The Seer, yes I do. They fixed a defense that was a disaster last year to a solid unit this year. No reason they shouldnt be given tje same opportunity this off season to fix the holes at offense. 1-15 three years ago, they have done a good job in rebuilding IMO

no way we keep ronnie brown

boulderfinfan,

I can never see us making a SB with Ronnie Brown as a starting rb. Backup maybe but not as our starter. RB status has fallen to borderline starter at best.

I always though drafting Brown 2nd overall was a HUGE reach. He wasnt even the best rb on his own team(Cadillac Williams) Makes you look back and say "What were they thinking?"

We need to blow this whole thing up. Stephen Ross needs to look at all the empty seats today. (I was there. There were many empty seats.) And Ross needs to hear the fans booing. Sparano needs to go, Ireland needs to go, and most or all of the staff needs to go. Ross needs to find his guy to run this program. Get Bill Cowher. Get Grudin. Get your guy, Stephen Ross!

well gentleman, i am out, gonna watch this Pitt-Balt game.

Next question.
Who do you have representing the AFC and NFC in the Superbowl?

boulderfinfan,

Ricky Williams is in over his 10th season as a pro rb and still has far more burst than Ronnie Brown and is a much smarter runner too. Brown his bordering on pathetic when considering what his draft status was.

WOW...........................

Defense is not the problem. My draft next year would be:
1. QB
2. RB
3. Center
4. TE
4. Guard
5. Guard
6. Tackle

Chad Henne wasnt drafting until the 2nd rd. Ronnie Brown was drafted 2nd overall. If you wanna consider who could be the bigger bust. Hands down its Ronnie Brown!!!

It didnt take this game and hennes pitiful performance to know this season WAS already over to begin with, NOW i dont give a sh#t honestly about this year, but WE MUST HAVE have a high draft pick for next year and 6-10 will give us at least a top 12 pick, Cant say theirs alot of QB talent out there, hope we look at the market for 2012 or pick a QB in the draft by then, we'll definately have this year and most likely next year to try and salvage a franchise that has indeed reverted back to just plain BAD and boring to watch. Sorry henne, cant defend you anymore, you show up one week and absolutely drop off in the next...You have no consistancy but you are the best QB on this roster(UNFORTUNATLEY)i could care less weather Morono pulls the plug on him for the season or lets him play out the year becuase it makes no difference....GOODBYE HENNE, GOOD RIDDENCE HENNING, Bills show more offensive life than this team shows in five games combined.....Totally pathetic effort and the coaches , players, and Mr. SB sayer ROSS himself should just about want to puke on each other right now, god knows most fans do!!!!!!

yes the empty seats is what ross cares about. if they go 1-3 rest of year, which i think they will, then head coach is gone

JOKE OF THRE DAY:

Defense is not the problem. My draft next year would be:
1. QB
2. RB
3. Center
4. TE
4. Guard
5. Guard
6. Tackle

For one we one be in draft position to select one of the overhyped elite qb's 1st rd. Secondly, what rock did you just come from under? We dont even own a 2nd rd pick. LOL

They have a L-O-N-G way to go before we ever have an offense that can compete with the Jets and the Pats. Is there anyone out there that can get the fins back to the playoffs?

Defenses that are playing SB caliber football MAKE INTERCEPTIONS when they have the opportunity!!! These guys don't

I wonder if Ross has the nads to make the tough decisions regarding the gm and the hc? Which will effect who plays qb.

Maybe the only way Ross gets it is if we all boycott the fins and stop supporting the crap product they have put on the field. Lets ask for our money back after all didn't he gaurantee a SB?

Stick a fork in it, this season is done!!

Next to last observation I have had all I can take of a Sporano presser telling us his band of brothers are improving I am not buying that crap anymore!

I got a news flash for ya Henne has not improved AT ALL!

CYA

signed gonnacryinmybeeragaincauseiusedtobeafinsfanwhenwehadagr8hcandqb

WE NEED A QBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

Today is the day I officially give up on Chad Henne. And Thigpen is even worse. Did you see where Derek Hagan had 7 receptions today? The best thing that can happen to a Dolphin is to get cut so he can go play on a good team...

This draft is loaded with solid d-linemen. Too bad that isnt a critical need area for us. If we get Mark Ingram, and not having a 2nd rd pick, it could be our only opportunity to come out of the 2011 draft with a good players.

Im sorry some of you dont realize this. I have already done the homework.

rb, yea ronnie brown has been bad. I'm not sure if he;s a bust. I mean who would you have picked? EDwards? Really brown was the most logical pick for saban at the time. But he has been a bust. We desparatley need to draft a rb in the next draft. But keep brown as back up.

DEZ BRYANT IS DONE FOR THE YEAR ,WAS PUT ON THE IR FOR FRACTURED ANKLE .

brown wont stay as a backup nor will he accept backup pay. im glad hes gone

Boulderfinfan,

How in the hell can you justify picking a rb 2nd overall that isnt even the best rb on his own team? This is what puzzled me to no ends that year.

TODAY RICKY RAN WAY BETTER THAN R.BROWN ,RONNIE IS CONCERED ABOUT GETTING INJURED IN A CONTRACT YEAR .

Even though he's yet to play an nfl down Mark Ingram is already better than 2/3 of current nfl rb's. Brown is middle of the pack just giving him benifit of the doubt.

well dying he def was the best rb on his team, c.williams has been awful

I think we should fire sparano and hire Cam Cameron as HC :-)

ALoco,

Ricky has always and still his a better rb than Brown. Ricky's just to old to carry the load now. Ronnie mostly plays like his brain is in alcohol induced coma.

He may not have actually been drinking when charge with a dui. Just food for thought. LOL

There is no excuse for the o-line bad play.

It should be the best group of players with Sparano having so much o-line coaching experience.

Sparano should take the blame for their inconsistency.

I agree oline has been playing terrible. And Carey what happened there?

I think we should fire sparano and hire Cam Cameron as HC :-)

Boulder - Why not Waanstadt ?

Jury's still out on the oline blocking to me until I see what a back like Mark Ingram does behind it.

Aloco, You do realize that even if that was true about brown not wanting to be injured again and playing conservatively(which is BS) , you cannot say its becuase of a contract year, there will BE no contracts made after this season since lockout is all but short of being pushed for next year, ronnie is pretty much on the verge of calling it a career or becoming a permenant backup RB if not a 3rd down back!!!

Why not Dick Jouron as HC????!!!!

When you have a 235lb rb getting consistently getting tackled by a 195lb cb one on one you cant blame that on oline blocking.

Guys be serious, when was the last time you saw Ronnie Brown break a tackle period?

HOW YOU KNOW ALL THAT SUPERPHIN, THERE WILL FOTBALL NEXT YEAR .THE NFL ISN'T DUMB AS BASEBALL IS .AS FOR R.BROWN CALL A CAREER ,YOU R DREAMING OR WHAT ,HE STILL A YOUNG GUY .

R.BROWN KNOWS THIS TEAM ISN'T GOING ANY WHERE SO WHY SHOULD HE RISK HIS CONTRACT YEAR W/AN INJURY ?

I bet we can get RB for less than 4 million/year. That's what Ricky is getting as a backup. Then we also draft a RB. I doubt we keep ricky. I'm sure he can find someone to over pay him.

Another thing about Ronnie Brown I wonder if you guys ever noticed. If allowed to bring up about a 10-15yd head of steam, instead of focusing on picking up more yardage. He purposely seeks out a smaller db to truck.

If he get slightly into open field and sees he about to be crunched by a linebacker, instead of taking him on he crumples under to brace him not to take the full absorbence of the hit.

What a wuss Ronnie Brown is. He's only good with wide open lanes to run through. So is my grandmother.

Ive seen ronnie run ppl over when he first came to town even during 2007 of that debacle year, but you could tell since then he is hesitant and he is VERY careful when he carries the football now he plays dances with the wolves at the line almost twice as much, partly due to the wildplaykiller and its sheme but also due to browns unwillingness to push through holes more agressively and down hill power his way up the line he use to do.

Im doing the following if im GM immediately after the season: Give Henning his retirenment papers, cutting crowder as his zero big plays and 23 tackles this year wont be missed.... letting ronnie go, sign ricky to another year...

Dont know about any of you guys but I couldnt stand another season seeing Ronnie Brown as a Dolphin even in a backup role. But if Henning's still here Brown will still be here to run his precious "wildcat".

The curse of the 2nd round pick QB.

>Marshall should shut his pie hole.
pie hole????????

You're 14, right?

'Henne's Useless' is Useless.

drafting a running back is a waste. its all about the O line....just look at Hillis. we need a play making line backer to go along with Dansby and Wake. Crowder is all talk no action.

DB,

Your thought is that a good/great RB could do well with our existing o-line?

Which o-linemen would you keep or get rid of?

I don't believe we have any good pulling guard.

SUPERPHIN , YOUR LAST 2 POSTS ARE OPPOSITE EACH OTHER M WHAT GIVES ?

Aloco, are you kidding, NFLPA is encouraging players to not try and reach for big money contracts right now and to keep what they've earned after this year, does that sound like football next year to you???? And brown may be young but his sweet steps and bulling ppl over are behind him, and he will RECIEVE no big contract from any team after this year, i can promise you that as in Money in the Bank style.

The weak link is vernon Carey. he like crowder are average...which is what Miami is.

Crowder's primary problem the last two seasons has been staying healthy. I guarantee you put Mark Ingram behind this present oline and he runs for 1000yds his rookie season.

Dansby had only 3 tackles today because Cleveland gameplanned to run at the sub backer(Dobbins). Dobbins had 7 tackles.

When Crowder is in teams choose to run right Dansby to try and negate his great lateral quickness. Thats why Crowder's tackle output is much lower. Teams are choosing to run more at Dansby.

SUPERPHIN , THAT'S A TCTIC FROM THE NFLPA TO GET THE FANS ON THEIR SIDE ,,IT'S ALL AN ACT .THE NFL MAKING SO MUCH MONEY IT WOULD BE AS KRAFT THE PATS OWNER PUT IT ,( A CRIMINAL TO NOT HAVE FOOTBALL NEXT YEAR ) .

Swamy,

We have no critical need areas on the oline. We do have upgradable areas but no critical needs. Anyone not named Jake Long is upgradable.

A QB is a must: Henne has shown no improvement at all. Still tossing picks, still winging balls right into the line. He's never going to be the answer here. He's had nearly two seasons to show something, any sign that he's starting to really "get it", but it isn't happening. Pennington is finished and Thigpen is merely a back-up and always will be. Sad to see how Miami has become this QB black hole of suckitude for so long, I mean when Pennington and Fiedler are the two best QB's you've had in a decade it's pretty depressing.

Nope, not contrasting in posts aloco, simply stating ronnie is not miamis future , just present for another 5 games before career flashes before his eyes and he needs to honestly look himself in the mirror to decide if he can even play at a high level anymore(which i dont think he can)or is he becoming the chad pennington Of RBS....

From reading some of these post, if some of us were GM the Fins would be in far worse shape than they are today. LOL

SUPER @ 9;58 ...THAT MAKE SENSE

Well, maybe I'm in the minority,,,no I KNOW I'm in the minority but I believe the coaching staff, especially henning and ST's that is the problem.
Henne can make big time throws (remember the Jets games last year?
However, mentally he's in the tank due to Henning's blunders. He runs for a first down, and what does Henning do? Pulls Henne for the Wildcat.
Sparano has this team uptight. Why else can't they win at home?

I say lose Ireland last game of the season, hire Bobby Beatherd, or steal Ozzie Newsome from the Ravens, can this coaching staff (unless the new HC will keep Nolan and the D-line coach), draft a QB, sign 3 free agent RB's, and draft a TE, wideout with speed, an inside LB and a complimentary DE for pass rush.
RB's do not need to be drafted. Look how many are stars as FA's.

Dan Woodstrock,

Just because something is a must does not mean it is available. We have one 1st rd pick and nothing else until 3rd rd. The 1st rd pick has to be a homerun or our entire 2011 draft can be screwed. This is a weak draft class to boot.

Would ANY QB with four years or less experience have done ANY BETTER playing behind our O-LINE and Henning calling the game?

IMAWRITE ...VERY NICE POST......AGREE

All I want for Christmas is a new QB who's not an interception machine,...a new, coherent O coordinator, and two NEW receiver coaches, one to teach our ball catchers how to get SEPARATION,..the other to teach our greasy handed DBs how to CATCH THE BALL!! ..oh....an 'Ed Reed' kinda guy would be nice too......oghhhh..soooo tired of the blah blah blah. Mr. Sparano.....ty for the effort,...but.....like many others,..you're just 'an assistant coach'. KC, St. Louis,...Cleveland,.and.(I'm sorry fellow fans),..the Patriots. How,..HOW are these teams so much better....so fast? It's shitty drafting and shitty coaching. We all know it. Sorry gang, had to vent.

ARMANDO COMING SOON W/ A NEW POST ABOUT DRAFTING NEW QB

From reading some of these post, if some of us were GM the Fins would be in far worse shape than they are today. LOL

Posted by: DyingBreed | December 05, 2010 at 09:59

True , but i might risk a fan GM right now just to experiment with it for the rest of the season....HOW could it hurt us????,with our playoff chances???? *lmao*

Young qb's need guys to step up and make plays around them. This means offense, defense, and st's. All of these things have been primary reasons why we have lost games this year.

Losing is a team effort just like losing is. Every starter on this team needs to look himself in the mirror and say, "I'm the reason why we lost today". Stop looking for one person to pin the blame on.

Nobody made a game changing play today!!!
