PITTSBURGH -- Will I ever cover my own team in the AFC Championship game?
Please, someone answer me.
The Dolphins are not here. The comment i get most from writers from around the country covering this game is, "What the (bleep) is going on down there?"
My answer: "I do not know. I am not responsible."
I do know the Dolphins are not a total disaster. The Dolphins split two games with these Jets. The Dolphins lost by one point to Pittsburgh. They do not totally lack ability to compete.
Anyway, let's watch this game and see what team earns the right to play the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl. Let's see happens.
The live blog starts in the comments section below.

the steelers certainly put their foot down. They are stomping the rejets

Dolphins will not be on hard knocks.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | January 23, 2011 at 08:16 PM
We have no QB, no running backs (not signed anyway), no left guard, no right guard, no center and no speedy deep threat. And Armando, you wonder if we are really that bad. Well, I'm here to tell you that on offense, we are almost the worst in the NFL. In special teams, there is no doubt that we are the worst in the NFL. And sadly, we only draft at 15.

Armando,
What you like to rethink that "JET MODEL" that you thought the Dolphins should have pursued? LOL.....................

Don't count your chickens before they hatch Armando, the marketing genius Dee runs this team now and that would bring much excitement to the next season.

Ahhhhhh......
Very nice half!
Posted by: Po white trash | January 23, 2011 at 08:19 PM
Dying, I thought you saw part of it implemented last week. You saw a press conference for an OC. You saw a press release for a GM getting a contract extention.
You will see the Dolphins be very aggressive in UFA if there is one and I would not put it past Miami trading UP in the coming draft for once.
So the Dolphins doing it the Jets way ... I think that's fine.

Think you are right Mando....
Just sayin.

Posted by: ALoco | January 23, 2011 at 08:20 PM
Mando. What are they going to use to trade up?
Posted by: severinno | January 23, 2011 at 08:20 PM
ALoco,
Are you nuts? Based on the FACT that Cutler appeared in a conference championship today. Given the awful choice of he and Henne, I would choose Cutler based on conference championship appearance alone!
Anymore totally off the wall questions? LOL............
Posted by: DyingBreed | January 23, 2011 at 08:21 PM
Armando...I've taken a lot of heat on the blog recently. Question, considering everything, can you think of a worse year since this teams inception?

Posted by: ALoco | January 23, 2011 at 08:29 PM
Armando,
I fine with some of the things the Jets did except for over-mortgaging the future the future to win now. That I would not like to see the Fins do.
Im fine with being more agressive, but not overly agressive to the point it ends up hurting more than it helps.

Pretty sad my football Enjoyment is reduced to watching jets lose championship games.Someday we might be able to cheer about winning
Posted by: ashevillephinfan | January 23, 2011 at 08:32 PM
The onw move i was jealous of was the Santonio Holmes. Dolphins could have gotten him too, he is a very good threat and IMO a much more proven Hartline.

Re- Dolphins QB
I think McNabb with our WR would play much better than he did at Washington. Maybe draft a lower round QB (Ponder,Dalton,Stanzi)or wait till next draft. Anything but Henne. Even Pennington if his shoulder can take a hit will be a better option.
Posted by: Tosti51 | January 23, 2011 at 08:38 PM
Can someone please explain to me why we still have crowder?
Posted by: jetHATER | January 23, 2011 at 08:38 PM
i am no expert, but can someone tell me why on earth we keep passing on great qbs? we all know the list of qbs we could have had, breez, rodgers, etc?
Posted by: g | January 23, 2011 at 08:38 PM
I think Armando really wanted JT and the rest of Gang Green to win the SB this year.
Posted by: Roman | January 23, 2011 at 08:38 PM
At least we won't have to hear jet fans making excuses for this loss because of bad calls. U can't explain this one away
