Bears lead Dolphins 16-0 to start fourth quarter

The Dolphins had a terribled third quarter.

They did nothing on offense and the defense yielded a touchdown drive that took part of this decade.

Oh, and Brandon Marshall is out of the game. He's on the sideline in street clothes.

Miami needs three scores to win this one, assuming they don't give up any more points.

It looks bleak but ...

What is it with Henning calling end-arounds when they get to the other team's 35-40-yd line? It brings the drives to a screaming halt every f**king time. Had they kept that 1st drive alive (by not running that end-around), who knows how that may have turned out. The phins may have gone up 7-0 or at least 3-0.

But no. End-around -- screwed up -- loss of yards -- punt -- then pass the rest of game. Great plan, Henning.

TE isnt a problem QB, RT, CB, S are the problem. Henne i still believe has promise but he needs to be a leader and take control, yell at someone and get excited on the sideline, oh ya and learn how to look off a saftey. V. Carey looks lost but maybe Jone can come along he hasnt played to bad. Clemons is horrible the man cant tackle nor take an appropriate angle to make a tackle. A true pass catching TE would be handy but not till late in the draft.

Sparano and Henning should be fired immediately...Marshall should be benched for the rest of the season. How do you place your 3rd string QB in a position to carry the team, and don't go with the teams strength...the running game....seven carries total for the running backs...the defense should kick both Sparano and Hennings ass.

The lack of depth, especially on the O-Line, is not due to unfortunate injuries, it is due to the Ball Boys &7 Fist Pumps incompetence.

Have you looked at the lineup that the Colts are putting out there week after week? How about the Packers? Both teams are still alive at 6-3. Pretty sure the Steelers didn't miss a beat with Rothlisberger for the first four games of the season. See the reality is all loser teams want to do is blame their poor play on injuries. The reality is the effort wasn't there tonight. I'm hoping that Sparano comes clean in his presser and says just that. The team wasn't prepared tonight and they weren't prepared to pay the price and as a result we were embarassed at home by a mediocre team.

This lack of an offensive performance is squarely the fault of the offensive coordinator. Instead of designing a gameplan to use the tallent he has, he tries to force players to play his style of the game. Thigpen is not a dropback passer. He is best in a designed rollout, but none were usered to counter the Bears blitz packages. Before the game Sporano was saying that they will run successfully against the bears. They did not even try to establish the run. There was only one misdirection play, the one the reciever fumbled, but they never went back to it. I would be very happy if they fire the offensive coordinator and bring someone else in to give this offense a spark. Coaching does matter... Look at Nolan on defence. He is really enspiring them to play at a top level. The OC is only enspiring the other team's defense. He sucks and needs to go.

Robot, the reason injuries can't be blamed is the defense was full of starters. I saw Wake, I saw Davis, I saw Dansby and Crowder. These weren't backups. Someone needs to step up. These guys didn't come to play. Marshall, the line, Thigpen, I blame all of 'em. The only people on offense that came to play were Hartline and Long (tough mother he is). Long should have been having surgery today, not on the field. Why keep him out there?

Right on brother. I agree with a lot of what you said. I'm calling it a night guys. Gotta say, as much as I love my team it was a total waste of an evening watching that pitiful perfomance. I hope the players are embarassed by the effort on National TV. And I also have to say, the coaching staff just doesn't have it. If that's the best they can do to prepare their team for a game in four days they are doing something horribly wrong. There is no way those players gave it full effort tonight, on a short week, in a must-win game, and part of that blame has to fall on the coaching staff. Sparano gets one more year (assuming the team doesn't completely go into the tank).

Sapp was perhaps the worst player on the field tonight. This gal at the bar who knows nothing except #27 is killing was able to spot this. Henning, Sparano have to shoulder the brunt of this one. Thigpen looked like he hit the meth pipe before the game. Run the ball a few times to settle him down. Who cares if we have to punt. But do something. Thigpen played as poorly as the game plan. Also put a running back to help Carey. He was getting B!tc% slapped all night. No help. Nice adjustments.

I am not saying he didn't make some bad decisions but Henne would have had both legs amputated and his skull crushed if he had been in there.
