Bootleg video of Dolphins practices on Internet

When the Dolphins admit fans to their open practices for training camp, they announce on the public address system that folks are not allowed to photograph or video any portion of practice.

Apparently, some person or persons attending Dolphins practices this year have been videotaping the team for extended periods of time without the team knowing. The videos, at least six of them, are quite long and quite clear. One extends 15 minutes. One extends 14 minutes. Several extend six and seven minutes.

Many of them show team periods where the first team offense is running plays against the first team defense. They show the Dolphins use of Reggie Bush. They show Miami's blitzes.

And they are on the Internet.

I will not publish the videos on here for obvious reasons. I won't even tell you where to find them.

But obviously somebody didn't think enough of protecting the integrity of Miami's practice to keep from posting them.

I had a short conversation with Dolphins vice president of communicatons Harvey Greene to alert him about the videos. He was surprised they exist and none too happy about it.

I'm expecting a statement from the team in the coming minutes.

By the way, the folks that uploaded the videos go by Dolphins fan handles -- such as Dolphinsfan911. If indeed fans that video taped the practices were Dolphins fans, what does it say about them?

This is, after all, only a week after Dolphins fans chanted "Kyle Orton, Kyle Orton," during an open and free practice at Sun Life Stadium. Taken together it gives Miami fans a black eye on the reputation front, in my opinion.

[Update: I looked around and my Armando and the Amigo radio show producers searched and we found no similar New England Patriots practice videos. The Dolphins play the Patriots Sept. 12 in the regular-season opener for both.]

Coach,

Henne naysayers say practice only means something when Henne's having a not so good one. Practice only means totally nothing if Henne has a good one. The naysayers have given us our cue. LOL...

1-15 = luck in 2012

It was a combination of the team last year, the OL was extremely bad. It wasn't just the QB problems because he created a bunch of his own problems. Th erunning backs had NO lanes, the tight ends were kept in to protect because the OL couldn't and if it wan't for Ronnie and Ricky, Henne wouldn't hav ebeen sacked twice as much. It was a bad offensive team all around but anyone that knows football knows you build from the middle out and front to back!

DB, at least the naysyaers don't keep changing their minds. They've made choices & stick with them. You're this boards version of John kerry in 2004 (FLIP FLOP) LOL

Rex`s Bowel,

At 1:45 LOL!!

fin4life:

and while you are passing on onfo re Plaxico's whereabouts, let me know if you come across Derik Mason too. He missed an appointment with me yeterday.

It is so early , I don't think it will make a real difference, How ever they definitely need to tighten up security and if they are open to anyone , that means anyone can show up like somebody working for the pats, they have been known to do that.

Guys,

You also have to realize the screen names of some of the Henne naysayers are computer generated "hit" promoters. You're not talking to real people. Youre talking to computer produced IT plants that are used to promote more blog hits.

dying ive always said i dont care what they say about practice, means nothi ng

Armando,

CAN WE GET A PRACTICE BLOG PLEASE!!!!

DB,

Thanks good read!!

Joe Shmoe,

Your 1:58 PM post is the dumbest thing I ever heard. If your car were headed off of a cliff and you suddenly became aware. I guess dumba*sses like you would continue to head off of that cliff because your egotistical defect wouldnt allow you to change your course.

Not being able to change your mind when presented with eveidence contrary to prior belief is the most idiotic thinking ever. Why the hell do you simpleton blockheads think God gave us ability to recorrect or redirect our course anyway.

Guess if you were driving in your neighborhood and a kid ran into the streets. You would simply run over the kid just because stop signs are usually only placed at street corners and it wasnt a street corner. You guys are fvcking ridiculous!!!

I doubt Ross would move the team out of Miami. After all, there aren't many pseudo-fans in the U.S. NFL universe that would prefer having "entertainment" at the stadium, instead of a winning football team.

EVERY ONE,DYING BRED CHANGES HIS MIND MORE THEN THE WETHER IN MIMIA, JUST WAIT 15 MINUTES HE'LL POST SOMETHINK DIFERENT,GOTTAS WONDER IF HE'S 3 DEFFERENT PEOPLE.

dusty bottom,

Oh but you naysayers are basing basing early 2011 Henne hating on his sour practices. You come out in even greater drove then. When he has good practices then you guys say it means nothing, but means everything when he has a bad one.

Truth be told, it seems Henne bashers love it more when Henne hjas bad practices because in your skewed opinions it more accurately represents the venom you seek to release.

OH, YEAH. DID I MENTION MANY POST HERE ARE ALOCO TAKING BOTH NEGATIVE AND POSITVE POSITIONS ON THE TEAM, BUT COWARDLY HIDES BEHIND VARIOUS STRANGE SCREEN NAMES?

db, I guess you missed the sarcastic tone of the post? LOL

Changing your long held position based on a couple of preseason practices is also the most idiotic thing ever.

FLIPER, YOU ALREADY DRUNKING?

GREG IS A MAN OF REASON,GREAT POST.

All for the most part are phins fans here. Let's get behind Henne and give the kid some confidence instead of booing and crapping all over him. He is what we have let's support the guy as we do our . To play the game you need confidence let's give the kid some, instead of taking it away!!!!!

BTW, what evidence are you referring to exactly?? Oh that's right, your opinions based on Armando's & other web writers opinions.

Who knew opinions formulated on other opinions constitues evidence? You apparently.

And since you chose to be another in the long line of condescending minions on this board, I will engage you. Before calling someone a simpleton, please check your mirror first. :)

Joe, I will tell you this. I think you are a very smart person and think your opinions out well. I know you don't care what I think also...

that out of the way...

These posts are not the place to debate with you. Especially for me.

I hate typing, and do not type all that fast. so by the time my point gets out there, there is a new discussion going on and everything gets misconstrued.

Anyway, It is to bad I can not debate, face to face with you, because I think the point comes out better, especially about the Green Bay game ect...

My point is you gave 5 examples of other teams who had QB's and struggles @ oline with no excuses. And the big problem here is you are comparing teams with different philosophy's, game plans, coaches, players ect...

Last year Henning was bad real bad, you want facts there is one, he got canned.

2nd fact, we lost downs trying to force the wildcat on everone and they knew what was coming.

3rd fact, Other teams knew our game plan more than some of our own. That came out into plain sight.

I am not going to debate the Henne thing anymore with you. But the people who are positives will give the benefit of the doubt for that.

It does not matter how long they want to. The thing is you at this point in the season are no more right than anyone else.

I mean that respectfully

By the way Denver fans made excuses for Tebow not lighting things up, and called for the head of orton last year.

dying, again, i dont care about practice ,good or bad. they mean nothing

ITS TIME FOR DYINGBREED TO GO TO CHURCH NOW.

Ok Everyone, Thoughts about the upcoming year, I say 6 and 10., What do you guys think?

DB,

I think we all can agree for or against Henne that we all would like to see him succeed, I don`t think that`s in question. The point is if your sold on him being the Q.B. of the team moving foward and then based on what we`ve seen we can`t say that he is, I don`t think anybody would argue that either. I feel you on jumping on the bandwagon because he`s the Q.B. and as fans should support not hate on the guy until we see him either sink or swim by mid-season.

I `ve had alot of back and forths with you since well before the draft on Henne and we`ve always agreed that at some point we have to take a chance in the draft on a potential Franchise Q.B. On the other hand I will say that those calling for us to trade a #2 with Starks or Langford for Orton are only dilluding themselves he isn`t the guy to take us to a Title and the ones that wanted Palmer for our #1 were even crazier but a young arm with great potential thru the draft must be done and soon!!!

Poizen, I'm not telling your or anyone I'm right. I leave that up to CraigM. I simply don't make excuses.

I'm telling you what I see. It's also the same thing you see. You just chose to try to sugar coat it with: if we had different coaching, different playbook, better oline, or this or that.

If I only had $5 million I'd be rich.

I agree with the things you posted up there, but that changes zero. At the end of the day, they are excuses.

Nothing against you either, friend.

FP4,

Which 6 games do we win?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Miami has the worst sports fans in the country. Really starting mid-last season, I've been ashamed of the way fans have behaved.

Bill Belichick says thank you! Nice going guy! Oh and for someone who says it doesn't matter because we play exhibition games. If you watched them you know that we don't show blitz packages or certain offensive sets in the preseason so they'll give us an advantage early in the season. Really nobody does.

ITS TIME FOR DYINGBREED TO GO TO CHURCH NOW.

WTF,WILL THE CHURCH BURST INTO FLAMES?DYING BREAD WOULD SELL HIS MOTHER FOR 2 PIECES OF SILVER,JUST LIKE JUDAS DID AND SAY SHEE DESERVED IT.

we will beat: houston,at jets, denver, washington, buffalo, oakland

fin4,

My "official" stance on Henne is that I'm beginning to like some of the things Im hearing from camp. Many were my greatest concerns about him. Has he addressed evry single concern? Absolutely not.

My official Henne stance is Im willing to "cautiously moved forward." Im not totally stuck in the mud of 2010 as the detractors seem to be.

New post up.,2 cents I'll answer in the next blog, Gotta look at the Schedule.

well dying henne will ruin 2011 for us. we could be solid with a decent qb

I believe everybody knows(or should reason it out) that ALL the Teams tape all other Teams open practices. I mean, that's why they have closed practices, don't they?

Rumor has it that Henne's play has been so bad that when the person(s) tried to upload to the internet the video of Henne practicing, the internet refused.

Ba-da-dum!

I'll be here all day. :-)

Im not totally stuck in the mud of 2010 as the detractors seem to be.

Posted by: DyingBreed | August 10, 2011 at 02:32 PM

No, you're gullable enough to believe what other people say about things you have never seen with your own eyes.

In your opinion, which is worse?

DB,

I hear that!!

"My official Henne stance is Im willing to "cautiously moved forward." Im not totally stuck in the mud of 2010 as the detractors seem to be."

Posted by: DyingBreed

You'll be snatched back into the mud by October. Giving Henne another chance is like throwing good money after bad...he simply doesn't have what it takes.

dusty bottoms,

Since youre not basing your negative Henne analogy on the good or bad of practice. It means youve placed all of your negative eggs in one basket based on:

"THE FIRST FULL SEASON AS A STARTER BY A 3RD YEAR QB".

We all know thats a very foolish approach too. Henne hasnt been truly awful, though he has had some truly awful moments. That isnt too uncommon for a very young qb in his first full season as a starter.

Still, there are signs coming out of this camp Henne is making some progress. As there are still some signs he's still a young qb going into his 2nd full season as a starter.

Why dont some of you irrate supposed fans just go find yourselves another team to go root for. Since unquestionably this one seems top be your root cause of everything thats bad about living.

Why dont you go somewhere and find a nice place to die already or get a fvcking new team foaming at the mouth babbling idiots!

Db, since you're ignoring my questions, I'll continue asking. From 1 simpleton to another.

1. What progress have you ACTUALLY seen, not read about, that made you change your mind?

2. Which is worse:

A. Changing your opinions based on what other people tell you or

B. Not changing your opinion because you haven't seen "evidence to the contrary"

Come on, man up.

Dying Breed-
Don't let the naysayers get to you.

Any reasonable fan had questions about Henne coming into the season, and any reasonable fan can see he's making some progress, and MIGHT just be OK.

Unfortunately there's a lot of UNREASONABLE "fans" here. Oh well. It's way to early to know what Henne will do this season, but we have to have hope. Barring a miracle, Henne and Moore are all we've got to work with at QB this year.

WE appear to have better coaching and a better supporting cast on offense this year. There is reason for hope. It's not blind optimism. The last 10 days of practice have been encouraging.

Regardless of what happens this season, whoever handles our draft had better start taking a chance on a franchise QB for down the road. If you end up with 2 quality QB's, that's NOT a problem. Zero quality Qb's is a BIG problem.

I have to jump into this one because it drives me absolutely f**ing nuts when people call someone outside of politics a flip flopper. "Formulate an opinion and stick with it". That is the dumbest most short sighted statement ever made.

In politics one needs to feel the people representing them aren't going to be indecisive in times of need. That they are going to represent you properly, you voted for them because you mostly agree with their point of views therefore they had better not change that point of view or else they will be labeled as a flip flopper.

But in sports or most ANYTHING else in life people change their opinions every day.

"Hey I watched that new running back for the past few days and I think he's going to start".
The next 5 days he stinks it up so, "well I probably spoke too soon because that RB has regressed and probably won't make the team".

Those types of things aren't flip flopping! It's called rational decision making based on ever changing facts and situations. It is irrational to formulate an opinion only to have a situation change but then stick with that opinion even though the facts scream for a change of mind. Animals don't even behave that way. If a deer travels the same route every day to take a dump because he loves the scenery and then one day his route becomes flooded he doesn't continue to walk through the water until he drowns. He changes his route! Do the other deer laugh and call him a flip flopper? Only if they're mentally challenged.

I used to like Count Chocula cereal but now I like Cheerios. Am I a flip flopper or did I have a simple change of opinion? :) sheesh

fin72,

The naysayers dont get to me. I just love choosing my battles. Today Ive decided to break out the gloves. LOL...

finsfan72, what progress have you seen? DB hasn't answered so perhaps you will.

I don't mean what you've read on this webstie or what other reporters claim to see & have written about.

What have you actually seen? I am genuinely curious.

"Why dont some of you irrate supposed fans just go find yourselves another team to go root for."

Posted by: Dying Breed

Typical response from a person who is asked why he's painted himself into a corner - he changes the subject.

There is no reason, NONE, to think that Henne is going to be any better than he's been in the past.

Most would consider you refusing to answer questions posed directly to you as ducking out. HARDLY considered fighting a battle.

Just sayin'

A few issues with this...

First now that the Phins have announced to the world, and Armando as well, guess we can be sure some cracker jack has snatched the videos in question and are distributing them as we speak.

Second, what kind of security do they have in Miami? First, the immediate members should be walking around and paying attention. 10 and 15 minute videos should be pretty apparent to anyone looking for cameras or phones, heck recording devices in general...

Lastly, the security administration of the Dolphins should have handled this quietly and had the videos removed and showered the upcoming public practices with signs, diligent security patrol, and had the announcer make it clear several times during the practice that anyone found videotaping or taking photos of practice will be removed immediately.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? THIS IS HOW THEY HANDLE IT?

"I used to like Count Chocula cereal but now I like Cheerios. Am I a flip flopper or did I have a simple change of opinion? :) sheesh"

Posted by: LouD

Yet, you don't tell people who don't share your high opinion of Cheerios that they should get a new cereal, do you?

Extending Dying Breed's logic, most Dolphins fans should have switched teams after Marino retired since we certainly haven't had a good one since he was in uniform.

Posted by: LouD | August 10, 2011 at 02:50 PM

If you're going to critique my post, you can address me, LouD.

See, your fundamental flaw is you talked about FACTS. Yes, I agree. When presented with FACTS, people DO change their opinions.

The problem in this case is, a person is changing their mind based on what someone else has seen & wrote about. But, did not witness it themselves.

That isn't being rational. That's being a gullable fool.

Just sayin'

Joe-
YOu must not believe the earth is round. Surely you haven't been to space to see it for yourself.

What a retarded argument.

BY ALL REPORTS-there is a lot of reasons to be encouraged, you IDIOT

Vicious body blow!!

Wow Dying, you alright today? So far, I haven't seen or read anything that says Henne is much different from last year. One day pretty decent, next day terrible.

Could be he gets better as the season progresses or maybe not...it's still very early.

I personally doubt it but as a long time Miami Dolphin fan, I hope he does improve.

Joe, you keep asking what anyone has seen...

Your point to making excuses was quoting other teams and situations, San Diego, Chicago, Denver, and claiming there were no excuses.

you did not see that or read that? I think you assumed it because you have not heard it in the media. Is that right?

Wouldn't that be similar?

Makes no sense does it Nick? Let's post to the NFL, Billy B in New England and the world that they can get a great look, in High Quality according to Mando, the newest playbook the Dolphins are installing. It was bad enough everyone had Henning's playbook because he had used it since 1952....LMAO!

"BY ALL REPORTS-there is a lot of reasons to be encouraged, you IDIOT"

Posted by: finsfan72

ALL reports? That's a lie and you know it.
There are reports out there that Henne has been strug-uh-ling.
