Brandon Marshall: 'It's too calm' around the Dolphins

Brandon Marshall hasn't been on the field since the Chicago game two weeks ago. He hasn't been in the end zone but once this season.

The guy's obviously bored. (I know the feeling, by the way as I cover team mediocre.)

Anyway, Marshall today said his hamstring that has kept him out of the line is "feeling fine" so that suggests he'll be playing Sunday against Cleveland. What he does with that opportunity is unclear because Marshall wants to make it unpredictable.

"I've been thinking of other ways where I can push the envelope without getting penalties or getting fined," Marshall said while talking about the taunting penalty he got for playfully tossing a caught ball at former Denver teammate Jay Cutler two weeks ago. "I got to get creative. I've been too boring this year.

"Of course, I got only one touchdown, but If I get in the end zone, I need to do some celebration or something. Do something. Any ideas, let me know. Just give me something. Something! I don't know, say something. Spark some controversy. It's too calm."

OK, you heard the man. He wants suggestions of what he should do to stir things up a bit. Get to it, people!

Can anyone make Charles Barkley just shut the hell up?

CB is another diva and speaks the truth. He once said average people don't realize what a Pro athlete can do; they jump over you, you standing up.

Oh OH!

Scaubs down!

Thanks DB, I completely forgot about this game.

Cleveland crowd now chanting "SCOTTI PIPPEN" continuoslt at LeBron. LOL

How Did Ronnie Brown Win Dolphins Man Of The Year? Didnt He Get A DUI?

NO DB, we DONT CARE, sorry if i seem INSENSITIVE, but we are watching the HEAT at cleveland! But i took a break to answer you.....i enjoy your posts...and yes, Barkley is a fool...he needs a t shirt that says, "Im talking and i cant shut up!"

The thing that separates good running backs from Great Ones. VISION, period. Arian Foster has it!

Thurman Thomas was never a physical freak of nature. He just had great vision and could MAKE the play develop in front of him.

Heat looks ok but I dont think they'll go very far against the elite nba teams until they get a frontline enforcer. Thier front court is very soft. Wade and James also have to help with rebounding by them having such a soft frontcourt.

This team's on critical life support system as far as making the playoffs and all B-Marsh can focus on is an endzone celebration?

Great wr's like Jerry Rice and others regularly beat double teams and were still able to step up in critical situations. Didnt seem those guys were overly concerned about td celebrations but instead they seemed to only be focused on winning games.

Seems in Marshall we have just another run of the mill superstar stat meister. Dude seems more concerned about stats and celebrations than winning games. I pray Marlon Moore and Wallace develops quickly.

---------
I'm sure that's all he cares about.

Is it just me or does Deon look like an idiot in that brown fedora?

Wait, let me answer my own question. Not only does he look like an idiot, he IS an idiot!

He picked the wets to beat the pats.

odin, what about emmit smith, dolphins picked sammie smith instead....we've made some horrible choices for years...i say we should kidnap ingrahm from alabama!

Redsky,

I think Mark Brown will be the closest thing to Emmitt Smith to enter the league since Emmitt Smith himself. If we have a chance to get him and pass at least it wont be the first time dolfans have seen our organization make such whiffs.

I guess we're sort of getting used to and expect it by now.

Sorry Redsky meant to say Mark Ingram.

Redsky,

I think Emmit Smith is an excellent example of a running back with great vision.

Ingrahm is an intriguing proposition. However, if I were the GM and with the state of affairs with this team, I couldn't spend that high of a pick on a RB.

Unless he falls a long way, I would be targeting a fast, athletic pass catching TE.

Lebron James placing the dagger to Cavs fans hearts. He's scored 20pts in the 3rd qtr alone. LOL

Odinseye,

The best TE in the 2011 draft isnt slated to go until late 2nd early 3rd rd. Are you suggesting we "reach" by selecting this kind of guy with our 1st rd pick?

Why dont we just compund not having a 2nd rd pick by using a 1st rd pick to select a Te slated to go late 2nd rd at best or early 3rd rd. I have a better solution. Why dont we just donate all of our 2011 picks to nfl charity.

Odinseye,

This years TE class absolutely sucks. We may not see the first TE come off the boards until early 3rd rd. Very late 2nd rd at best.

Start of the 4th qtr Heat with 30pt lead and looking like Lebron James done for the nite. Scored 24pts in the 3rd qtr alone.

odin, we need a solid RB, brown and williams are done....

Chris Bosh plays with arms to his side and legs close together. If he would just widen his stance and stretch his arms out on defense he would look like a freaking condor. He plays way to small with the legs close together and arms to the side.

When he does this he just looks like a stick man out there.

MIAMI TONIGHT LOOKS LIKE BOSTON CELTICS AND CLE LOOKS LIKE THE MIAMI HEAT.

Jason Allen just picked off Vick.

DB,

Were you being sarcastic-LOL?

Who is the best TE coming out?

Who slated him to go? Where did whomever slate him to go?

Do YOU want to compound us not having a second round pick by trading UP to get Ingrahm?

There's way to many variables for me to speculate at this point in the season. One thing I'm fairly certain of is that Ingrahm will be long gone by the time we pick.

As far as me wanting to target a pass catching TE, I wouldn't be totally against the idea of trading down, recouping our second round pick and selecting a TE.

So THERE!(Now picture me sticking my tongue out at you-LOL)!!!!

2nd time vick picked of this year!

The phins need to twist the dagger thats in the cleveland fans hearts this sunday!!

Redsky,

Against the Raiders Sunday was the most decisive Ive seen Ronnie Brown ru during his entire career here. Still only seeing it once during his entire career doesnt warrant trust.

Mark Ingram's most glaring strong suit is listed as absolutely great vision. The guys fully understands setting up his blocks and how and where to explode off of them. Brown still is just average at best doing this even in this stage of his pro career.

Mark Ingram will be an etreme upgrade to Ronnie Brown and I say this with a full 100% confidence.!!!

BBal players are nothing but over paid ho payin bruddas that would do no better in life than drive a UPS truck if they couldn't shoot baskets.

ingrahm will be gone in the top 3 picks! if not first....

Ingram will only be an average back at best in the NFL. Not quick enough, and not going to be as strong against NFL defenses. I wouldn't take him period.

Redsky,

I agree we need a solid running back, but I don't think the Parcells protege will take one in the first round.

Even if he did, it wouldn't be Ingrahm, he'll be gone.

You and DB had a good story going, too bad I had to F it up with some facts.

Odinseye,

unless we make the playoffs we'll have an excellent chance to get Mark Ingram. He isnt even slated to go until about the 15th pick because teams before this pick have other more glaring needs.

According to Walter Camp:

1. Kyle Rudolph*, TE, Notre Dame
Height: 6-6. Weight: 260.
Projected 40 Time: 4.60.
Projected Round (2011): Top 35 Pick.
10/2/10: Rudolph had 21 catches for 287 yards and two touchdowns through his first three games, but only managed one reception against Stanford. Rudolph is easily the top tight end prospect on the board, but because tight ends tend to fall in the NFL Draft, there is chance he slips to early Round 2.

2. D.J. Williams, TE, Arkansas
Height: 6-2. Weight: 251.
Projected 40 Time: 4.70.
Projected Round (2011): 3-4.
10/2/10: Williams has some athleticism and solid hands, which makes him our second projected tight end to go off the board in a very weak 2011 NFL Draft class. Williams currently has 19 catches for 236 yards in his first four games.

So you see, we may not see a Te come off the board until the 2nd rd. Then the next best TE doesnt come off the board until 3-4th rd. Also Fasano is from Notre Dame too.

http://walterfootball.com/draft2011TE.php

Trade Marshall for 2 twos or a 1 and a 3, cut your losses. He obviously is an I-ME-MINE person, to quote the Beatles. We need picks, Belichuck has a giant wad of picks, giving up 2 2nds plus 50 mill for Marshall was just plain stupid. This team is striving for perpetual mediocrity.

I don't care who slates who to go where!

ALL the so called experts, every one that gave an opinion said Devon Bess would NEVER make it in the NFL.

I do a little research on prospects during the season, but I save the majority of it for the off season.

I don't listen to any of the blowhards. Especially Mayock and Hair Piece!!!!

Mark Ingram*, RB, Alabama - Scouting Report
Height: 5-10. Weight: 215.
Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
Projected Round (2011): Top 15 Pick.

10/1/10: Ingram recovered from a knee injury missing his first two games, but he has dominated and returned to Heisman form. He is averaging 9.3 yards per carry on 308 yards total in his last two games against Duke and Arkansas. Ingram isn't the fastest back in the 2011 NFL Draft, but he has amazing balance, power, vision and terrific instincts. He will be the first back off the board.

So you see as I said Ingram's a top 15 pick. But we'll probably screw that up by winning just enough games to pick 19th or 20th anyway.

There is J Allan with yet another big INT. This staff is brilliant. I love how they keep dumping productive guys like Allen and Roth.
Allen was leading the team in INT’s. Roth gets immediately picked up and is playing great. If we had kept Roth then the team could have drafted who? Instead of Misi. A NT, Safety? Dez? Lame.
Oh and did I read some nonsense about fans wanting to get rid of BM? That is just ridiculous. The team finally lands a playmaker and some fans want to jettison him right off the bat. Wow.

Ingram = bust. His talent won't transfer to the NFL. Avg at best. Plus he'll only have more knee issues.

VIVA VICK THE TD MACHINE

Oregon, go eat some cheese, dumbest post I've seen. Allen gets burned more than a candle. Roth invented flu and groin problems that never existed. They reached with Marshall, way over paid for a slow slug with butter fingers. He's a total diaper boy.

DB,

I suspect Ingrahms projection will rise in the months leading up to the draft.

To be fair to you, I'm not sold on Rudolph or Williams. You almost never hear of any Junior TE's declaring early for the draft.

Have you heard of any?

GM,

Those were the exact same insights on Emmitt Smith take away your overly opionated knee issue remarks.

Regarding:

Odinseye,

Thats why I was telling the TE class for 2011 draft absolutely sucks. As a matter of fact the entire 2011 draft class period is one of the weaker classes in a while.

GM, HAS A TELENT FOR WRITING .

VICK=20 MILLION NEXT YEAR

Dying...ok Emmitt was the exception, not the rule. Wasn't Reggie Bush supposed to be the next Gale Sayers/Barry Sanders? Only a fool would take Ingram in the first round.

Odinseye,

I think the best 2011 TE prospects came out in the 2011 class as juniors. Lots of agents warned many juniors at many positions to come out in 2010. That maybe why the 2011 draft class will be so watered down.

I believe ALLEN STILL LEADS THE DOLPHINS WITH 3 INT

Jason Allen single Handily lost the game for them a week ago.

Hindsight ain't 20/20 it's more like shyt in one hand and want in another.

Just finish watching the game, Allen has time to show his true colors!!!!

GM,

Dont know what region in the country youre from but in the south I have seen lots of Mark Ingram like I got to see lots of Emmitt Smith.

Read My Lips: "Mark Ingram is the real thing." No doubts about it!

lets just hope we score a TD sunday lol

ODIN, WHY DO YOU DISMISS ALLEN MOST OF THE TIME WHEN HE HAD 3 INT ,TALK ABOUT DANSBY AND SEAN SMITH .

ON SUNDAY , WE WILL WIN ,SOME THING HAS CHANGED LATELY,THE DOLPHIN PLAYERS THEY KNOW THERE'S NO PLAYOFFS AND THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE MORE FUN PLAYING AND HENNE HAS MORE CONFIDENCE .

Dying - you are entitled to disagree with me, but as well I don't know what part of the country you are from. Your opinion would be clearer with grammatically correct English. In terms of the fins, I wouldn't use a high round pick on him, that's all.

GM,

If Mark Ingram were to become a dolphin I guarrantee you'll see far more 20-25yd runs than you've ever seen with Ronnie Brown. He does have enough speed to take them to the house but you wouldnt see that with Chris Johnson-like regularity.

Mark Ingram is the real deal and that isnt my opinion thats pure fact buddy!

ALLEN HAS 4 INT,2 VS FAVRE, 1 VS ROGERS AND ONE VS VICK ..NICE

Aloco,

1. He was a number one pick.

2. He was given every possible opportunity at every possible position in the secondary.

3. Even when he was playing his best ball, he routinely missed tackles, plain fell down and ALWAYS gave up big plays.

Those three int's were nice, but ultimately too little too late.

Jason Allen = BUST!!!!

ANOTHER TD COMING UP BY THE MASTER VICK

GM,

Good god dude,

Do you watch the NFL or just some fantasy in your head?

Allen is not the greatest DB but he was serviceable and worth keeping for the remainder of this season.

Roth starts and grades out quite well for the Browns. The Dolphin line will have to account for him on Sunday.

And you think BM is garbage? Your in fantasyland. Or all the rest of the coaches and players who are actually in the league are wrong and your right. Right.

You are quite pedantic.

WHAT DANSBY DID SO FAR THIS YEAR FOR 8.5 MILLION ?

GM,

Wow... Looks like wees got urnselves enother one dem dare professhinil anglish major sezzing about correct grammas and all.

Do yourself and allzin the rest of us a favor and take your picture perfect grammar and shove it up your a s s! Havent you noticed this is a football blog and not the valdictorian honor society.
