And the hits just keep on coming.
An NFL source confirmed to the Herald's Jeff Darlington that offensive lineman Jake Long suffered a dislocated shoulder during today's victory over Tennessee.
Miami's franchise left tackle is scheduled for an MRI on Monday morning.
This is not a season-ending situation. Long may be able to play with the injury. The MRI is supposed to make sure that there is no structural damage that would make playing a hazard to Long's career in the long term.
If that is not the case, it is possible Long can secure the shoulder and play -- although it will be painful and he will be somewhat limited in his movement.
The Dolphins, however, may elect to keep Long out.
It is poor timing for Miami that they are suffering this rash of injuries -- Long, Henne, Chris Clemons, who left the game benged up -- as they have only four days to recover and play Chicago.

WoW we got a "W" today but at one hell of a price.

Marc,
I hope they don't move Carey to left tackle. He was whiffing all day. He whiffed on the guy that knocked Penny into long.
Posted by: odinseye | November 14, 2010 at 08:21 PM
Carey has been whiffing on guys the last 2 seasons, he's a constant weakspot on the OL
Posted by: Mags1972 | November 14, 2010 at 08:25 PM
ANOTHER QUESTION, WHY MARSHALL SO UPSET ? HE MAKES 50 MILLION AND NOT HAPPAY THAT FASANO CAUGHT ALL HIS BALLS TODAY .
Posted by: ALoco | November 14, 2010 at 08:27 PM
Yeah, well, what's the alternative?
Carey has been bad, but, not as bad as the interior line
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:27 PM
You forgot Wake as a MAJOR injury.
Posted by: Hayden Fox | November 14, 2010 at 08:29 PM
Marshall is upset because he knows he can be a playmaker, and by Tennessee's admission they had him singled-up and the corner was telling him the route he was about to run with 80% accuracy based on the formations that Henning kept running.
I'd be miffed too if I was him
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:30 PM
Is Kyle mackey still around? he is better than J russel. Wow this sucks.
Posted by: shaggy | November 14, 2010 at 08:31 PM
Did Wake even play? Oh yeah, he tipped a pass...Nevermind
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:31 PM
TRYING TO TELL EVERYONE EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT REPORTED DAN HENNING GOT A REALLY NASTY PHONE CALL FROM STEPHEN ROSS AT HALFTIME.
AFTER HALFTIME OUR OFFENSE HAD A TOTALLY STRANGE LOOK. IT ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE A NFL OFFENSE. ROSS THREATENED TO COME TO BOOTH AND FIRE HENNING ON THE SPOT IF HE DIDNT GET WITH THE PROGRAM!!!!
YOU GUYS THINK IM KIDDING BUT IM SERIOUS AS A HEART ATTACK. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE OFFENSIVE LOOKS YOU SAW TODAY UNDER HENNING BEFORE?
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 14, 2010 at 08:31 PM
Right after the Miami Dolphins broke the huddle and got into their offensive formation Cortland Finnegan would look Brandon Marshall right in the eye and tell him the exact route he was running.
Finnegan, Tennessee’s starting cornerback, admitted he wasn’t right all the time, but he guessed he was on the mark about 80 percent of the Dolphins’ offensive snaps.
“You shouldn’t be able to do that, but I’ve watched every single game Miami’s played this year and the formation doesn’t lie. Formations tell a lot,” Finnegan said. “He didn’t like that.
DO WE NEED ANYMORE PROOF THAT DAN HENNING IS A FOOL? Fire this jackass as soon as possible,,,,,,,PLEASE?!
Posted by: Denny | November 14, 2010 at 08:32 PM
Sorry Marc, I don't have an alternative. Well actually I do, but I don't want to claim it.
This coaching staff will promptly insert the Dallas Dumpster Diving phenom Patrick McQuistan.
AwwRight Miami!!!!
Posted by: odinseye | November 14, 2010 at 08:32 PM
DB, I haven't seen a 4WR set, much less a 5 WR set more than once or twice all season.
It was nice to see them TRY to get downfield
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:33 PM
ODIN, i just watch antique road show and a guy had GAY SAYERS JERSY NO 40 AND WAS OLD AND ASKED HOW MUCH WOULD BE TO SELL IT SO THE APPRASIER TOLD HIM THIS A VERY OLD JERSEY AND WAS WORN MORE THAN 50 TIMES B/C IT HAD MANT HOLES AND WERE FIXED .HE SAID B/C NFL PEOPLE WANT TO SEE SWEET AND BLOOD .THE JERSY EASTAMATED AT 35,000 DOLLARS .
P.S ... I DIDN'T KNOW HIS CARRER WAS OVER B/C OF KNEE INJURY
Posted by: ALoco | November 14, 2010 at 08:33 PM
ALoco,
Chad P. was signed because he is a good character guy and also knows how to scramble eggs.
Posted by: Utdolfan | November 14, 2010 at 08:34 PM
you all are wrong....pennington taking the starting snap did not give him a 200,000 bonus...his contract went from 2.5 million to 5.5 million for those 2 snaps
Posted by: dolphin fan since the beginning | November 14, 2010 at 08:34 PM
ALoco that statement right there is part of what is wrong with our country. "whos to blame here" because Pennington got hurt and we are paying him.
It's that type of attitude that has lead to billions of dollars in frivolous law suits in turn tugging at the fabric of our civil liberties.
Don't be part of the problem. No one is to blame, s**t happens.
Posted by: Denny | November 14, 2010 at 08:36 PM
The stadium was almost full ALoco? I couldn't watch the game. Was it full of Miami fans or were there a lot of Titan fans as well?
Posted by: Denny | November 14, 2010 at 08:37 PM
Stephen Ross made halftime phone calls. Ireland protects HENNING from Sparano. Its about time Ross stepped in.
I honestly believe Ross forced what happened during the 2nd half today!!! No way do I believe any different.
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 14, 2010 at 08:38 PM
I just made that same post Denny...Biter ;)
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:38 PM

TD Pats.

Which one Marc?
Posted by: Denny | November 14, 2010 at 08:40 PM
Dying....where did you get this info from? Just asking...dont take it the wrong way.
I would actually like it if that was actually what happened. Its about time there is some accountability for the offense.
Posted by: acwalsh8 | November 14, 2010 at 08:40 PM
Dyingbreed did you read that somewhere or are you speculating?
If that's true it would explain a lot and renew my faith in Sparano a bit.
Posted by: Denny | November 14, 2010 at 08:41 PM
Not sure DB. Maybe Sparano lit into everyone's tail this week; including Hennings.
It was def an entirely different game plan
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:41 PM
I don't believe this shyt.
We lose a starting Quarterback, a backup quarterback and probably our Pro Bowl left tackle, but watch out Chicago WE GOT THIGPEN!
We get the AFC's leading sack specialist banged up and our starting Free Safety, but the Dingleberries keep gathering on Thiggy's twiggy sack!
We just had the worst day injury wise in Miami Dolphins History and a bunch of ding dongs are talking like we're SuperBowl bound!?!?
I hate to rain on the parade but I'm doing it anyways. I thought I was depressed last week! I'm going to have to make another liquor run.
Posted by: odinseye | November 14, 2010 at 08:42 PM
CHAD.P WAS RAPPING YESTERDAY AND WHY NOT ,GETTING 5.75 MILLION B/C HE BECAME A STARTER AND THE REGIME SIGNED HIM KNOWING HE WILL NOT LAST A GAME .MEAN WHILE WE HAVE HENNE AT 600,000 AND WORTH EVERY TEAM IN THE NFL HAS 3 QB WHILE WE HAVE ONLY AND WE R DOWN TO 1 .QB .NOW WE R LOOKING FOR 2 QB'S TO FINISH THE SEASON .
DYING, I BELIEVE YOUR STORY AT HALF TIME
Posted by: ALoco | November 14, 2010 at 08:42 PM
WE PASSED ON M.VICK B/C OF DOGS , IRELAND SHOULD WORK FOR A CHURCH .
Posted by: ALoco | November 14, 2010 at 08:44 PM
acwalsh8,
Nothing else this season has forced a change of plans from HENNING. I honestly believe Ross himself made a threatning phone call threatning to come up in the booth and personally fire Henning himself if his bs play calling didnt change during the 2nd half.
GOD I hope that's what happened!!!
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 14, 2010 at 08:44 PM
It's funny how everyone said we had better watch out for Moss this week.
How did that work out again?
hahahahahahahahah VD and the rest of the secondary shut his primadona a** down!!!!
Posted by: Denny | November 14, 2010 at 08:44 PM
Aloco
Why you on my @ss?
Chill bro.
I was walking your sister around the block to her favorite tree.
Good game!

Very profitable to be liked by Parcells.

Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:45 PM
"Thiggys twiggy sack" odinseye that was priceless.
I'm with you man. I hope they prove us wrong but this day was a disaster in my opinion.
Posted by: Denny | November 14, 2010 at 08:46 PM
BOBBYD12, you know you r my hero .peace
Posted by: ALoco | November 14, 2010 at 08:47 PM
Mark,
Couldnt have just been Sparano lighting into everyone. We saw an entire difference in play calling and formations used. Did you also noticed Henne in the shotgun?
They had been feeding us the bs Henne doesnt like the shotgun thats why they dont use it. Henne played well while he was in the shotgun.
Something more drastic happened at halftime. The most dramtic thing I can think of is a very nasty phone call from Stephen Ross himself. Think about it!
Posted by: DyingBreed | November 14, 2010 at 08:48 PM
Truer words were never spoken UTdolfan. Parcells has always paid a premium to his guys...
It is almost laughable that Penny hurt himself on the very first throw after all the jokes all week. I mean....WOW
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:48 PM
fake bobbyd12 last post ALoco. But i dont owe you apology. I read the live blog, Armando said about 10,000 empty seats in 400 Section Today. A friend who went to game told me Clubs Seats were 50% empty. i said about 15,000 empty seats. I was right
Posted by: bobbyd12 | November 14, 2010 at 08:49 PM
Well, at least you have an imagination DB...
Tough to speculate. Henning could have just been tired of reading this blog and decided to open it up.
We'll never know
Posted by: Marc | November 14, 2010 at 08:51 PM
Dying Breed,
That explains everything. I was calling Hennings booth all game. I kept getting a busy signal!
PS: BEFORE the alledged phone call, we had 15 yards rushing in the first HALF!
Hennings entire game plan looked awsome. Wait, no it didn't. He threw the game plan out the window when Penny went down.
Henning dumblucked into this because he went straight into panic mode!
FIRE HENNING NOW!!!!
Posted by: odinseye | November 14, 2010 at 08:51 PM
DO YOU GUYS THINK CHAD.P IS A CON ARTIST TO PUT IN THE CONTRACT THE JUMP TP 5.75 IF HE STARTS KNOWING THAT DOCTORS MUST TOLD HIM ,( YOU CAN LAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE DISASTER HAPPENS )) .
I DON'T THINK CHAD.P WILL HAVE ANY THING TO DO W/FINS IN THE FUTURE .
Posted by: ALoco | November 14, 2010 at 08:52 PM
Short week too...did anyone say "crap!" yet?
