The Dolphins have replaced Channing Crowder.
The Miami Herald's Jeff Darlington is reporting the Dolphins have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with unrestricted free agent Kevin Burnett.
Burnett, 28, was drafted in 2005 by the Dallas Cowboys. He spent the last two seasons with the Chargers, where he started all 16 games.
The deal for Burnett is for four years. Other terms are not yet available.

Im still hoping the Orton situation is a poker game and he will be a dolphin at some point-----
Now if this defense wants to go to the next level we need and athletic ballhawk safety---
Cut YB---and sign michael Huff----Our defense would be stackeddddddddddddd
To me Orton, and Huff makes us a team no1 wants to play---
Luv the burnett pick up---if we dont target a safety--i say go after manny lawson or an olinemen veteran

DB........ AS ALWAYS ,YOU HAVE THE SMART NOT LIKE MOST IN HERE BUT I HAVE A QUESTION........
GO YOU THINK HENNE'S KNEE INJURY HAS TO DO ANY THING WITH HIM TRADED TO DENVER FOR ORTON OR OTHER TEAMS ?
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:37 PM
AS I SAID LAST WEEK ,CROWDER WILL BE GONE ONCE THE LOCKOUT IS OVER........
NOW I SAY ......... FASANO IS NEXT THE HARTLINE ..............
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:39 PM
Aloco, What are you trying to say?
Posted by: FP4FGs | July 29, 2011 at 11:40 PM
THEN...... HARTLINE
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:40 PM
Guys, the fact that Mando is staying mum about all of this tells me that something's up. It can't be as simple as that. The deal for Orton cannot be dead and we cannot settle for this type of mediocrity at QB.
Or, if this was their version of competition for Henne, then they will have forever lost their fans' confidence.
Posted by: FB | July 29, 2011 at 11:41 PM
oscar moore is one of the worst qbs in the nfl. henne is awful to. no way hartline will be cut. fasano i could care lees about
Posted by: dusty bottoms | July 29, 2011 at 11:42 PM
Wow, Aloco, You predicted that Big Mouth Crowder was gonna be cut?, Thats not a news flash.
Posted by: FP4FGs | July 29, 2011 at 11:44 PM
Good QB's really don't need great OC's.
Posted by: oscar canosa | July 29, 2011 at 11:45 PM
FASANO WILL BE CUT SOON,,,,,YESTERDAY DAY WE SIGNED UN DRAFTED TE FROM PENN STATS 6/5-245
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:46 PM
Aloco, Tell us something about yourself.
Posted by: FP4FGs | July 29, 2011 at 11:47 PM
Mando, speak up man! Where are you? Do you agree with the signing of Moore. You're really on top of it Mando. I'm impressed....NOT!
Posted by: FB | July 29, 2011 at 11:49 PM
FP4FGs......... REMEMBER HARTLINE ATTACKED SPARANO AND JEFF IRELAND AFTER THE SEASON LAST YEAR EVEN IF HE FAILED TO SCORE LOUSY TD DOWN THE WHOLE YEAR AND DROPPED FEW PASSES FRM HENNE .......................
HARTLINE ON THE TRDING BLOCK,,,,,,,,IT'S GATES TIME .
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:49 PM
they just gave fasano an extension they're not gonna cut him
Posted by: David Cox | July 29, 2011 at 11:50 PM
Man, you gonna cut the only proven TE we have? GOOH!(this is one of the reasons my highly logical Mind can't accept).
Posted by: oscar canosa | July 29, 2011 at 11:51 PM
hartline might go as part of the orton trade I could definitely see that
Posted by: David Cox | July 29, 2011 at 11:51 PM
FB....... MANDO HAS A RADIO SHOW AND NEEDS GUESTS ...HE CAN'T VOICE HIS VIEWS OTHER WISE ,HE WILL NEVER GET A GUEST .....
P.S...... DID YOU NOTICE LATELY HE'S BEEN NICE TO R.BUSH ? HE NEEDS HIM FOR INTERVIEW .......

GUYS HERES MY STORY
The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:53 PM
BERGER ,VERNON CARY , BOTH CAN BE CUT ALSO . NO BODY IS SAVE ,,,,,,,,,,
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:54 PM
OSCAR.... PROVEN TE...MY FOOT ...FASANO PLAYED ONLY ONE GAME THE WHOLE YEAR AND COST US A FEW GAMES WITH HIS DROPS ON THE PRICE OF 2.2 MILLION A YEAR ........ HE WILL BE GONE .......
Posted by: ALoco | July 29, 2011 at 11:56 PM
I remember when, as a child, my balls were bare, I felt very cold.
Posted by: oscar canosa | July 29, 2011 at 11:57 PM
Oscar, what????? So u don't think there's a difference as a QB playing for HENNING rather than McDaniels??
Posted by: robbyhernz | July 29, 2011 at 11:58 PM
Aloco there's no way he's coming off a career year in receptions and yards, no way he gets cut
Posted by: David Cox | July 29, 2011 at 11:58 PM
ALoco, is that really your story? How sad man. I'm sorry to hear that...
Posted by: FB | July 29, 2011 at 11:58 PM
I Just spit my beer on my screen, Aloco, You da man.
Posted by: FP4FGs | July 30, 2011 at 12:00 AM
Oh My God, Aloco is "Dr.Evil, It all makes sense now.
Posted by: FP4FGs | July 30, 2011 at 12:02 AM
LMFAO. You d bags have the same loser qb and are banking on a guy who hasn't been healthy in three years or ever rushed for over 600 yards to get it done. ROTFL.
Your owner has already given all the players a free pass stating the coach would be done if he doesn't get it done. Another train wreck ahead in Miami.
Go to NY or NE if you want to see how to run a team. Heck Buffalo would be a good start.

BACALA........ WITH BASIL .
Posted by: ALoco | July 30, 2011 at 12:03 AM
No need to say that, barring that Devlin turns out to be a phenom, I feel VERY uneasy going into the Season with our present QB's.
Posted by: oscar canosa | July 30, 2011 at 12:07 AM
OSCAR...WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT QB'S ? HENNE IS GREAT @ 500,000 A YEAR ......... DO YOU KNOW FOOTBALL LIKE US OR YOU JUST A GUEST ?

Quit BEING a fish, My Bad.
Posted by: FP4FGs | July 30, 2011 at 12:14 AM
They gave you one win at home last year and have done nothing but sign one of the most over rated players in the league. Every team in the div has signed better players. Pathetic qb situation.
Enjoy fist pumping your way to 5 or 6 wins. I will be around on Sundays to remind you I was right. Remember the NE, Det, and Buf games to end the season?
That is your team.
Posted by: TorturedDolphan | July 30, 2011 at 12:15 AM
OSCAR,
BACALA IS MY FAVORITE FISH ,YOU CAN EAT RAW AS SALD OR BAKED ,IT'S NICE FISH...I ALSO LOVE SEA BASS, STRIP BASS FRIED .
Posted by: ALoco | July 30, 2011 at 12:15 AM
I just want to say that I am laughing my ace off over here that NY lost Asomugha. Suck on that Rex! And they lost Brad Smith. I predict there is going to be a fat, greasy, blow-hard sitting on the couch tonight in NY, eating Cheetos and sucking down eggcreams. Maybe his wife can give him a footjob while he watches Man vs. Food.

IT'S BACALA NOT BACALO .

Posted by: TorturedDolphan | July 30, 2011 at 12:24 AM
C'mon, man, you made me go all the way to Wikipedia to verify about BACALA. Don't be a snob, ALoco, thats what they call that fish in Italy, but everywhere else, specially in Miami, it's called BACALAOO. Si?
Posted by: oscar canosa | July 30, 2011 at 12:26 AM

You should try the Peruvian Bass at La Casa Juancho, ALoco.(I'm going to try to charge them for this, at least a free fish, no?).
Posted by: oscar canosa | July 30, 2011 at 12:35 AM
I remember a movie called The Tin Drum where the central character was named Oskar, and not Oscar. Same as ALoco and ALoca. Yes-No?

My 2011 Dolphin Pro Bowl Watch List:
Defense
Cam Wake
Vontae Davis
Sean Smith
Carlos Dansby
Randy Starks
Kevin Burnett-- (Wont be a pro bowl snub if he put up numbers like 2010)
Paul Soliai-- (Has to at least be an alternate to justify franchise tag)
Offense
Jake Long
Brandon Marshall
Kyle Orton--(I think he will be signed and we have enough weapons to make it happen)
Reggie Bush--(Must stay healthy)
Davon Bess--(This could be his year)
Charles Clay--(Im thinking he'll be a mismatch nightmare on dc's)
Clyde Gates--(I just have a longshot feeling about this kid)
ST's
Phillip Livas KR-- (You dont know him now but you will)
Dan Carpenter-- (We shouldnt have to kick fg's until his leg falls off this season.
Posted by: DyingBreed | July 30, 2011 at 01:17 AM
I also think Pouncey has an outside chance to make pro bowl as an alternate.
Posted by: DyingBreed | July 30, 2011 at 01:21 AM
Aloco,
There's nothing wrong with Henne's knee. Its his freaking head thats an issue.
Also, I think Hartline could be a keeper. But wouldnt be surprised to see Fasano upgraded if its doable under our cap.
Posted by: DyingBreed | July 30, 2011 at 01:26 AM
you can't be serious dude.
clay?
orton?
bush
livas?
those are some real streches....been drinking?
Posted by: craig | July 30, 2011 at 01:26 AM
why didn't you add procter and mcquistan? and lex hillard?
Posted by: craig | July 30, 2011 at 01:27 AM
craig,
A hurricane watch doesnt exactly mean that area will get hit. Just means the probability could exist.
That's why I said pro bowl "watch". Under the right conditions I can see possibility to happen. The rookie "Livas" sparked excitement out on the field today during practice.
Armando mentioned him and the sun sentinel guy said he was impressed by what he saw too. Clay drew raves from the reporters also. Bush "if" remains healthy is certain pro bowl material.
When and if we sign Orton, I believe he can be a pro bowl qb if all the other pieces on the offense come together and falls into place.
Posted by: DyingBreed | July 30, 2011 at 01:35 AM
clay is some hybrid player with no real postion, who knows how they will use him. not likely a pro bowl te or rb
bush will never get enough touches to make a pro bowl, they need to keep him healthy
orton, if he comes in, is going to need time and games to get acquainted. i wouldn't expect him to be on target the first few games
livas, new kick return rules, hard to say if anyone will stand out
gates, don't expect him to be a starting wr too soon. also, his name is edmund, not clyde.
Posted by: craig | July 30, 2011 at 01:46 AM
Don't read too much into the QB conspiracy theories.
Two things:
1. Denver's asking price was simply too high. Ireland didn't pay. That's a good thing.
2. Ireland thinks he "discovered" an acorn in Matt Moore while in Dallas. He lost him on the waiver wire trying to sneak him onto the Cowboys practice squad. It's the old ego/I'm smarter than everyone crap. That's a bad thing!
Cutting Crowder and signing Burnett was a big time great move for Ireland. It'll turn out to be one of the best.
