Zach Miller not on Dolphins radar right now

The Dolphins are apparently not trying to sign tight end Zach Miller at this hour.

The Miami Herald's David J. Neal is reporting the Dolphins haven't had any discussions with Miller's agent. The team hasn't called him and he hasn't called them.

That doesn't necessarily dismiss vaguely worded tweet from ESPN's John Clayton that kinda sorta linked the Dolphins and Miller. But it does definitely quash the possibility that something is going on now.

Yes, I know. You would love the Dolphins to chase Miller. He is a stellar. He is fast. He threatens the middle of the field like no current Dolphins tight end has proven to do.

But the Dolphins have other priorities right now.

Quarterback.

Mike Pouncey.

Miller is not currently a priority.

Yea, who the he'll wants to come live in South Beach while making millions??? Some of you posters are incredible.

For the most part the player are about the money.

I wish this orton thing would go down already I mean orton is no super star or a top tier QB but as far as the second tier of QB's go he's at the top and that's way better than what we have

In a State that has no state income tax. People really must believe in Fairy Tales if they believe a player wouldnt come here because of the FO. MONEY, that's what it's about.

For Chad Henne I imagine Miller would be a priority.

South Florida sucks. Lived their 10 years. Hot stinkin humid weather, giant cockroaches everywhere, bunch of haitans and cubans that hate white people and pretend they don't speak English. No culture or soul. Stupid gimmecky restaurants with pricey crap food, nothing is close, major suburban drive forever in traffic crap. Beaches ok, no brutal winter, ok, other than that, most major cities in the states are far more desirable to live in,

Chad couldn't hit the water from a canoe. No tight end will help that kid.

I could honestly care less about the orton situation now....our offense is still miles away from catching up to our defense in terms of our strengths and weaknesses.

police came acros da street took someone away
i be hatin da hood
jamaurice gone play nfl someday
get rich take me outs o dis place
get some dum white girl be my house beatch

So Ron b lives in NYC.

Mama Ho...get a life...you are probably a 22 yo white boy still waiting for his first lay.

not sure if their still here:Pat McQuistan, Bobby Carpenter, Cory Procter to name a few ex boys signed by the fins.

Ron B, thanks for ur input, but a young athlete, making millions probably lives a little different style then you. In fact, most people with money could care less about the heat and don't live in places with cockroaches. And NO State Income Tax or crap weather.

Yea i agree with Bobby d there...it aint the players that dont want to be here...this is all coming from the FO personal that dont want them here....dont think that this didnt way in the mind of reggie bush in his decision to come here either...Saints talent and Dolphins talent arent exactly neck and neck when it comes to winning a championship and Reggie knew this as well.

Hey what's up fellas? Long time man.

I am sitting back and shaking my head once again at another puzzling Miami offseason. So the offensive play calling was horrible but add to that so were the mix of players.

Miami's answer is to add Reggie Bush whom I like as a player who can add some pep to the offense but after that they are relying on a new offensive cordinator to this point who hasn't shown anything, a QB who most of you know what I think of Henne (stinks), a 4th round WR and a 2nd round RB (both rookies obviously unproven).

What Miami does from here is anyone's guess. Looks like Broncos want too much for Orton and I'm not heart broken over not getting him but to add only Matt Moore and not Ryan Mallet in the draft or Vince Young (POTENTIAL and UPSIDE)to at least compete with Henne is mind numbing. I don't think it happens but Miami needs another offensive playmaker like Braylon Edwards. I mean if you want to go to battle with Henne it's your own head but at least give him so many options and weapons that he has a chance to be above average at the position!

I've been here 16 years now, I would NEVER wanna live anywhere else.

Andy NJ, good to have you back bro.

bobbyd

Anyone making millions can live just fine anywhere. Miami has no edge, if anything the quality of the population there is 3 notches down from most places. It's a disgusting place to live. Anyone making a normal salary can have a way better lifestyle out of that swampland.

Honestly if they did add another reciever....I would look more harder at malcolm floyd than braylon edwards....but both are very capable at taking the #2 slot from hartline...

carl

you got that all bent wit dis 304
lil white boy with lil white thingy is wut you be
dis be fo adults only
go home to yo scared mommy

WE HAD golden opportunities in the past, passed on Brees 2 times, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco..but NOOOO we get Pat White, Coldpepper and a bunch of other 2nd round throwaways. My patience is thin, but Henne better pull through or we will be know as the 2nd round team that throws QB's away and gets NADA in return and lose picks.
No wonder every team wants to give us their leftovers when it comes to QB's. They get the picks, we get the garbage.

South Beach is a joke. TV nonsense. Any major city has far more desirable places. Ft Lauderdale is a joke too. Every town has gorgeous women, great bars, restaurants, nightlife, don't need to go that mosquito laden swampland.

Hey Ron B, just got back from hunting lobster and stopped in at No Name Pub on Big Pine Key. Excellent smoked fish dip and beer. I can only laugh at you dumb ass northerners.

But to other things: Most real fans know by now, this (Ireland, Sparano) bunch has to go. Both are scared to take chances. No guts, no glory.

I wonder if our FO is taking lessons from the Government. Because when it comes to players, it like getting the the debt under control.. CLUELESS!!!

Ron B, lol, again, any well off person enjoys the Miami lifestyle. I know I do, no where else I can play golf year round, ride my Harley, jump on a plane and be in the Bahamas or South America on the cheap. To each his own but there are 100s of thousands like me.

Speaking of curses...
Ours is the Shula/Marino curse...
We very unceremoneously pushed them out, and now our curse makes the "Babe" curse look like a blessing.

Yeah, like high property taxes, Wind Storm insurance, car insurance. Lived in Hollywood for 45yrs...you can have it.

By the way, when a state wants to make Spanish the second language, it's even worse. Go to Miami and just try to have a conversation in English. I'm not prejudice but the facts are facts.

BobbyD12,

Thanks dude. Your down there in South Fla man what's your view on the acquisitions or lack thereof so far?

Any rumors floating about possibly adding any other parts?

muzakguy911, Ron B, all you two do is complain about EVERYTHING. sorry ur both so miserable and negative. There is medications and therapy that help. Me, I am positive and happy with life and where I live. You should try it

bobbyd - scary to know there are 100's like you. 100's? Gosh.

cocoajoe - I am not a northerner, although I lived all over the states. Those who like south florida don't really know much else unless they were from a really cold lowlife place before. smoked dip and beer? Ha. That is the lifestyle for you? Man I'll bet you take your girl to KFC on her birthday. Clueless...but typical.

Andy, no one knows, this organization stays tight lipped. I was happy with Bush, sorry to see Amaya go. I believe were not done, everyone was bummed then all of a sudden we got Dansby and Marshall. I still believe we will add another significant piece. I will go to practice on Wed and Thursday to see for myself.

Hell if I made 6 figures I'd be happy too!!!
But when the average employer in So Fla pays 10-12hr, how can you manage. Yeah I sold my home in Hollywood before the market collapsed and laughed all the way to the bank.... Now I make better money, pay less propery taxes and am happy. But I STILL Love My Dolphins

I lived in South Philly my whole life and now live across the Walt Whitman Bridge in South NJ but I have been down to Miami and I loved it.

The food, music, South Beach and Bayside are all worth the trip to me. I love it down there!

Well said bobbyd12. Time to say good bye to the biacherds you mentioned.

Ron B, take it elsewhere dude. You failed in Florida and lived in some low rent place and a job that didn't pay. A lot of us don't have that problem. Complain to your parents, they are the only ones that care .

Andy NJ, you don't like Bush move?? I know your not Henne fan and I want to give him one more year, so we never will agree there. But I certainly think we will bring in somebody besides Moore to compete. Can't just hand Henne or any other guys the keys unless your name is Manning or Brady

ARMANDO

A QB IS YOUR PRIORTY.

WE HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME TO GET ONE IF THEY THOUGHT IT WAS.

WHAT'S A 3RD ROUND PICK FOR A QB IF THEY THOUGHT HE WAS THAT MUCH BETTER.

LET'S STICK TO THE FACTS.

CHAD'S OUR GUY

THIER ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THEN YOUR WORDS

The Denver Broncos still have an interest in St. Louis tight end Daniel Fells and Dallas defensive tackle Jason Hatcher, but they are tight against the salary cap and it might stall the team’s attempt to sign them, according to an NFL source close to the situation.

The Broncos wanted to sign both players on their visits Friday, but didn’t have the cap room to do it. The Broncos have other priorities and want to make sure they can sign those players first. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday that Denver agreed to terms with running back Willis McGahee. But that deal is not final because of Denver’s cap situation.

The Broncos have been handcuffed because a proposed trade of quarterback Kyle Orton to Miami didn’t happen. The Broncos still hope to trade Orton to clear cap room.

I wonder if the Broncos rue the decision of former coach Josh McDaniels to extend Orton’s contract another year last summer? Had McDaniels -- who made many questionable managerial decisions in his 23 months in Denver -- not extended Orton, Denver would have the necessary cap room to sign players and it would have the clarity at the quarterback position it currently doesn’t enjoy.

BobbyD12,

You're right about the tight lipped nature of this organization. I hope they did add another piece. I personally want someone who can make a big play. I like Braylon Edwards as that missing piece. He drops balls and so does Marshall but they both have their strengths and those are seperate strengths. Marshall is possession and great after the catch and Edwards who could be arrested in South Beach by mid October if signed is very talented who has deep ball abilities more then anyone on the Miami current roster (Gates don't count yet).

I know we always have disagree on Henne but adding Edwards would give him the best chance and many options as opposed to a blanketed Hartline by an average cornerback and Marshall double covered.

bobbyd

Yes, I failed miserably. Made my money in markets. Oceanfront condo in Del Mar, beautiful community, comfortable weather all year, no giant cockroaches or humidity, and nobody pretends they don't speak English. Its awful. I lived in South Florida in my younger days, still have family there, always be a finfan. It can be a fun place for a short visit. Living there is for the uncultured society who think beer and smoked dip is the highlife. There is no quality there, just commercial hype and sweat. (Ok, if you are a multi millionair on the intracoastel, life is better) But a multi millionaire anywhere and you are living fine.

Our special teams will finally have a threat with bush. IMO thats what I'm excited form not his running game.

Well I live between Syracuse and Albany and I've been to Florida a bunch of times and if it wasn't for my job I woulda moved down there years ago winters just plain suck

BobbyD12,

No I love the Bush move. I think he is great in space and is a great security blanket for Henne who does like to check down. I just hope they add something else for Henne to look to when Marshall is double covered.

I think Bush is a nice complimentary piece and could be a piece that gives Henne some confidence. Bush can turn a 5 yard gain into a 50 yard TD and that sort of play can get a QB into a rhythm. I watched Vick do it all last season. He had some brilliant moments Vick but he also was able to dump off to LeSean McCoy (led RB in catches last season) and hit 10 to 12 yard passes to long runs by Jackson and Maclin.

If Henne ever develops and I said it before I hope he proves me wrong he is going to need more then Brian Daboll's supposed QB friendly offense and a couple rookies and Reggie Bush.

Almost 3 seasons now and we're still talking about "As Henne develops?"

Are you serious?

Upstate NY is nice, but winters suck. But living and working in South Florida, insane traffic in insane heat, everything is far, ill mannered haitian cab drivers, the magic wears off. Many places are great for a short visit, not as great day in and out. There are many far better places to live all around the coastal areas of the states.

Why don't they just sign every free agent? Oh there's a salary cap !!!

Well that was fun. Going to see if I can find some smoked dip and beer...for my pet gerbil. Hasta luego all...

Tell Jeff Ireland to get a damn QB already. Henne will never develop.

NO PLACE LIKE BOSTON ..........

Fun talking Ron B. Enjoy mini-lobster season.
I still do miss the beach!!!

I am going to repost this again because it seems to have gone unnoticed by all of the humid cockroaches...

NO PLACE LIKE ROME AND VIENNA .

PALM PEACH IS NICE BUT WHEN YOU CROSS THE BRIDGE TO WEST PALM AND SEE ALL THESE WINDOWS COVERED BY IRON BARS YOU SAY TO YOURSELF , WHO AM I ?

All I want for my B'Day is a QB who is accurate, a leader, and has a good head on his shoulder.

BEACH

I NOTICED THAT THE BLOGGERS WHO WANT HENNE TO BE PERFECT ARE THE ONES WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED AND EATING CHICKEN WINGS FOR DINNER .

Andy, agree on more pieces. Defense looks solid. Pouncey is great if he does what they think. Crossing my fingers that Gates can burn. Upgraded with Burnett. Have patience, at least one maybe two more moves coming IMO

Look this team is going nowhere this yr.Sparano is going to stick it to Ross he got a contract extension, got his kid on staff to get money from Ross, hired coaches to coach positions they never coached before, hired an OC that was one of the worst in the league. He will be gone by game six when we are 1-5 at the best.

I AM WITH YOU BOBBY12

NICKM:

HE STARTED 27 GAMES.

WE PLAY 16 A YEAR

THAT'S ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF OF PLAYING.

PLEASE STOP.

HE'S FAR FROM THE BEST BUT HE'S FAR FROM THE WORST.

BEING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PACK AFTER 27 GAMES IS OK.

OH I THINK HE'S IN THE TOP 10 IN PASSING PERCENTAGE.

TOP 15 IN YARDS

HE THREW LESS PICKS THAN BRESS AND MANNING.

OVER ALL HE DID BETTER THAN SANCHEZ.

HE'S OVER ALL RECORD

3-1 AGINST THE JETS AND BILLS

1-3 AGINST THE PATS BUT TWO OF THOSE LOSSES WERE NOT HIS FAULT.

HE BEAT THE SUPERBOWL CHAMPS.

THE STEELERS HAD A BOGUS CALL TO WIN.

YEAH I LIKE CHAD.
