The Dolphins had a terribled third quarter.
They did nothing on offense and the defense yielded a touchdown drive that took part of this decade.
Oh, and Brandon Marshall is out of the game. He's on the sideline in street clothes.
Miami needs three scores to win this one, assuming they don't give up any more points.
It looks bleak but ...
Well, let's see what happens. The live blog rolls on.

You did Dying, I remember. Nice prediction (if it wasn't as deflating).

Man do all you guys out there long for the Shula and Marino days ? i cant belive the crap ive seen the past 10 years...It was fun watching the dolphins in the 80's...

The blame for the O-Line blowing falls squarely on the Ball Boy, Fist Pump & The Quitter.
They have UTTERLY FAILED over 3yrs & Millions of $$$ to even build up Fist Pump's "pet" unit.

Can Parcell's be sued? Class action? I' m in.
Posted by: Angry Elf | November 18, 2010 at 11:12 PM
Ross should fire Ireland and Henning right after game. It's delusional to think anything else from this season can be salvaged!
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
NFL, PLEASE DONT PUT US ON ANY PRIME TIME GAMES, THIS IS EMBARRASSING
Posted by: Earl | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
DC....its always good to know there are a few other level headed fans out there
Posted by: Kris | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
its interesting that the offensive line gets addressed every offseason, and it is still terrible. sure, there have been injuries, but they can't run the ball when healthy. isn't sporano an offensive line coach? by the way, why did they hire him anyway?
Posted by: austin | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
i am not going to any dolphin game until the owner shed the bucks and put a decent team out there for me to go see :(
Posted by: arpas1 | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
Jon: We DEFINITELY can fire Sparano after this season ... especially if Cowher or Gruden become available.
Posted by: zaphod | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
Craig - You'll give Henne two years and next year to improve but Thigpen, who has only started for one full year and a couple of games when you add it up, you'll not give any more time? So, Thiggy isn't the answer but Henne is? Please. The guy stinks. The only thing I'll give him is that Henning is a turd and has coached the kid scared and NEVER lets him loose. If I could only see the guy play a game where he is allowed to show what he's got. Unfortunately, I think what we've seen is what we get. We'll never know, though. This coaching staff is gone and Henne is probably gone with them because neither Gruden nor Cowher will want him (assuming Ross goes with a celebrity coach).
I'll give Thigpen more games before I judge him. To do so on this game with no O-line isn't fair. Of course, if we go on with no O-line, I guess it doesn't matter 'cause we're going down hard.

LONG LANK i appreciate that post i watched all of those games as well and i saw a team out there playing 60 minutes of football and we lost so many of those by less than a TD.... but our offense now is just a bunch of empty bodies.... we've got the components but what does any of it mean if you dont have the coaches to put it all together.... Look at Dallas and Minnesota... Two of the most loaded rosters in the league but bad coaching cant put the pieces together
Posted by: @Russell1286 | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
I wish this team were good enough to be mired in mediocrity.
Posted by: nhad | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
victor, no I don't. Why long for what you can't have? I WISH the team would find the right combination of coaches and personnel to win more than 1/2 their games consistently.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | November 18, 2010 at 11:13 PM
i think we have an owner that will be in the mix this next offseason to help pick players to atleast win a few home games

@DB--
Right Effing On!
Act now and get a jump start on the next rebuild.
And will any "sports journalist" ask St. Tuna how and why he failed so utterly in Dallas & esp. here in Miami? Nah.
Posted by: The Seer | November 18, 2010 at 11:14 PM
He'll be somewhere in the NFL next year jl. He will win another Grey Cup and get a job.

Posted by: Angry Elf | November 18, 2010 at 11:16 PM
is it really that difficult to draft a good player? it was clear to the ``untrained eye" that dez bryant is a beast. misi, odrick, are you kidding me? i mean, these guys are really over analyzing things.
Posted by: austin | November 18, 2010 at 11:16 PM
Wow ... Miami may not win another game this year. Amazing.
Posted by: zaphod | November 18, 2010 at 11:16 PM
This could've all been avoided if we hadn't traded Ted Ginn, Jr. and his family.

I am embarassed and Ross should refund my ticket price for the team he puts out there. I am done.
Posted by: Mama Henne | November 18, 2010 at 11:17 PM

WHAT CHAD.P IS DOING ON THE SIDE LINE ?
Posted by: ALoco | November 18, 2010 at 11:17 PM
thigpen sucks
Posted by: payuengsnwings | November 18, 2010 at 11:17 PM
I heard the sideline reporter say Thigpen was not given a copy of the playbook till 30 minutes before the game.
Posted by: Angry Elf | November 18, 2010 at 11:18 PM
Trestman better than Henning...at least more current. The CFL is a pass first league. We don't have running backs so we might as well be a passing team.
Posted by: OtherJamieLuck | November 18, 2010 at 11:18 PM
Not looking forward to Sparano talking about a "short" week. Excuses don't lead to victories. You can have 1/2 your starters on stretchers and think you can beat anyone.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | November 18, 2010 at 11:18 PM
ready for henne?
Posted by: jamesc | November 18, 2010 at 11:18 PM
But Dez's mother had a sordid past, so the Ball Bot decided a known head-case like BM was worth more than a 'project' like Dez--who might have showed up late for a meeting! (tho everyone who looked into it sia dhe was a good kid)
Posted by: The Seer | November 18, 2010 at 11:18 PM
NOT EVEN A FIST PUMP TONIGHT GUYS!!!
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 18, 2010 at 11:18 PM

Posted by: Po White Trash | November 18, 2010 at 11:19 PM
tuna failed hard and left
Posted by: qbclub13 | November 18, 2010 at 11:19 PM
marshall made a ``business decision" by leaving the game. that effectively ended any change to win.
Posted by: austin | November 18, 2010 at 11:19 PM
jamie we have no ol doesnt matter who runs ball or throws it
Posted by: jlwesq | November 18, 2010 at 11:19 PM

Posted by: Scooter | November 18, 2010 at 11:19 PM
At the beginning of the year, the second half of our schedule looked easy, now it looks like we'll lose every game. we've regressed to the 1-15 level of talent.
Posted by: Earl | November 18, 2010 at 11:19 PM
