Dolphins re-sign OL Richie Incognito

The Dolphins weren't just sleepwalking Thursday as uncertainty about the NFL's labor issues caused teams to do last-minute business with free agents.

The club re-signed offensive lineman Richie Incognito to a three-year deal, according to a source. The source declined to specify the contract's worth.

Incognito thus completes a successful rehabilitation after he came to the Dolphins on a one-year deal for 2010 with the warning that if he stepped out of line -- as he had in St. Louis and in college previously -- he might not only find himself done with the Dolphins but out of the NFL altogether.

Incognito was Miami's best interior blocker, particularly on running plays, and his signing gives the Dolphins the versatility of keeping him at either right or left guard, where he played most of last season, or moving him to center in 2011. Incognito started 15 games at left guard despite the fact he's probably a more natural right guard. He started one game at center in place of Joe Berger who was injured and also was dealing with personal issues in Week 16.

The Dolphins also tendered Nate Garner, meaning the player who played all but one offensive line position in 2009 and was competing to start at left guard in 2010 when he got injured in training camp, will remain Miami property in 2011.

Aloco, Gulf must be drunk! I'm envious!!! Odin, what's up my friend?

JAX is sending Sims-Walker packing...could he be the #2 receiver opposite Marshall to give us the deep threat? Him and Marshall are already good friends and he wouldn't have to leave the state....Just sayin' we probably could get him for a bargain...Your thoughts...

Sims-Walker would be a great pickup plus he and Marshall were roommates in college

I will be disappointed if we don't make a strong effort to pursue him. He is still young and showed a ton of promise 2 seasons ago...especially if he now was the # 2 guy with bess in the slot we would have a top 5 receiving group IMO...

Aloco...

Hint... If you do not wish to read a post because you feel your attention span is not ready for it... Then don't read the friggin post! Dig It?... Do I say anything about your endless "In Caps" posts?

No.....

Would you like to know why?... Or have I already lost you...?

I do not read you posts because 9 out of 10 of them are gibberish. Most of them about what you have had for dinner or you knocking another writer because he has written something you do not like. Honestly, I find you a somewhat childish writer. But some like you and that I respect. I have withheld remark when you have made comments like this to me before. Mainly because, in all honesty, your opinion does not matter to me... not one damn bit.

I have no problem with you Aloco and I'll continue to use self control by not responding to your drivel after this reply should it not be warranted... I do so out of respect. Because we have both posted on this Blog for a LONG time. But I'm afraid if you are trying to be the moderator or in any way dictate to me what to post or the length of my posts. I will disappoint you because, as I have already said... Your opinion simply does not concern me.

I realize by now I have once again lost you and you are likely watching a ceiling fan spin or something really interesting to you. However, I have a proposal for you. Let us make a "smart" choice to ignore each others bad habits, you know?... things that annoy us about each other. Like this long ass post I wrote for you that you are reading right now. We can just be nice like I know we are both capable of... Okay?

We both post in Black and could resort to playing "Who is that mystery man" like I have seen so many times in this blog before... I'll play it how ever you wish.... I leave it up to you. I wish you the best Aloco. I hope you choose well.

Wow..I was reading Pro Football Daily. Mike Florio wrote an article saying that the extesnsion of the CBA deadline only involves negotiations. No more player deals as of midnight tonight. No players can be released no player can be signed. What was confusing was the article said that coaches could still meet with players??? (until the deadline is reached tommorow, or during any further extension) I went on to read the comments and found our own BobbyD12.

duh duh duhn...

DEREK KING OF GANG OF DEFEAT WELL I WILL HAVE MY CHAT BRIAN AND BERNASE SAUCE AND WINE WHAT EVER DUDE. MAYBE YOU WILL JOIN FASANO THE GORILA IN APE STADIUM FROR THE BIG GAME AGANST VULTURE CITY.

ALL THE GANG OF DEFEAT ON A PLAIN GOING TO THE BAHMAHAS TO DRINK COCONUT RUM AND DANCE THE MAMBO WITH HEYNA COWHER AND OPRAH WINFRY IN HER UNMDER WEAR UNTIL THEY ARE ARESTED AND TAKEN TO APE CITY FOR THERE TRIAL WITH GORILA FASANO THATNKS TO HARD WORK OF LIPPY THE HERO LION

I'm looking at the first round trying to figure out how in the world we will get into the second round. I'm sure there a ton of options that I am not qualified to see. But just looking at the teams behind us. They don't really need to make a trade to find a player to fill THEIR needs.

Maybe our best bet would be trading future picks? San Diego has 2 seconds, but they pick 3 or four spots behind us. So that doesn't make sense. New England has 2 picks. But could you see them trading with us?

Another scenario would invole other teams making trades that lead back to us in a roundabout way. I know Ireland has put it out there that we want to get that second round pick. But not being able to use existing players is going to make this a difficult task. I think we end up staying at 15 and watching round 2.

DEREK SUCK ALL AIR OUT OF ROOM BEFORE HE START TALKING. HIS BOYRIEND SUFFOCATED TRYING TO LISTEN TO HIM WITH EARPLUGS IN HIS HEAD.

DEREK DO COLOR CRAYON LETTER BACKS ON YOUR COMPUTER AFTER WEARING OFF WITH LONG POSTS.

GEEZ TAKE A dEEP BREATH BUT NOT TOO DEEP YOU SUFFOCATE US ALL.

Darryl,

I've been thinking along the same lines.

Ireland will be so hell bent on getting extra picks he'll probably find someone with 2 numbers 2's and a 3rd or 4th for our 15th.

That would give us two 2's and two 3rd's or 4th's and of course no number 1.

Would you do it?

DAMN!

Aloco why do you and Derek fight?

Is it true you're easily distracted by ceiling fans?

As soon as I read his last post I tried staring at mine for awhile. All it did for me was make me think about the good old days. Way back when gas was cheap, the women were clean and crack was something that hung out of the back of a plumbers pants.

I think this ceiling fan watching would go a lot better if I had a few "purple dragons".

Oh the good old days(SIGH)!!!!

Odin..Hell yes. I think for the voids we need. We can find very good value in all of those rounds. A week or so ago I said it looks more likely that we would drop down in the first to aquire an additional 3rd and 4th round pick. There we a few teams that pick behind us that have multiple picks in those rounds. Philly, and Jacksonville come to mind right off the bat. I just think the problem is that depending on how the draft plays out, I don't see any of those teams having to move up. Most, if not all need defensive line help, or secondary help. Positions where there will be good value available in round 1. But to your original question. The more picks the better. You can find very good players in the third round. I understand the odds over history go down. But, look at all of the recievers, or interior lineman that maybe available in that round. Also the tight ends may start flying off the board in rounds 3-4. We need to get on that ship this year, as we missed the boat(the yacht)last year....Get more picks!!

@ 1:30..I meant running backs, and interior lineman. There should be some recivers avaiable as well.

Darryl,

I think I would too.

We'd lose no. 15, but that would leave us two 2's-two 3's and our 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th.

I would be tempted. If the two 2's and two 3's were mid round or better, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

DD after the CBA I'm pretty sure they will try to trim the fat and grab a late rd pick by hustling some team like Ginn last year. Theres alot of good value picks in the 4th & 5th rd. I'd like to see if trading Crowder could get us a 4th rd pick... Take Casey Matthews and let him compete with Edds and Dobbins

Colin McCarthy in the 4th if we could trade Crowder would be my choice... but after what Clay did you almost gotta pick Matthews IDK

beerphin...Are you thinking the CBA gets done by the draft? That would help our cause a lot. If we could make player trades. It would give us much more firepower to complete a trade.

I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE CELING FANS BUT AT LEAST I DONT EAT TOAST FOR DINNER. THE GANG OF DEFEAT IS ALL IN THE APE CITY JAIL NOW WITH HEYNA COWHER AND OPRAH WINFRY AND GORILA FASANO.

I don't know about toast for dinner but clam chowder is gorilla city on swamp people.

git dat gator Clam

So here are the teams with multiple picks in rounds 2 New England, San Diego
Round 3 New England San Diego New Orleans San Francisco(they have compensory picks at the end of the round)
Round 4 Jax, Philly, Buff, San Francisco
I may have missed a team in round 4...Dead brain cells, and I cannot remember my name half of the time. It's a shame.

Hey check out my new Website ---> http://phinfan23.webs.com/ <--- Blogs and Updates about the Fish!

My mistake...San Fran has 3 supplimental picks
I don't know how those play out. They also have 2 fourth rounders.

Wasssup fellas,

DD I am pretty sure you can't trade or do anything with the compensatory picks. The team that has them simply has to use them.

SF has to sit tight and chose their players with those picks. Sux as it would be cool to have another possible trade partner.

Cheers,

I thought it was interesting they tendered Thigpen.

I wonder if tha means they won't draft a QB at all or will be leaning towards a particular FA after the draft.

Cheers,

ForshizzleSticks

They tendered him for this reason only...they want to get something for him...like a draft pick or anything. Smart instead of letting him walk away and get nothing in return...
That move shouldn't cloud your QB thoughts as to what moves the arrtard Ireland and Tony are going to make

cowkilla,

Probably depends on what round draft pick the other team would have to give up. If it is lower round they are just trying to get something.

If it is for a 2nd - 3rd that would have teams thinking before they lept. Miami would know that would keep the offers away or would indicate that they want to hold onto the guy more than most of us thought.

Cheers,

I WOULD LOVE TO SPEND SOME DOWN TIME WITH RICHIE INCOGNITO, HE REALLY RINGS MY BELL, IF YOU GET MY DRIFT.

So would I Aloco, we have good taste!

Can I join, we will be the Richie's 3 queens.

I think Tyler Thigpen is hot. I would totally be into a nude massage with him!

SORRY, NO SHOT GIRLS, IF I EVER GET MY ARMS AROUND THAT BIG BRUTE HE'S MINE. I HAVE A PICTURE OF HIM IN SHORTS, WHAT A PACKAGE HE HAS.

Fake Kris at 4:14 A.M. That must be that nut Buffalo Bill starting up with me.

“chemtrails” is now commonly used to describe the brilliant white plumes laid down by U.S. Air Force tanker planes over North America and more than a dozen other allied nations – and viewed with alarm by many people long familiar with normal aircraft condensation trails called “contrails”.

In November, 1999, Defense critic Gordon Earle presented a petition signed by 550 Espanola, Ontario residents to the Canadian Parliament demanding “an end to aerial spraying by commercial or military aircraft, foreign or domestic,” which appeared to be making many people sick. The Department of National Defense eventually replied, “It’s not us.”

When the Environment Ministry refused to release its Espanola air sample findings, the chemtrails fallout was independently lab tested and found to contain levels of aluminum five-times higher than Ontario’s maximum permissible health safety standards.

These particles matched the 10 micron aluminum oxide called for in a 1994 patent issued to Hughes Aircraft Company. “Welsbach Seeding for Reduction of Global Warming” called for spreading highly reflective materials in the atmosphere to reflect enough incoming sunlight (about 1%) to slow global warming despite an anticipated doubling in CO2 emissions. High levels of quartz particles were also found. Very high readings of bacteria, molds and fungi hitchhiking on these particles from the upper atmosphere down to the ground were also found. [Chemtrails Confirmed by William Thomas]

Beautiful morning to everyone.

So we resigned Incognito, I think that's a good move.

What are people thinking about some other olinemen cut (or on their way out), such as Dockery, Gallery...? I know Dockery is a left tackle, think he could be a right tackle (not sure if he's ever done that before), but he's a big boy, still has skills. I know Gallery's been moved around, and is doing well at left guard (where Incognito played). But Ritchie might be movin' to center, which would open up the left guard position, so Gallery could fit there.

the only thing the Jets had last year that we lacked was a running game. We have to get that straighten out. I'm glad we signed icognito. Now they need to keep shoring up the line and get a couple of nasty running backs.

Boulderphin.....that and a down feild passing game.....

DC,

Its seems same ole fo, same ole s*hit to me. Panthers signed Shockey to one year deal, it's reported we never even made an offer.

2 Rookie TE's that could never even get into the playing picture in 2010 and we couldnt even use Shockey for 1 season. Just another classic case of this fo fumigated by its own musk.

oh...and a play making TE.....

Until we get a lights out speed wr and legit seam threat TE, say SAYONARA to a consistent run game. It doesnt matter how great your oline and rb's are. You are not going to have consistent running success against 7-8 in the run box.

I understand you guys fascination of shoring up the line. But the problem wnet far beyond just that alone in 2010. No legit deep threat wr or seam threat TE totally screwed the oline too.

and the #2 ranked defense......

Agree with your thinking DB

Chemtrails are used to steer and propagate energies used in
ultra-secure communications, and because they quickly lose their
coherency, chemtrails that is, to become reflective layers of clouds
over a few hours time, they can also be (are) used to form what must be
called "The Broadcast Canopy", a major tool within the radiant arsenal
and in weather modification. A huge reflective sheet is formed over a
subject population, and the energies and frequencies broadcast from
antennae farms everywhere can be attuned to achieve ends that have been
researched extensively by the CIA during Projects Paperclip, MK-ULTRA,
and others...

Broadcast Canopys also are used to perpetuate things like through-wall
radar, very long distance sound bugging of premises, computer monitoring
from afar, and general invasions of privacy...
look up! you're being sprayed by your own government.

"in the future he who controls the weather will probably control the earth"

"When we talk about weather warfare technology we are talking about a death technology. It has nothing to do about enhancing life. The aim of weather warfare is catastrophic weather destruction and horrific loss of life."

Even if you could run the ball against 7-8 defenders in the run box. Once behind by a couple score that philosophy goes straight out the window. Now if you cant pass deep you are totally screwed.

Just being able to run only without an effective deep passing game you're still only a 8-8 team on average.

Men....hating the jets doesn't make the Dolphins a better team......

Good drafting and key free agents do.....

The numbers don't lie....they rarely do.....

I hate the jets as much as the next guy....but in order for the Dolphins to get better....they/we need look no futher than the Mirror....

As of now its the jets and the pats fighting for 1st place.....we have a stangle hold on 3rd....

and our cellar dwellar bill...we'll....they have beaten us at least once in the past 2 years....and each time it was a GAME WE NEEDED...and a game that meant nothing for them.....

Thats a problem

Even with the oline we had in 2010, had we a legit deep speed wr and seam TE. We would have still finished 10-6 at worst and at least as high as 11-5.

Even in our victories we didnt put teams away. They just sort of ran out of time.

Bring back my son!

My 2010 Oline Evaluation:

LT----The best in the league(LONG).
LG----Solid. Cognito was only weak at pulling.
C-----Greeat pass protecting.Avg at point of attack.
RG----A rookie and a vagabond split the position.
RT----Carey above average when healthy.

The most glaring deficiency of 2010's oline was at RG. Having a Cowboy reject and a 3rd rd rookie splitting playing and starting time there says it all. The center position only needs to be stronger at the point of attack.

Incognito would be a sure fire pro bowler if he could pull. Despite the concerns Ive mentioned we are still far from declaring Marshall Law on the oline front.

Good move on Incognito. I also saw that Sims-Walker is available. Think he'd be a good number two guy behind Marshall. Big, fast, young and a Florida guy to boot. Come on FO let's turn the corner and start building a winner.
