The Dolphins had a terribled third quarter.
They did nothing on offense and the defense yielded a touchdown drive that took part of this decade.
Oh, and Brandon Marshall is out of the game. He's on the sideline in street clothes.
Miami needs three scores to win this one, assuming they don't give up any more points.
It looks bleak but ...
Well, let's see what happens. The live blog rolls on.

What is wrong with the defense?
they cannot get off the field and very little pressure.
Offense is in tatters, this is not really Thigpens fault. Droped balls and brandon marshall looks erratic.
We are in trouble....

There's a flag ... Miami illegally stinking up the field ... 15 yards!

Craig M....you sound FOOLISH...you really do.
You don't have to be a HENNE HATER to be a THIGGY SUPPORTER...Its not the cold war man....You can just SUPPORT YOUR TEAM...Sometimes 2 things can co-exist.....
If Henne was playing He would have MY FULL SUPPORT...Same as PENNE....
I BACK THE TEAM...NOT AN INDIVIDUAL....YOU SHOULD TRY IT
Posted by: Kris | November 18, 2010 at 10:55 PM
Wow henning must have knew the bears were going to look for the wild cat so instead he makes the third string qb throw 30 times...is this guy fin with us or what? Another season down the tubes

How can anyone say that Thigpen is bad when he hasn't had but 2 seconds to do anything the whole game? Henne had a healthy O-Line that was giving him 5 to 7 seconds and he still couldn't get it done.
I liked that Thigpen was coming in but I didn't know whether he'd be good enough to be the future. Everyone gave Henne two years and a bunch of you said we should let him develop when kids like Ryan, Flacco and McCoy just come in and start winning. Doesn't matter that Henne's stats are similar - he can't get it done when it counts and they can. Period.
I am not counting Thigpen out after one game where he's being run out of the pocket as soon as the ball hits his hands. You Henne supporters are hypocrites: You want to give Henne a decade to improve but not give Thigpen a single game.
Posted by: Jimmy Jam | November 18, 2010 at 10:56 PM
I will no longer support the team untill there are changes amongst coaching staff... i realize the line is suffering from injuries but the coaches changed the line from last season when it was one of the best and the OC's time in the NFL expired a long time ago..... Being From the 757 im going to support this years MVP MICHEAL VICK his offense scores....
Posted by: @Russell1286 | November 18, 2010 at 10:56 PM
Lets give the wildcat a chance, we need a spark and Thigpen just isn't getting it done right now.

Posted by: Kells | November 18, 2010 at 10:57 PM
I just hope Sparano dose not try to put another positive spin on a loss.
Posted by: Ripp | November 18, 2010 at 10:57 PM
Fist Pump. Ball Boy. Dinsosaur. All must be fired ASAP. Tuna quit on you, and us, Ross...so EFF his incompetent "team"
Posted by: The Seer | November 18, 2010 at 10:57 PM
The Bears have been running out the clock since the 4th quarter, thats how bad we are
Posted by: Earl | November 18, 2010 at 10:57 PM
Kris,
I'm just talking about what I'm seeing. YOu can't win with this guy. He's never won anywhere hes been. He might have energy but he's got ZERO spark. He's look better in the CFL.
Posted by: Craig M | November 18, 2010 at 10:57 PM
no one can blame thigpen for this
Posted by: redsky | November 18, 2010 at 10:57 PM
I think it will be a great crime if this head coach is still working for the Dolphins at the end of the season. Even worse if the offensive coach is working for the Dolphins at 11:30 tonight.

I'm thanking god that I decided not to play the "nearly intercepted" drinking game tonight ... I'd be clinically dead right now!

'Nearly Intercepted' I hear his name alot what number is he?

Will there be a draft if there is a lockout?
Posted by: Toronto Ry | November 18, 2010 at 10:59 PM
I'm SURE Henne would have us up 34-16 right now, huh?
NEWSFLASH NUMBSKULLS........Dan Marino couldn't help this team right now. The people in charge ARE NOT 100% devoted to winning the SuperBowl. They just wanna host it, and make money by attracting people with flash and celebs'. This team is not built to win, and it starts up in the owners box.
Posted by: Hurri | November 18, 2010 at 10:59 PM
@angry elf THATS IT!! That must be it!! hahahahahhahaha nice post
Posted by: durks | November 18, 2010 at 10:59 PM
yes they draft no matter what
Posted by: jlwesq | November 18, 2010 at 10:59 PM
this is sparano's last year I'm afraid. He just doesn't have it. He has a good QB in henne but doesn't know how to use him. Sorry sparano needs to go.
Posted by: BoulderFinFan | November 18, 2010 at 11:00 PM
the only positive thing about this lose is its not our conference we need to win the next 5-6 games to have a shot
Posted by: jamesc | November 18, 2010 at 11:00 PM
can we have a db coach too, to teach these guys how to catch a dam ball omg

Posted by: Richard3000 | November 18, 2010 at 11:00 PM
Craig,
He looks bad...there is no denying that....but so does the TEAM....They stink it up at home (again) the defense has pretty much given up (can't really blame them)...but our O line is patch work and it shows...see that play action...no time

Jimmy Jam,
I'll take Henne's winning record over Thigpen's losing record any day of the week. As a starting QB (like a head coach
), won/loss record is all that matters. Thigpen has never won anywhere he's been...PERIOD.
Posted by: Craig M | November 18, 2010 at 11:01 PM
vernon carey blows
Posted by: jlwesq | November 18, 2010 at 11:01 PM
The Bears have been running out the clock since the FIRST quarter.
Posted by: Utdolfan | November 18, 2010 at 11:01 PM
1st String QB--hurt
2nd String QB--hurt
All Pro OL -- playing hurt
#1 WR -- hurt
Starting C--hurt
what exactly did you guys expect?
Yeah, this game is ugly as hell, but there's more of their first string on the sideline right now than in the field. I know all you geniuses could coach rings around Sporano and everything, but he's still doing his job when everybody here is giving up.
We had to throw a 2nd string offense against one of the NFC's best defenses, and our D spent 2/3 of the time on the field. No, not making excuses, b/c these are facts. Yes, marshall dropped passes, and got the Fins a 15-yard penalty b/c he had to show Jay Cutler what a jackass he is.
I'm sure everyone here could've done a much better job with the MASH unit we're throwing at Chicago right now. But please try to act a little more civilized. Geessh!!
Posted by: navydolfaninva | November 18, 2010 at 11:01 PM
I can't decide what Miami needs more, a qb or 2 guards and a center. I guess id take 2 guards and a center, assuming that would open up holes for Mark Ingram next year...
Posted by: Jon | November 18, 2010 at 11:01 PM
six minutes to go and f'in play action no one is buying that bs.
Posted by: OtherJamieLuck | November 18, 2010 at 11:01 PM
Back to rebuild mode. We can't build more that 1/3 of a team at a time. Hope is for losers. Kudos to Belicheck, he keeps his team rolling whether its an old roster or young roster. Pats and Jets clearly superior. Fins are clowns and dreamers.
Posted by: no point in dreaming | November 18, 2010 at 11:02 PM
people that are still pulling for thigpen are delusional. There is a reason he's 1-15 as a starter. Henne is 10x the QB that thigpen is. Henns is not great but he's the best we got. Either way I think sparano needs to go.
Posted by: BoulderFinFan | November 18, 2010 at 11:02 PM
i love the play action im sure that works
