04, 2010 at 10:00 PM
Brandon Marshall and Randy Moss have combined for zero catches, zero yards.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | October 04, 2010 at 10:00 PM
... onside kick.
Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:01 PM
I'm gonna untrack the Dolphins if they lose this game!
Posted by: Kris | October 04, 2010 at 10:01 PM
I think our best bet is to try and slow the game down a little by running the ball more with R&R. Then we can kill them with PA later in the game.
We can't keeep turning the ball over and hope to win this game. We're giving Brady & Co. too many opportunities.
Posted by: Sully | October 04, 2010 at 10:01 PM
we gotta run the ball to win
Posted by: mr kahn | October 04, 2010 at 10:01 PM
IMO MARSHALL WASNT AS WIDE OPEN AS YOU GUYS THOUGHT ON THE HENNE PICK. iM SURE YOU GUYS WERENT WATCHING THE FS OVER THE TOP ON THAT PLAY. bUT OF COURSE THE RECIEVER LOOKS MORE WIDE OPEN AFTER THE OTHER DEFENDERS SEE THE BALL RELEASED FROM THE QB'S HAND GOING A TOTALLY DIFFERENT DIRECTION.
QUESTIONS IS WAS HE OPEN BEFORE THE BALL LEFT HENNES HAND? THAT THE CAMERA ANGLE DIDNT SHOW US.
Posted by: ChampionshipEra | October 04, 2010 at 10:02 PM
Yeah, what is this "untrack" stuff? Do you mean "on track"?
Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:02 PM
Armando, we are the only friggin team that can not put another team away when they want us to. Henning's play calling is terrible. He takes us backwards after we get momentum. I can't take it, when does this crap change. It feels like a curse, different names same results.
Posted by: poizen | October 04, 2010 at 10:02 PM
nice job by vonte. but why cant henne get the ball to marshall?
Posted by: dave | October 04, 2010 at 10:02 PM
I hate the word 'Untracked'. Old School, can't relate.
Posted by: rand_the_fin | October 04, 2010 at 10:03 PM
I do not know why this Dolphins offense does not call for henne to look to Marshall first then elsewhere.
I know we all want to blame Henne, but he is following his progressions much of the time.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | October 04, 2010 at 10:04 PM
We lose back to back games at home to two straight DIV oppenents and wild card for us will be a huge reach!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | October 04, 2010 at 10:04 PM
SUPERPHIN,
My thoughts exaxtly!
Posted by: Kris | October 04, 2010 at 10:04 PM
Not henne, but HENNING! Although Henne's 2 ints were terrible on their own.
Posted by: poizen | October 04, 2010 at 10:05 PM
DOESNT HELP THAT IT SHOWS hENNING HAS DONE NOTHING SPECIAL TO GAME PLAN MARSHALL INTO THE GAME.
THE PATS GAME PLANNED hERNANDEZ INTO THE GAME WITH ALL KINDS OF DIFFERENT PLAYS JUST TO GET THE BALL INTO HIS HANDS. HENNING IS TO NEANDERTHAL FOR THAT.
Posted by: ChampionshipEra | October 04, 2010 at 10:05 PM
poizen: you know what I think? I think we need to hire an offensive coordinator from the suckiest team in the NFL who relishes the idea of having a few weapons and a QB with an arm ... and wants to make a statement to all the teams that thrashed him through the years by completely humiliating them ... THAT'S WHAT WE NEED!!!!!!!
Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:06 PM
I will blame Henne, Mando. AND the defense for not being able to get turnovers. Bottom line.
Posted by: Dexter | October 04, 2010 at 10:06 PM
should be up more but we will be fine
henne will bounce back and we will win
defense is playing good
need marshall to make some plays
Posted by: mcduffie81 | October 04, 2010 at 10:07 PM
Armando: you still haven't answered the great "untracked" question!
Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:07 PM
I just dont get it, they did nothing the 1st two drives, we move the ball then bess screen looses 4. Wild cat goes nowhere... How are we the only team that cant finish?
Posted by: poizen | October 04, 2010 at 10:08 PM
ARMANDO,
MARSHALL IS BEING DOUBLED, THATS WHY BESS IS SO OPEN SO OFTEN. 6 CATCHES FOR 71YDS.
Posted by: ChampionshipEra | October 04, 2010 at 10:08 PM
We're done.
Posted by: rand_the_fin | October 04, 2010 at 10:08 PM
Game over
Posted by: Marc | October 04, 2010 at 10:08 PM

Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:08 PM
I hate this team.
Posted by: poizen | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
wtf
Posted by: d-dense | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
Unforgivable-worst coverage in the NFL-untouched
Posted by: David | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
and also why did we not fire our special teams coach last year, the year before? We have the worst coach there. No support on the outside. Bad setup
Posted by: finfan23 | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
Maybe that will force Miami to throw to Brandon Marshall
Posted by: Jay-Mo | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
UnfreakingBelievable ST's, only miami can do that
Posted by: superPHIN | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
ok im ready to start the second half.. oh crap wish the players were
Posted by: dave | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
So this means our special teams was "untracked"?
Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
disaster.
Posted by: poizen | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
Time to sit Henne. This game is getting away from us fast.
Posted by: ChampionshipEra | October 04, 2010 at 10:09 PM
Special Teams awful, we are third best in division.
Posted by: rand_the_fin | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
Wallace might get cut...
Posted by: Marc | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
i think he will be gone this year
Posted by: dave | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
I am at a loss for words.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
Okay ... so we return one here! LOL!!!!!
Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
I'm speechless.
Posted by: The Bat Dad | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
armando thos two INT's are on henne. Peid!'n
Posted by: d-dense | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
If we dont sit Henne now there will be more bad to come.
Posted by: ChampionshipEra | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
jesus why do we give up huge plays at such crucial times sometimes so annoying
defense has been holding so we give up a TD in 14 seconds
Posted by: mcduffie81 | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
50 was garbage too...Whoever that was
Posted by: Marc | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
Jason Allen wiffed on the tackle
Posted by: David | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
that is just terrible!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | October 04, 2010 at 10:10 PM
pitiful
Posted by: brett144 | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
mistakes are beating us. we are not good enough yet to overcome too many mistakes. we have to play almost perfectly to win against good teams.
Posted by: dave | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
BRING IN CHAD PENNINGTON NOWWWWW........
Posted by: ChampionshipEra | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
Please please cut carpenter tomorrow, this Guy is garbage. No more 1st round bust and retreads at that lb position. If they sucked in dallas, they'll probably suck horribly here too
Posted by: jon | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
why, haven't they thrown to BM. Wow, 1st opening play in the 2nd half....sucks, were the dolphins on the field?
Posted by: redsky | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
Armando: In his new role as 'consultant', did Parcells show up for the game tonight?
Posted by: rand_the_fin | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
i can not believe we keep this special teams coach. We can't stop anyone on returns any game ever. We can't get past the 20 on our returns. We had Ted Ginn and only against the Jets could we get him any blocking to get a return. It is obvious we need a two new coaches. How do we win if we don't have good coaches. It starts there.
Posted by: finfan23 | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
special teams are not our forte
Posted by: d-dense | October 04, 2010 at 10:11 PM
2 yards! Take THAT New England!!!!!!
Posted by: zaphod | October 04, 2010 at 10:12 PM
