OAKLAND -- The haters will have to wait another day.
The Dolphins season, on the brink, survives today because the Miami got great efforts all around in this 33-17 victory over Oakland.
They got a great effort from Chad Henne, who threw for over 307 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
They got a great effort from the wide receiver corps that didn't seem to notice Brandon Marshall was missing. Davone Bess had 111 yards receiving on six receptions. Rookie Marlon Moore caught a 57-yard touchdown pass.
They definitely got good work from the defense. Miami had three turnovers. And the Raiders running game was absent today because Miami erased it.
It was a solid victory. The Dolphins are 6-5.
Onward.

Where's Mando????????????

I think he decided to take a couple of personal days in San Francisco. not that there's anything wrong with that. It's a very beautiful city.

I hear they have great shoe shops there... Again, not that there's anything wrong with that...

Soon nobody will be "Walking in a Nuclear Winter Wonderland" in Korea
Other countries are involved, namely China & the USA
Could very well be a "December to Remember"
Problem
Reaction
Solution
Not something Home enjoys reporting

Cuban, do Home's messages concern you as an American citizen?
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | November 30, 2010 at 09:39 AM
Home, Do you think Mando has been abducted by the North Koreans?????

Double rainbow yesterday @ aprox 12:50 PM
Primary rainbow was one of the most spectacular & brilliant rainbows, Home has ever witnessed, esp at clarity of prism of colors vividly making contact with the horizon, seemingly only several hundred yards ahead in light refraction
The incipient stage of the optical phenomena was in the east, arching out 180 degrees to the WSW in the most radiant of visual pleasantries during the inclement weather of a steady protracted sun shower
The double rainbow existed for bout 15 minutes
proceeded solemente by the most proud & ostentatious remaining single rainbow in Southern Palm Beach, FL.
WOW!

Even Home's in a good mood, following the win. . .

Think Armando took advantage of his demographic placement of NFL sports reporting assignment and is clandestinely extending & enjoying trip 3000 miles away from South Florida
Believe his selfish own interests far supersede the interests of bloggers and blog traffic to this blog site
However,Armando as a person incapable of even going a few days without telling a multitude of mistruths and "little white lies" will feel no remorse in his thoughts or actions as lying has been Armando learned & widely accepted behavior since his adolescence

Sounds like Home thinks Mando is taking time to take in the local flavour of San Francisco.
Omar at the SS is playing this up as Matt Roth week. I will never understand that guy's obsession with Roth and his distaste for Misi. Strange lad with his whte fedora.

The Battles in North & South Korea will extend to other countries & cultures
The players & pieces of this Nuclear Armageddon are already in place and will be unfolding right before your eyes
You conveniently turned your thought process off regarding most significant matter with worldwide implications and complete imminent devastation to part of your planet
This will be only the start
After the initial jaw dropping obliteration utilizing nuclear weapons of mass destruction
Many players will join in on the reduction of aprox 6 billion humans
It will get a lot worse
Then u will have a problem
Followed by a reaction (expected reaction to those with clear thought process)
Followed by a solution, u actually at the time will think is a "good idea"
and then u will ask yourself aloud,
"Home, What the Hell Happened" ?
"Home, How Did It All Go Wrong" ?

The Browns have clobbered some good teams, but lose to the mediocre ones. Bodes well for us. :) I think we match up well. The Browns want to run the ball, and they won't be able to. When they get desperate and start slinging the ball around, good things will happen on defense. We have the 2d ranked pass defense in the AFC.

Tinfoil off deep end again. Stick to NFL, man. Stay away from real news.

NC Fin Fan,
Excellent post @1013

People here talk about bad QBs (or QBs that have had enough time to show what they had and should be given the boot). And they put Henne in that category. Well, the QBs I put in that category are QBs like Derek Anderson (waste of space). QBs like Matt Hasselbeck (talk about mediocre). QBs like Matt Moore (not an NFL QB). QBs like Bruce Gradkowski AND Jason Campbell.
Henne on his worst day looks like Peyton Manning compared to these bums.
I'm not saying Henne is the man (yet), I'm just saying you need to realistically look at the talent level of QB in the NFL right now to see what you can even get out there. The fact that these guys are STARTING QBs should tell you there's not much else available.
You put a good caliber team around Chad Henne, and you can trust and believe he won't be the reason they win or lose a majority of the games.

The Family Circus and Marmaduke are the most intellectually stimulating comics ever created. So nuanced and complex.
Posted by: Billy | November 30, 2010 at 10:41 AM
I agree with you, DC and have been on board all year. I think Henne has the goods but just needs more experience and teaching to reach the next level. I think at the top end - he could be as good as Eli Manning. At worst, Jake Delhomme (when he could still play). But he definitely is not a bum of a qb. Bums don't throw for almost 4,000 yards in this league in a full season.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | November 30, 2010 at 10:41 AM
Yup, exactly Mark.
I also wanted to give a shout-out to that chicken shyt Buffalo Bill. Where you at Billster? Takes no balls to come on here after a Bills win and Dolphins loss to talk trash. I'd respect you more if you came here after a week that proved once again how good teams find ways to win, and more importantly (Bill) how BAD TEAMS seem to ALWAYS find a way to loose.
I'd love to hear your take on it Bill. Waiting....waiting....that's what I thought. Chicken shyt!
Difference between Miami's loss to Pitt and yours Bill, is that at least our players came through in the end. The ref had to step in and give the game away. In your case, it was your idiot WR who couldn't catch (ALL DAY) that mucked it up for you.
But, not to pile on Bill, I know it's tough for you. Never good enough. You must be sick and tired of that statement. Probably followed you all through life. Sorry you and your team are so pathetic Bill, if you're out there!
Posted by: DC Dolfan | November 30, 2010 at 10:47 AM
That's funny stuff DC, but I was hoping Buffalo would pull it out - it would've helped our cause a great deal. All in all, I don't think Pittsburgh is much better, if at all than Miami. It was proved when we were heads up and it's being proved when they face similar competition. I think that's the team we have the best chance of catching.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | November 30, 2010 at 10:52 AM
Pittsburgh winning that game pretty much ended any realistic shot Miami had at making the playoffs. The Bills winning would have been far better for the Dolphins.
Posted by: art fleming | November 30, 2010 at 10:58 AM
Gotta love that Mark, still hangin' on to the tread of hope we have for the Playoffs. God bless you dude, seriously, your team spirit is commendable.
I myself need to see a 2-win streak before I even THINK about jumping on that bus.
I'm like What About Bob?, baby steps bro.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | November 30, 2010 at 11:01 AM
And before Kris says I'm a horrible fan for not having faith in my team, let me add that I want Miami to win ALL their remaining games.
But Ronald Reagan said, "trust, but verify." And that's the crux of my argument. Anyway, it's not in our hands (just the facts). If NY/Pats keep winning, nothing we do will matter.
