Brandon Marshall just guaranteed the Miami Dolphins will be in the playoffs this season.
"Oh, yeah, absolutely," Marshall said when asked if he was guaranteeing a playoff berth.
"I don't know how many wins it's going to take," he continued, "but we'll be there at the end."
Marshall is not blind. He recognizes the team is struggling. The Dolphins are 4-4. And Marshall characterized Miami's offensive performances so far as, "up and down."
But ... the confidence. The ever-loving confidence peeks through eventually.
"Any minute now, we're going to put it all together," he said.
By the way, wise guys, Marshall meant he guarantees a playoff berth this year, not some day. Just in case some of you get cute.
By the way, Marshall isn't the only person in the NFL exuding confidence today. At New York Jets training facility, coach Rex Ryan was back to his old Hard Knocks ways.
"We have more talent than anybody," he said during his press conference. "I expect to win every game."
Which one is more likely to be true?

Rex Ryan so fat that when he needed to take a dump they couldnt pry his butt cheeks apart not even with the jaws of life.

Best fans my butt...I think that I have tenure here...
Posted by: Marc | November 11, 2010 at 07:21 PM
Aloco,
My biggest issue isnt Penne or Henne. My biggest issue is Henne is being made to fall on DAN HENNING'S sword.
We used the "wildcat" didnt they? If they really think Henne's a problem in the redzone why not begin the "wildpenne"? Just bring him in to throw endzone fades to Marshall.
Thats what I would try if I were the OC. How often do we see passes to Ronnie out of the backfield? Cam Cameron had Brown looking like a pro bowl rb doing this before Brown went down for the season.
Henning has very little imagination, has improper or lack of use of personel, calls nearly as many bad plays as ok plays, and worst of all it always seem to happen when we can least afford to lose MOMENTUM most!
Pennington is limited by what his shoulder will do. But dolphans here talk likes he's going to be the savior. That far from true and we still have HENNING.
What really gives us a better chance to win? I just hate seeing our fans be so delussional just to be disappointed once again.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 07:26 PM
Here is my last one.....
Rex Ryan is so fat, the last time he jumped into the beach in NY, it caused a Tsunami in India.
Posted by: Finfan | November 11, 2010 at 07:26 PM
I'm not trying to be a total ddddiiiccckk but how many mfers on here can't spell. Loose is what Rex Ryan's pants would be if is big ass could stop eating, lose is what happens when you score less points than the other team.

Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 07:34 PM
Aloco,
I dont talk about Henne's intelligence because I feel bad making fun of large watermelon size headed people. Its not nice ALoco. He has a bad enough time trying to find pull over sweaters.
Geesh, ALoco be nice!
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 07:37 PM
I guarantee WE still dont have an answer at the QB position!!!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | November 11, 2010 at 07:37 PM
I say sign Allen Iverson. He isnt doing anything now and he was once referred to as "the answer."
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 07:40 PM
Guys,
I think we hurt "The Red Sparrow's" feelings. I think he moved on to the blog with the national spelling bee champions.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 07:43 PM
DYING, don't you think henne will come back stronger for being benched ? most great qb's do .
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 07:43 PM
but he got to practice dying
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 07:44 PM
Aloco,
I do think Henne will come back strong. Now he has a chance to let the swelling in ankles go down after being under the immense weight of such an overly large head. Yes, Aloco with time to rest and rejuvenate his ankles he should play like its a brand new season.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 07:48 PM
Aloco,
What fans also dont realize is Henne isnt staring down his wr's. He's moving his eyes. He knows his head is so large that if he turns it he'll be staring into the crowds and completely not see the the field at all.

ALoco,
Here's what I think may work for Henne. Get him a tinted shield so the db's cant tell which directions his eyes are looking.
G-E-N-U-I-S-E...........!!!
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 07:58 PM
Henne; Polomalu! How did you know I was going to throw the ball to the check down? You intercepted it!
Polomalu; "You said it with your eyes...you said it with your eyes"

Chad Henne's head was so big at birth that when the doctors finally delivered him the hospital gave his mother 4 birth certificates. One for each one of his fore-heads.

dying/martin.....when you want to meet nice women how you do it ?
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 08:31 PM
Aloco,
When I wanna meet nice women I go to church. When I wanna meet bad women I go to the bar or clubs.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 08:37 PM
how you start talking to the bad women in a club ?
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 08:39 PM
Aloco,
Walk up behind her and say whats up b!tch? When she turns around quickly apologize telling her she looked like you best female friend and offer to buy her favorite drink to make it up to her.
From that she's all yours to win or lose. Play your cards right you'll definitely get laid.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 08:46 PM
Aloc another one that worked for me is walk up from behind and gently kiss her neck. When she turns around apologize and say you though she was someone else.
Then they usually smile at you and then you offer to buy her favorite drink and youre in there for the night buddy.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 08:49 PM
Aloco,
Another thing. Please make sure she doesnt have a boyfriend there with her before you do it. Things could also get very ugly too.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 08:52 PM
do you talk this way w/any woman or just the trashy looking ones ? do you go by the cloths ,say SHE looks like she's buying her HOOKER clothes from HSN
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 08:52 PM
DYING, you really know your stuff ,i like older women than me about 35-40 .i find them real a treat .btw, who pays for the drinks after we talk ?
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 08:56 PM
Aloco,
Of course she pays for the rest after you get her to run a tab because youre a little low on cash right now and will make it up to her later. If theyre interested in you they do it. If not spend no more money and slip off.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 11, 2010 at 09:04 PM
what if i go to bar and can't find a burnet woman ?
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 09:11 PM
DAN HENNING MINUTES AGO ((( HENNE DIDN'T MISS ANY TACKLES,HE DIDN'T DROP ANY BALL AND HE DIDN'T MISS ANY BLOCKS,THE HC COACH HAD TO MAKE A DECISION AND HE MAD IT )))))
HE ADDED ...(( NOW IT SENDS A MESSAGE TO THE TEAM THAT WE R 4/4 AND THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH SO WE NEED A SPARK )))
OF HENNE HE SAID (( HE WILL BE BACK STRONG B/C HE HAS ALL THE TOOLS EVEN IF HE'S SENSITIVE ( HENNE HAS NEEB CRYING IN MEETING W/CHAD .P AFTER THE SWITCH )
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 09:38 PM

Hope you Hene FanBoyz are watching our franchise's future, Matt Ryan
Tuna's Ur-Mistake-----falling on such love with Henne that he waited & passed on Ryan
LOng is GREAT, but wat good is a LT who has nothing to protect? ATL is set for 10yrs, and we're searching for a QB & a Coach & a GM again.
Arthur Blank must be lhao---thankng his lucky stars that Huizenga "stole" Tuna from him
Posted by: The Seer | November 11, 2010 at 09:56 PM
Read the story about henning and him not changing anything to help henne out and play towards his skills....makes me sick!!! fire henning now!!!!
Posted by: cowkilla | November 11, 2010 at 11:02 PM
I agree with Marshall that Miami does have a lot of talent but I believe there are concerns with both the Offensive and Defensive Lines that need to be addressed.
Posted by: Buffalo Dolphan | November 11, 2010 at 11:10 PM
I Guarantee Marshall doesnt have more than 4 TDs by the end of the year!!!I also gaurantee that henning would like Pat White to become the starting QB for 2011 and beyond!!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | November 11, 2010 at 11:15 PM
marshall twaked his words a little tonight when he spoke ,he said...
(( henne IS ONE THE BEST QB'S I EVER PLAYED WITH AND WE WILL GO TO THE PLAYOFFS WITH..... ANY OF THE 2 CHADS BUT RIGHT NOW WE A GUY WHO SAW A LOT OF FOOTBALL AND CAN LIGHT A SPARK )))
p.s...notice he added any of the 2 chads ,
Posted by: ALoco | November 11, 2010 at 11:23 PM
Actually, the whole thing does make sense! Henne has struggled to make throws and reading the defense. Sit him down while he works some more on his fundamentals and gets his head wrapped around what's going on out on the field. Let him study and clean up his game a bit so that it slows down for him more. Let him realize how it's a thinking man's game more than a physical one. He's got to sharpen his tools!
Pennington played with a bum shoulder for quite some time and it got him benched in favor of Henne. He should be well healed by now. He was throwing pretty decent in practises and seems to have better chemistry with Marshall and the other receivers. He's more accurate and has better placement and reads defences better. His "noodle arm" is much stronger now and this offence isn't designed for throws over 45 yards anyway!
So, why are all you people having a cow? Don't you want your team to do what's best for the team and try to win games? Are you really Dolphin Fans? Or, won't they let you play on the Jet's blogs anymore? Jeesh!
Posted by: Tracy474 | November 11, 2010 at 11:27 PM
i disagree that benching chad for chad will wreck chad's confidence...i think chad will get bounced around but good and chad will have another shot at it....many top qb's have taken far longer to develop i.e. phil simms, eli, brees, etc...i think it will turn out to be a wakeup call for chad and that good things will come of this move....henne has been a hero and has had no support from henning or his fumble fingered receivers....CJ is going to gash but good on Sunday...just sayin...
