The Entire team, defense included, collapsed cause subconsciously & conscious;y actually they were sending Ross a message:

WHY WOULD ANYBODY SUPPORT TONY SPARANO AT THIS POINT ? ANYWAY IT DOESN'T MATTER AT THIS POINT. ROSS HAS TO MAKE CHANGES TO SELL SEASON TICKETS. TONY THE FAT SLOB/QUARTERBACK KILLER WILL BE RUNNING A PIZZA JOINT IN NEW HAVEN NEXT YEAR. CHEERING DOLPHINS FIELD GOALS WITH A PIZZA MENU IN HAND. PEOPLE FORGET HOW BRILLIANT CHAD HENNE LOOKED IN 2009. SPARANO ABSOLUTELY RUINED CHAD HENNE. SEEMS AS THOUGH EVERYONE IN THE WORLD GETS THAT EXCEPT DOLPHINS FANS. FIRE SPARANO A.S.A.P.

superPHIN,
Why do you doubt that Sparano would bring in a top notch OC, next year? Did he not do that with the defence this year with Nolan, one of the best in the game? I believe Ross will insist on it, if there's even a chance that Sparano will be back.
DB, I am coming around a little bit to your thinking about Carson Palmer for next year. I'm not a huge fan and I don't even know if he can win the big game any more but I'm all for giving Henne competition for next year. My only problem is, isn't Palmer under contract next years with the Bengals. I'm not in favour of trading draft picks for him.

The pick 6 the WR slipped..... the ball was where the WR was supposed to be.... modern passing game is about timing and the pass has to be thrown before the WR gets to the spot.... the main problem in our passing game is that the WRs are too slow and that allows defenders to sit on the routes... any mistake is a possible INT. Lack of separation = Easier INTs!!!!! The TE pass that was intercepted, I have no idea if the TE stopped before getting going again or if it's purely on the QB. Shuler has not been involved in the passing game till this game.

Speaking of Michigan QB's:
Brady fired his 309th straight pass without an interception during the third quarter of Sunday’s game in Buffalo.

The absolute final insult,
I've defended Henne all year, no more.
Against this crew, up by ten and lose by ten, unforgivable.
Heads have and should roll.
This team has no pride purpose or direction, as high paid as they are, they should be ashamed to take the pay cheque.
BASTAGES.

Canes, thanks for the compliment.
McCreet, we're all frustrated. Only thing is sometimes things aren't as bad as we think. Think of just how bad that defence was last year. Missed tackles by Wilson and Ayodele, too many plays off by Crowder and Porter, a worn down Jason Tayor, blown coverages in the secondary. It's much improved next year and I expect it to be even better next year with the return of Odrick and Merling and the develpoment of Solai. That's what our offence could be next year. Imagine if Fasano was a complimentary TE next year instead of the main guy. Imagine if we had some young 24-25 year old stud running the ball next year, coupled with one of the vets. Imagine if there was another WR for Henne to throw to. Imagine if there was some creatvity with the play-calling. It's all possible for next season.

THE D DID HAVE 2 BAD OUTINGS EQUALLING 14PTS. BUT STILL THEY ONLY ALLOWED 256 TOTAL YDS TODAY TO HIGHLY RESPECTED OC SCOTT LINEHAN.
SURE......... LETS BLAME THE DEFENSE. WASNT IT THE PICK 6 THAT LOST THE GAME? LOL.........

For some reason...at least right now, if Ross announced Sean Payton was the new Fins coach, I'd just feel like "why get my hopes up AGAIN?"
I promise y'all I WILL not get excited about whomever takes over...UNLESS we get an EXPERIENCED, PROVEN GM unafraid to pull the trigger, instead of always going for the "safe" pick.

IMA, now you're learning brotha. I'm right there with you. We could get Peyton Manning next year and I'd STILL think we'd find a way to lose. I'm not gonna believe until we've won the division, won the championship game and are IN THE SUPERBOWL. And then...maybe!

Happy New Year to ALL...we may sometimes...OK, OFTEN disagree, but hopefully we ALL bleed our crappy colors. The smiling Dolphin HAS to go, though.
I suppose, if any of us were destined to become HC's in thye NFL or GMN's we would be.
But we're NOT.
However, you don't have a rotting fish slammed up your nose to smell that it is putrid.
I feel our players, especially on defense have given their all, and for that I'm they are to be commended.
Our HC has proven his ignorance regarding game management, player assessment, and QB handling.
His defense of Henning is indefensible.
If Ross does not let Tony go, fans need to make their displeasure known.
Again, Happy New Year to all. lets focus all our energies on wishing the Jets into a VERY bad place.
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 26, 2010 at 06:35 PM
What this franchise needs is a leader. We need somebody that the players all trust. a face that pops into a casual fans head when you mention this team. You can see how this translates to our squad. There is no leadership what so ever. If this leader is a new head coach, or a franchise quarterback, or running back whatever. We need a guy that the team can get behind and beleive in when it is the fourth quarter. Or when we have hit a down spell. I will say that this team hasn't appeared to quit. But rah-rah only gets you beat. I don't know how far the F.O. will go this offseason. A lot of me says that it would be irresponsible to sell the farm to pick up a quaterback. Part of me wouldn't be shocked or angry. We will have to wait and see

Tell that fat carpetbagger Parcells to go ruin someone elses team next year - maybe the Patriots are looking for a new GM?

CRAIGM,
CINCY DRAFTS TOP 5 FOR SURE THIS YEAR. MOST LIKELY THEY DRAFT A QB. MAYBE WE COAX THEM INTO A STRAIGHT UP RONNIE FOR CARSON PALMER TRADE IF BROWN WOULD SIGN OFF ON IT. LOL...........

I'd like to see Ross throw some of his money at Tony Dungy = he is guy everyone respects. If not what about fat Rex's even fatter brother Rob? Imagine those two fatties going head to head - at least it wouldn't be boring
Posted by: jayhall222 | December 26, 2010 at 06:40 PM
How many of you would be for a straight up Carson Palmer for Ronnie Brown trade if he signed off on it?
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 06:40 PM
It puts the cube in the round opening.
It puts the cube in the round opening.
It puts the cube in the round opening.
I think if they put the cube in the round opening
just one more season, it will finally work.
What do you say?
Learning from mistakes is the first step in being a winner. It puts the cube in the round opening. Errrrrrrrrrrr! Mummy..

Bill Cowher, himself, said... (during a September visit)
"The Dolphins Practice VERY SIMILAR to the way the Steelers do."
So...
Their two philosophies are essentially the same.
Sparano got stuck with a Bad O.C.
Remember...It takes at least 4 years to fully evaluate a Head Coach.
If Cowher delays entering the market until 2012... then I might be open to the idea.
Statistics show that Teams that 'clean house'
every three years
NEVER WIN.

Posted by: standley23 | December 26, 2010 at 06:41 PM
ALoco is a total idiot. Mike Nolan took this defense from one of the worst defenses in the league last year to a top 5 defense this year. Your comments demonstrate that you could put all your football knowledge into a thimble and still have room for Rex Ryan. You're a real tool.
Posted by: Smarter than you | December 26, 2010 at 06:41 PM
I would - Brown sucks - so does Palmer... but not as bad as Henne - I'd rather have Ray Lucas than Henne
Posted by: jayhall222 | December 26, 2010 at 06:42 PM
Hard to believe there are still Henne/Sparano/Ireland supporters. What is it going to take for you to understand?
Posted by: cocoajoe | December 26, 2010 at 06:43 PM
If we could get Brown to sign off on a straight up trade for palmer and Cincy blesses it. Then we use our first pick to take rb Mark Ingram to begin the Cowher era. LOL..........
Posted by: DyingBreed | December 26, 2010 at 06:43 PM
There's mediocrity all through the league. How else to explain the Bengals trouncing the Chargers in a must win game for San Diego. Phillip Rivers a very medicore 19-28 for 187 yards, ZERO TDs and a pick. Eli Manning coming up short against the Packers in a very big game for them. David Garrard throwing a ket interception for the Jags in overtime. It's happening all over the league. It's not just us. The reality is the QB gets too much credit when things are going well and too much blame when things are going badly.
Posted by: Craig M | December 26, 2010 at 06:43 PM
WE BETTER SAY,CARSON PALMER SALARY IS 11.6 MILLION UNTIL 2014.
Posted by: ALoco | December 26, 2010 at 06:43 PM
What an embarrasing team to be a fan of. I don't even wear my Dolphins gear anymore because I don't want to be ridiculed. Henne is worthless and is a mirror image of the whole staff aside from Nolan. We have watched teams such as Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo go from bottom dwellers to exciting teams to watch with our help. Dolphins suck except for a handful of players.

This cancer has spread far beyond Henning........the entire regime must be excised.

Did Fist Pump ever once intervene, overrule, call his own play, etc. He enables Henning.
They ALL must go. Dull as dishwater football.

DB (if it really is DB),
Brown is a free agent at the end of this year. Your not going to be able to trade him for anything. He'll be free to walk away and do whatever he wants. If there's compensation need to bring in Palmer, then that's a road we should NOT travel.
Posted by: Craig M | December 26, 2010 at 06:47 PM
@cocoajoe:
Most of the Henne/Sparano/Ireland diehards are in New England & NYC.
Our FO is the gift that keeps on giving to the Jets & Pats.

Am I mistaken or is the sorry ass Carson Palmer 16-21 for 269yds and 4 td's against a team many predicted as a SB favorite? BTW the Bungles are also ahead 33-13 with less than 4 minutes to play.
Boy the Palmer sure is washed up! LOL..........
