Dolphins players and former players have been telling you what they think about all things relative to the franchise in the days since the regular season ended and owner Stephen Ross flirted with the idea of replacing Tony Sparano in a manner that failed protocol.
Former tight end Troy Drayton, who played in Miami from 1996-99, was a guest on Armando and the Amigo on 640-Sports in South Florida and I share with you the interview above.
Drayton shares his opinion of the season. He shares his opinion of the last few weeks (hint: he used the word "fiasco"). I asked him if people like you, the fans, will forgive and forget going forward.
Eventually the conversation turned to Chad Henne. Drayton saw what you saw. "He regressed," he said.
But Drayton has an interesting take on Henne going forward. Drayton also talked about Tyler Thigpen, whom he apparently likes more than Henne at this point.
Click the link and listen.
And come back later as I'll upload an interview we did with former University of Miami, New York Giants, St. Louis Cardinals RB O.J. Anderson. You will appreciate the story he gives you about how Bill Parcells dealt with him back in the day.

THE BILLS NEW DC IS THE HONORABLE ...DAVE WANNSTEDT THE EX DOLPHINS .

I have to laugh at the thinking on here at times.....
Too much to type and not enough time.
Very entertaining though.

Is it true?
The Brain stems of the Miami Dolphins are interviewing Marc Anthony for OC ?
Posted by: Home | January 13, 2011 at 05:50 PM
Yeah Bill, we're all good!! We worked it out. We don't see eye to eye on things but we're all good. Kind of like Ireland and Sparano I think....LOL.
DC, there's a lot of passion on here and a lot of frustration. Can you imagine if we were all in the war room trying to figure out who we'd be drafting. There'd be a full blown war...LOL.
Posted by: Craig M | January 13, 2011 at 05:53 PM
Why is it it seems Im the only one here see that the bulk of Henne's problems were covverting 3rd and longs?
Hmmm................no deep threat to take advantage DC's 3rd and long blitzing. Almost always resulting in sacks, incompletions, drops, checkdowns, and picks.
Everyone here seems to be looking at what happened but not WHEN it happened. 3RD AND LONGS IS YOUR WHEN! LOL...........
Posted by: DyingBreed | January 13, 2011 at 05:53 PM
ALoco,
So it's true Wannstedt is back in the NFL? Good for him then! I think he'll do a good job as the Bills DC. He gets knocked a lot on here but he's still a good DC
Anyone else think we'll have our OC by the end of the weekend? Would love to know where McDaniels ends up. Awfully quiet about him.

At a news conference, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh fought back tears as she described the damage inflicted by what is not the state's "worst natural disaster in our history."
"This definitely has New World Order and severe weather weapons of mass destruction Ionospheric Heaters written all over it.
"This morning, thousands of people(NWO slaves)in southeast Queensland have awakened to the unbearable agony of their homes being devastated, their businesses, their workplaces being devastated and, for some people, they've seen both their workplaces and their homes washed away," Bligh said.

AGAIN, WHAT DOWN IT USUALLY WHEN HENNE LOOKS HIS WORST? 3RD AND LONGS! THAT'S WHEN..LOL....
Posted by: DyingBreed | January 13, 2011 at 05:56 PM
Ahh, well, youknow, I honestly think that throw by M. Vick was a little out of placement.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 13, 2011 at 06:00 PM
BETTER QB COACHING AND A FEW MORE REAL WEAPONS AROUND HENNE EQUALS BETTER COACHED HENNE AND LESS 3RD AND LONG SITUATIONS.
ANOTHER #2 WR WITH SPEED AND CAN BEAT 2ND CORNERS WOULD MAKE DC'S PAY FOR BLITZING 3RD AND LONGS TOO. BETTER OVERALL OFFENSIVE WEAPONS WILL ACTUALLY REDUCED THE NUMBER OF 3RD AND LONGS HENNE FACES.
THAT ALONE IMPROVES HENNE BY DEFAULT! lol..........
Posted by: DyingBreed | January 13, 2011 at 06:00 PM
dying he looks awful on 1st and 2nd also. looks great on 4th with pollite running

I'm thinking the Packers, Steelers, Pats and Bears this weekend guys. Awful tough to pick against Atlanta and Matt Ryan at home, especially rested but I picked the Packers to make the Super Bowl in the offeason and they look dangerous right now. Incidentally, my Packers vs Ravens Super Bowl pick with the Ravens winning isn't looking horrible right now. Not bad for picking 5 months ago.
Posted by: Craig M | January 13, 2011 at 06:07 PM
Resign thigpen and sign Jocoby Jones
Posted by: Ju | January 13, 2011 at 06:07 PM

Lets bring wanny in for OC for old times sake, cant get much worse than that, you know it'll be like one of those old school reunions...the ones YOU DONT want to go to!!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | January 13, 2011 at 06:08 PM
I wouldn't mind JLo as an OC but always with her back to me.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 13, 2011 at 06:09 PM
yes oscar sarcastic as u r
Posted by: bill_cnnrs@yahoo.com | January 13, 2011 at 06:10 PM
You guys wonder why Henning began running the ball in some 3rd and longs. I know. DC's were blitzing the young Henne in these situation and neither Henne's preparers(Lee) nor our current personel are properly equipted to deal with it.
Ronnie Brown has neither great vision, elusiveness, nor ability to break tackles. So on offense we were totally smitten by the double edged sword. Especially on 3rd and longs! LOL.........
Posted by: DyingBreed | January 13, 2011 at 06:12 PM
Well, bill, is my opinion against yours. Any problems?
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 13, 2011 at 06:13 PM
GRAIG,
JOSH MACDANIEL WILL BE THE RAMS NEW OC AFTER THEIR OC SHRUMER WAS HIRED AS A HC FOR CLE BROWNS .,HE WILL BE TALKING CARE OF SAM BRADFORD THE NEW 65 MILLION MAN .
Posted by: ALoco | January 13, 2011 at 06:17 PM
But, how many times? Henne couldn't audible, he called mostly the wrong checkdowns and protection, he was a BIG liability in the Red Zone, he slided, well, like Sonia. And you guys expect a QB Coach to come in and fix him? Well, maybe, if he liked Sonia.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 13, 2011 at 06:19 PM
Man, I wish we had Sam Bradford.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 13, 2011 at 06:23 PM
I wish we had Peyton Manning!!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | January 13, 2011 at 06:24 PM
Henne was handcuffed, which makes any evaluation of his play difficult. That said, the guy will enter camp able to compete for the job. If he improves at all, we should all be happy. If he doesn't, his replacement, by default, would be an improvement. Bottom line, bring in a guy who can dice up defenses. Can Chad?

Craig M....have you been in a car accident.....did you get brain damage....I'm asking because your reading comprehension skills seem to be seriously diminished since the last time we talked during the play off games last weekend....you seemed to be able to understand plain english then.....
Since I don't feel like re-typing everything...you can go back and re-read it....SLOWLY...AND OUT LOUD IF NEED BE.....but I can't have a serious debate with someone who can only make childish assumptions

Mando, has anyone graded out the Fins Awfensive players as yet?I'm really interested in the number of dropped passes overall and by each receiver. My guess is Marshall was the most frequent offender.
Posted by: Finsfan Ralph | January 13, 2011 at 07:42 PM
henne won't even get the chance to win the job. dolphins options are young, orton, mcnabb, or suck boy. who ever it will be henne will not win the starting job, if he is there he is strictly back up.
Posted by: dolphin 77 | January 13, 2011 at 07:58 PM
Ralph...Marshall was tied with Wes Welker, and Stevie Johnson for drops this year. I think the number was 14, or 12..But the three of them all had the same amount.
Dying. You have been talking about how Henne was put into a lot of third and long sitations, and his struggles in that area. I'm curious if someone could go back to the end of the Baltimore game, and see what his percentage was before and after. I just remember a stat that day that stood out. Henne at the time was the top rated quarterback on third down. Hard to believe. This was about the time the offenive line started to get beat up. The next game was Tennessee, and IMO that was Hennes best game of the year. I think that he had one drive where he completed 9-9 on one drive that lead to.....wait....wait......A field goal.

Posted by: dolphin 77 | January 13, 2011 at 08:27 PM

Posted by: ALoco | January 13, 2011 at 08:43 PM
What has Childress done to deserve an interview? He never called plays in Philly and he had one good offensive season in MN and that was because he had several all stars. What did he do with an average qb in Jackson???very little. P. Harvin & Favre ripped him for being stupid.
Can't believe the fins are even giving this guy consideration! Add this to the list of dumb dumb moves.
Posted by: tar | January 13, 2011 at 09:02 PM
Could Henne function in a west coast offense?
Wouldn't he have to be a little mobile like Young, McNabb (I think he has better wheels than Henne even at his age) or Thigpen?
I wouldn't bother using picks for a QB. The picks are for o-line and other offensive offense.
Posted by: Swamy | January 13, 2011 at 09:03 PM
It would be great if Jay Gruden could get an interview for OC.
Now that would shake things up.
He will be an NFL coach again some day, probably when brother Jon gets his next chance.
Posted by: DLSr | January 13, 2011 at 09:06 PM
Henne cannot function in any offense.
Posted by: The Seer | January 13, 2011 at 09:07 PM
So what's the big rush to find an OC? Hasn't anyone notice that all names set up for interview are on LOSING teams? Hello?
Can't they just wait till the playoffs are over to look for prospects in playoff teams? I don't know much about these teams' coaches or their availabilities, but if Ross wants an aggressive, exciting offense, I'd look at Packers, Atlanta, Philly and of course the Pats.
