COWHER AND A REVITALIVED CARSON PALMER WOULD BE OUR ULTIMATE TICKET NEXT SEASON! LOL...............
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 05:17 PM
i think Parcells is being left off the hook tooo easy here. He is the main reason for everything that is taking place yet he is able to sneak out the back door and leave the mess he created..........................sad. His "legacy" should be equally tarnished with what he clearly engineered, putting the final nail in the coffin of a once proud franchise. He should be forever tied to what he did.

i would take palmer if fully healthy. i think injuries have taken their toll on him.
Posted by: dolphin 77 | December 26, 2010 at 05:18 PM
This loss was almost too perfect as a microcosm of the Dolphins' habitual weaknesses. We settled for another field goal. The utter meltdown then began with poor punt coverage, giving Detroit possession at midfield. The 2 INTs were almost predictable, as was the ridiculous attempt at a 2-minute drill. I've supported Henne-- in part because I don't see a good alternative under any scenario-- but he has surely failed to demonstrate creativity, athleticism or even basic good judgement. Better times don't appear to be coming anytime soon. I'm thankful I got to witness the glory years.

You guys are brilliant!...let's blow everything up and next year it will be better. How EXACTLY? DC, I think you cited the '08 Dolphins and '09 Jets as two teams that this worked for but show me where this has had long-lasting results? The Jets are going to squeak into the playoffs again this year but they sold their futures to get there and they won't scare anybody in the playoffs this year. Does anybody really think Mark Sanchez is the answer at QB.
The reality is that you guys are likely going to get your wish and everything will be blown up. The reality also is that we'll be having these same conversations next year and whether it's Locker or Newton or Mallett, you'll all be slagging Dolphins management for drafting one of these guys. You want change but your never happy with the guys we end up with.

INIMOUNTS,
THEN YOU BETTER RE-EXAMINE YOUR COMMITTMENT TO US EVER HAVING A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM ANYWHERE IN THE NEAR SEASON. PALMER HAS TWO OF THE BIGGEST ASS-JERKS IN THE LEAGUE AS WR IN OCHO CINCO AND TO.
ARE YOU F^CKING KIDDING ME? LOL.............
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 05:19 PM
Plays great for 90% of the game and then implodes in the last few minutes, time and time again? It's in his head. Who put it there? Henning. Henning! HENNING!!! At least let some other Dolphins coaching staff have a chance at fixing Chad Henne's head before New England picks him up for nothing, plugs him into their system, and makes another All-Pro out of a former Michigan QB in a couple of years.
Posted by: Jefferson | December 26, 2010 at 05:20 PM
aloco, henne is not going to be there.
Posted by: dolphin 77 | December 26, 2010 at 05:20 PM
Eli Manning still makes a lot of the same mistakes as Henne.... difference is he has a much more talented offense around him even with the injuries they've suffered. For sure bring in a new coaching staff and a QB to compete, but those fools who think that the lack of speed and WRs being tightly covered are on Henne plain don't understand anything about football. Marino was looking pretty lousy at the end with an ultra-conservative coach that surrounded him with no talent. I am not comparing Henne to Marino, of course, but let's add more pieces on O with better playcalling and we can make a better determination on the QB, especially with WRs/TEs running wrong patterns or slipping. When you don't have speed on O and no separation, every throw is like threading a needle... very low margin for error!!!
Posted by: CanesRUs | December 26, 2010 at 05:20 PM
THAT'S why parcells can't wait to go to another team...cause he knows he did a s@#ty job for us..
Posted by: BLACKCEROTE | December 26, 2010 at 05:21 PM
U can't fault the Fins for taking Long with the 1st pick...the guy is a stud.
I havent been too disappointed with our drafts either. The talent on the O-Line and obviously at the QB position is something to be discussed though. A lot of money spent on that o-line over the past couple of years.

Sparono for losers
Belicheck for winners
Henne for losers
Tom Brady For winners
Henning for losers
Belicheck for winners
Miami Dolphins for losers
New England Patriots for winners

Rpost of Homes post from 3 days ago. This guy cracks me up!
The Miami Dolphins SUCK
Period
Blah, Blah, Blah
It was a must win game w Playoff intentions
The old stubborn mule called for the Wildcrap on 2nd and 10 in the 4th Q when Henne finally had the hot hand and was throwing consistently and accurately
Henning is an old stubborn fool, who lost many games trying to prove his Wildcrap was still the way to go
or trying to pound the rock w an offensive line that can only pass block
Grand total rushing TDs for the Miami Dolphins including the Wildcrap was 6 rushing TDs all F!@#ing season
So the Jackass can run his mouth all he wants, but Henning & Sparano w all there talk about being self proclaimed O-line development gurus and the team must run to win, brought us SHIET!
Henning & Sparano are to blame
Period
and the team they put together on offense SUCKED
Period
Huge disappointment
Huge Let Down
Let me know when these (LMAO!)offensive coaching geniuses get fired
As for Home
Heard enuff of Blah, Blah, Blah
If u knew the problem
Then your job which u r grossly over payed to find a solution for, was not done
Blah, Blah, Blah
Home needs a breathe mint for his ear when he listens to this shiet talk
Fire them both
Period

Guys, Missed the game, How bad was Henne,Henning(Play calling)Sporano's coaching?????
Posted by: Cuban Menace | December 26, 2010 at 05:22 PM
I disagree Craig. Sanchez has gotten his team into the Playoffs twice (if they make it this year, which now might not happen after their loss). Can't ask anymore of a young QB.
You can't be hating on Sanchez and defending Henne, can you? Think about that bro.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 26, 2010 at 05:22 PM
Henne will be here, guaranteed
Posted by: bobbyd12 | December 26, 2010 at 05:22 PM
CRAIGM,
COWHER MAYBE OUR BEST CHANCE OF WINNING NEXT YEAR WITHOUT BLOWING EVERYTHING UP NEXT YEAR.
SPARANO CLEARLY ISNT A GAMEDAY COACH SO HOW CAN WE MOVE FORWARD WITH HIM. HENNING WILL RETIRE AND HENNE ISNT THE FUTURE. REPLACING THOSE 3 THINGS ISNT BLOWING EVERYTHING UP! LOL.........
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 05:22 PM
DC, great post a ways back, but disagree here.
IOf course, i have NO standing (not even in my own household) but I lobbied for Ryan back when when most were drinking the parcells KoolAid and thinking bigger was better.
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 26, 2010 at 05:23 PM
this teams drafts have been weak!!!!!!!
1.jake long was a solid pick but we couldve had a franchise qb instead
2. chad henne bust
3.merling is weak
4.odrick is injury prone probably a bust
5. john jerry bust
6. Patt freaking White BUST
7. Turner- where the heck is he?
Ireland should be the first out the door followed by henning and henne
Sparano is a weak gameday coach, the second half always sucks because while other teams make solid adjustments sparano doesnt.
he plays checkers while the league plays chess.
Good guy but you live and die by your record 1-7 at home doesnt cut it.
Posted by: LP | December 26, 2010 at 05:23 PM
Don't draft a QB, that's not the answer. New OC, sign a veteran QB, draft O-Line...see you in the playoffs.
Posted by: mg | December 26, 2010 at 05:24 PM
guarnteed he won't!
Posted by: dolphin 77 | December 26, 2010 at 05:24 PM
Keep Henne, pick up a free agent and draft our first QB with a first round pick since 83. It's a QB driven league and we've got to take a gamble. As far as Sparano I like the guy's fire and think the team plays hard for him. He may just be an unfortunate casualty. Would love Harbaugh if available. He's gotten an academically elite school to #3 in the country.
Posted by: Chris in the 623 | December 26, 2010 at 05:25 PM
Cuban, dude, you don't wanna know. He was ok (still tentative) in the 1st half. And then when Henning went into his prevent offense mode, Henne choked and threw 2 picks (including a pick-6) in the last 6 min.
Then, as the final KICKER, with :19 sec left, this yahoo passes to Ronnie Brown for 1 yd with a defender right there who didn't let him get out of bounds and the game ended. SHAMEFUL!!
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 26, 2010 at 05:25 PM
Locker is NOT Mark, Locker is not nearly as accurate as Foles from Arizona.
Locker will NOT go in the 1st.
It will be Luck, Mallet, Cam, and MAYBE Foles.
Just my IMO, of course.
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 26, 2010 at 05:26 PM
This rebiuld is going to a little bit longer than we would perfer. It appears to be a 2-phase rebuild. Stop-gap improvements in the form of available veteran player we pluged in to both the defence and offence. A new culture, attitude and mindset was put into place. Second phase is apparent in the new defence this year. Next year, the offence. This evolution should also included the evaluation of the coaches. Indeed, some of them were stopgap positions...next level, Cowher or Gruden with up grades simular to the offence simular to the defence this year. Draft a quarterback, add a speed wideout, add in blood in the running game, add new blood to O-line, and more speed, speed, speed.
Posted by: MojoMark | December 26, 2010 at 05:26 PM
BOBBYD12,
IM NOT AGAINST HENNE BEING HERE NEXT SEASON AS A BACKUP. WE NEED A STARTER. COWHER/CARSON PALMER IS THE TICKET FOR NEXT SEASON.
PALMER'S AT LEAST A HUGE UPGRADE OVER HENNE AND ISNT IN THE COMPLETE TWILIGHT OF HIS CAREER. DRAFTING A ROOKIE QB ONLY INVITE THE SAME GROWING PAINS PRESENTLY UNDER HENNE.
I CANT TAKE THIS BS ANYMORE! LOL............
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 05:26 PM
the only way henne stays is if he is demoted to waterboy.
Posted by: dolphin 77 | December 26, 2010 at 05:28 PM
Sparono trying to learn new tricks
Belicheck is all but short of making book of new tricks
Henning uses 1964 playbook
Belicheck uses 2010 playbook
Sparono makes excuses when losing to bad teams at home
people question if Belicheck likes to run up score on teams...bad and good equally
Which is better i wonder?

GEESH LOL................

IMAWriter,
I think you'll find that Jake Locker is almost a lock for being picked in the 1st.
The guy must have done something right to be considered a 1st rounder

IMAWriter,
I also did'nt say i wanted Miami to draft Locker,i was just saying that if Sparano keeps his job,he has to make a huge decision regarding Henne. Sparano has already benched him once this season and none of us would put money on Sparano keeping Henne as the starter nex season.
A guy under huge pressure to deliver will make very rash decisions so just saying with Luck and Mallett being picked ahead of us,maybe Locker could be the pick.

SPARANO NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO MANAGE A GAME. IT'S BEEN THE SAME BS GAME IN AND GAME OUT NOW. CANT BELIEVE SOME ARE SAYING RETAIN SPARANO. HIS GAMEDAY MANAGEMENT IS DEPLORABLE! LOL.....................
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 05:31 PM
Blowing everything up is NOT the answer.
1) Get K. Orton - reliable, more talented Pennighton type QB
2) Rebuild O-line through draft
3) Draft a project QB in 4/5 round
4) New OC and possibly promote Nolan to HC
5) pick up a change of pace guy on offense draft or FA
All very doable and cheap. I don't think we are that far off. Henne and the OC killed us this year
Posted by: mg | December 26, 2010 at 05:32 PM
HEY SPARANO, YOU'VE GOT 8 DAYS LEFT UNTIL YOU'RE UNEMPLOYED.
Posted by: The Fat Italian Must Go, Fire The Head Coach | December 26, 2010 at 05:32 PM
yeah craig m, i didnt say the 1-15 team was fun,so dont change others words, i said they had no talent, this years team had no heart, period. when they were 1-15 that was suppose to be our rebuilding era so you knew not much was gonna happen. this year was after 3-4 years of the parcell project, which turned into more of a scam.Im not sold on this denfense either, its hads it moments of pure meltdown down as well. Todays game was a perfect example, they let the lions score and then henne had his meltdown but it started with poor play by the secondary which showed signs the entire game of this coming. Our defensive line is great but our secondary is not that good.Oh and there is no way this staff can come back or the home season tix holders will boycott. GO MIAMI 2014!

hey, how about jack del rio? lol
Posted by: dolphin 77 | December 26, 2010 at 05:33 PM
How come there weren't the same cries for Sparano to be fired last year, with such an anemic defence out there? Because he's an offensive coach? You guys do realize he is the HEAD coach and not the coach calling the plays or working with the quarterback, right? He oversees the whole operation. So none of us like Henning, correct? We think he's the problem and should be gone, correct? How do we expect Henne to get any better if we don't like the OC and we don't think he's right for the job? Could it be that he's doing a lousy job developing Henne? Could it be that Henne needs a new OC to work with, someone who trusts him more, who will open the offence up for him more, who will encourage him more and stop putting him into 3rd and long situations?
We did very little to help our offence and Henne last offseason. Marshall and Jerry....that's IT!! There needs to be changes made to the personnel on offence this season and there needs to be a new strategist. To get get rid of Henne at this point and spend ANOTHER high draft pick is a complete waste, not to mention it won't help the team next season. If we're not going to get any better for NEXT season why did we go out and sign Dansby? He's going to be an old man before a rookie QB is able to be competent in this league. The thinking makes no sense!
Posted by: Craig M | December 26, 2010 at 05:33 PM
Back on topic....
If I'm Nolan, I get out of town now, assuring him an equal, or better position before the blood letting. I don't believe Ross will choose Nolan as HC. If he does, well then....
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 26, 2010 at 05:34 PM
DC, Glad I missed it.........
Posted by: Cuban Menace | December 26, 2010 at 05:34 PM
SPARANO NEEDS TO GO SOMEWHERE AND AT LEAST BECOME AN OC. PEOPLE OLINE COACHES DONT NEED GAME MANAGEMENT SKILLS.
SPARANO IS NOT AN HC! LOL..............
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 05:34 PM
I was just looking at the standings and there are so many bad teams that we won't even get a high pick with our record, we will probably pick 15th or 16th. To late for a QB. I don't know if Ross will pay the 10 or 12 million for Cowher, and really, Cowher never did that much. He kepted a black, gay QB for years that couldn't win. And the Super Bowel win against the Seahawks was a gift from the ref's.
Posted by: Phin4Life | December 26, 2010 at 05:35 PM
Please, please dont bring in a veteran QB for next season. How many stop gap average veteran QB's are we gonna go through?
Miami either needs to stick with Henne or draft a QB in the 1st
NO to Palmer
NO to McNabb
Posted by: Mark | December 26, 2010 at 05:36 PM
SINCE SO MANY HERE LIKE STATS LIKE "NO SB WINNING COACH HAS RETURNED TO WIN A SB WITH ANOTHER TEAM. TRY THIS STAT:
NO POSITION COACH TURNED HC HAS NEVER EVEN WON A PLAYOFF GAME. SEEMS SPARANO IS VERY CONSISTENT WITH THAT. LOL............
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 05:36 PM
Dont worry DB, You always will have the doubters here that want nothing to change, their just accustomed to nothing but losing and hoping for the best next year, good news is most ppl here Know that changes NEED AND MUST BE made regardless of how we move foward...and it will begin in one more week if ROSS has any sense of selling this team for next year.

In fact McCRAP is what we have been served all year by Sporano, Henning, Henne and Sp. Tms/coach! Nolan is the only bright spot. Gosh Darn, this Fin team is really just s--t.
CLEAN HOUSE ROSS! If you don't, you will never have a contender as long as you live.

Our running game was much better last year, and we DID add Marshall...that's the whole point. It was suppose to take the pressure off the running game. So to me, this is a problem.
Not to mention that you would think Henne would mature a little more with another year and preseason under his belt.
Posted by: mg | December 26, 2010 at 05:38 PM
Yep SuperPhin, just like the change with Jimmy, the change with Wanny, the change with Cameron, the change with Saban, YEA that's all worked out just Soooo Well. We have had such success with change we need to change again, that's the answer.
