The Dolphins are apparently not trying to sign tight end Zach Miller at this hour.
The Miami Herald's David J. Neal is reporting the Dolphins haven't had any discussions with Miller's agent. The team hasn't called him and he hasn't called them.
That doesn't necessarily dismiss vaguely worded tweet from ESPN's John Clayton that kinda sorta linked the Dolphins and Miller. But it does definitely quash the possibility that something is going on now.
Yes, I know. You would love the Dolphins to chase Miller. He is a stellar. He is fast. He threatens the middle of the field like no current Dolphins tight end has proven to do.
But the Dolphins have other priorities right now.
Quarterback.
Mike Pouncey.
Miller is not currently a priority.
Hard to soar with eagles when you turkeys in the FO.

don't we need zach miller more than another LB? both command the same kind of money. burnett gets 5m per; so does zach. the pats have 3 stud tight ends. we run a offense built around tight ends and have fasano? QB and TE are desperately NEEDED! someone tell jeff.

This guy is a young Jason Witten. He will be a core player moving forward and would be huge addition and big time weapon no matter who plays QB. Orton/Fasano or Henne/Miller?? With the pieces we have put in place. Go out and get Miller. Roll with Henne, he will then have a completely legitimate NFL arsenal of weapons at his disposal like the rest of the Super Bowl caliber teams have with a pickup of Miller.
