Lee Evans on the trade block? So ...?

Lee Evans is on the trading block in Buffalo, the entire NFL has known for a couple of days.

He's good. Last year was frustrating and injury shortened and disappointing from a production standpoint and he still caught 37 passes for a 578 yards, which is a 15.6 yard per catch average.

He is a classic deep threat sideline receiver.

The Dolphins lack one of those that is proven.

And I seriously doubt when Evans is traded, he will be wearing Miami colors. It doesn't fit. Trades within a division are rare in the NFL. The Dolphins would have to give up something for Evans and they seem too satisfied with their current crop of receivers to make such an offer.

It would require some major boldness by Jeff Ireland to see him as an upgrade at age 30, convince himself he wants Evans, convince Buffalo to give him up to a rival, and somehow negotiate the deal.

I'd like it. But don't see it. Only reason I'm telling you is I've already gotten 12 e-mails and a couple of tweets from Dolphins fans wondering why Miami doesn't make this move.

Arizona has been mentioned as a trade partner. Baltimore, Jacksonville and the New York Giants, too. So, again, it would be a pleasant surprise if he ends up in Miami but that's improbable. I would, instead, consider him not ending up in with New England or the Jets a victory of sorts.

Just sayin'.

ROB....I WAS JOKING....CAN I OFFEND THE BEST BLOGGER EVER GRACED THIS BLOG ,CAN I BITE THE HAND THAT FED ME ???????

NO WAY

CHEERS......

Hi Armando,

I think the fins need to sign Henne to about a 2-4 extension. We can get him cheap at this point. If he happens to surprise us all and show marked improvement well we got him pretty cheap. And if he doesnt well then we paid for what we got which is a #2 qb.

What do you think?

Aloco,

It's a great line from one of the best movies of all time... Tombstone.

Even if you don't like westerns, you have to liek that one.

Doc Holiday (played by Val Kilmer) says it early in the movie.

Watch it...it's great.

Cheers,

Did Miami call NE about Mankins last year??? Just saying.... I don't think it will happen because A. As u said, trades within the division dont happen unless you are the dolphins and trade Welker to NE...and B. It's the dolphins, they don't like playmakers or make moves to get guys we think would make sense...

FLIPPER IS ACTING LIKE A GREEDY CEO OR LIKE A YOUNG BAseball manger trying to screw henne ,,,,,NO WAY FLIPPER ...HENNE WILL BREAK THE BANK W/HIS NEW CONTRACT .............

ALoco-
this blog would be NOTHING without you...

Did you run off DB? Haven't seen him all night!

Aloco,

Thanks for the props (you're making me blush now dang it!) ;)

I know you are a fun loving Fin fan.

I also know that behind all those cap locks and misspellings is a very high intellect.

I do believe you have already made tons of money my friend and just blog for fun.

No Subway subs for you...Lobster Subs (at worst)

Thanks a ton for the stock tips.

Cheers brudda!

ROB... I SAW THAT MOVIE...IT'S A REAL GOOD MOVIE .

Quem sabe vamos jogar melhor?

I BET ANY ONE ,IF YOU WALK DOWN TOWN MIAMI ,I CAN PICK PEOPLE NAMED OSCAR BY HOW SHORT THEY ARE .......DID ANY ONE KNOWS A TALL OSCAR ?

Baddest Man in the WHOLE DAAAM TOWN !!!!

Hi Fans,
I know some of you are a little upset after seeing Ryan Mallet light it up in tonight's preseason game. Sure he has shown more tonight then Henne has shown his entire professional career. But we have no doubt that within the next 4-5 years, Henne will turn into a HOF QB. He has all the tools to be the next Drew Brees. That is why you need to forget about Mallet and continue to support Chad Henne. Thank you for your support!

Love,

Jeff

Oscar DelaHoya?

OSCAR DELAHOYA IS 5 FT 7 IN

It was a joke, ALoco..

RYAN MALLET 12-19 164YDS/1TD FOR PATRIOT'S TODAY1

Interesting stats from Broncos game tonight:

Kyle Orton: 2/6 for 37 yds

Tim Tebow: 6/7 for 91 yds

It's just preseason, doesn't mean much, but interesting...

AND HOYER WUTH 3 TD ...THE FUTURE BRADY .........

Oscar the grouch was another shortie :)

Vince Young: 3/5 for 45 yds

Good article up by Greg Cote: "Ditch Doom and Gloom Dolfans"

Definitely NOT in the Gang of Defeat!

Question for Phin Phans:

What do you do when you see your wife staggering around in the back yard?

Shoot her AGAIN!

WHAA - WHaa - whaaaaaaaaaaaa..........

The Patriots have some pretty solid depth, so Mallet was playing with some gamers.

The jags pretty much suck across the board, starters and all. Let alone thier third teamers.

So Mallet tore up a bunch of guys that couldn't even play in the CFL.

Woo-WHOOOOOOO!!!!

PATS........ 545
JAX...........12

Rob, keep our picks for next year, while Henne is weakest link!

Rob, best OK Corral movie, Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas!

BURT LANCASTER WAS NO GOOD AS AN ACTOR .

Rob, Gunfight at the OK Corral, Kilmer's movie was alright!

Whoa. Nothing like a 47-12 preseason result to make me glad I'm not a Jaguar fan.

See, you guys? It could be a lot worse in Miami. Henne will shock the NFL (and himself) this year, posting 20 TDs to Marshall, another half-dozen or so to Reggie out of the flat and on screens. Say five to Bess in the slot, Hell give Hartline a couple. Clyde to get five, at least. Did I leave anybody out? Oh yeah, Wallace and Marlon Moore will get another six between them. So 42 TDs against >10 picks will send young Chad Henne to the playoffs and his first Pro Bowl.

[Dorothy, wake up!]

Read Cote's article, guys. It makes some sense.

If Henne was surrounded by the Pats, he might be as good as Mallet!

Good one Odinseye-
Wives are a pain in the ass. I've had 4 of them, they suck!

Aloco, you're nuts! Lancaster was great, did his own stunts....Hollywood royalty!

Finsfan72, I've had 3, no more, rather be single!

No more for me-I'm done, a confirmed bachelor for the rest of my days!

Ronnie Brown playing well, so is Vince Young, the Eagles have a great Oline!

It seems like I'll never find a woman that will marry me.

I don't get it? I'm charming, suave and debonaire, caring, sharing and sensitive................

Go figure?

It's really wierd now that I think about it. I mean, they love me, spend my money, they Party with me(and I mean they PARTY with me).

I seriously don't understand. I always feel like I do a good job. I mean I almost kill myself trying to make sure it's the best ever and almost every single one of them get all Doe eye'd and smiley then give the same response. It usually goes like this:

"Wow, I never did THAT with ANYONE. Seriously, THAT was...........DIFFERENT".

Just when I think I've found the one, just when I think I really knocked the hair off it, they start acting wierd.

It's like they don't want me to meet their friends or they don't want their parents to know their actually "involved" with me. It almost feels like they don't want to be seem in public with me.

This where it gets confusing. It's like a routine. I figure I banged them so hard they had to of fell in love with me.

Then they act like they don't know me all week.

Then they show up at my door and bang all weekend!

It's a vicious circle and it leaves me feeling terribly used.

I try and I try, but, to no avail.

Oh well, BOTTOM"S UP!!!!

I creamed my Zubaz thinking of Henne to Evans. Going limp.

You guys are some sick f^ckers...I love that about you!

I'm calling for jeff and tony's heads...this is crap! Hey Ross...nice fireworks you fool...I fart louder than your cheap drug store fireworks!

Odin!!! I need to go up and slap you! As soon as you marry them, you loose 'em! Stay single! FGS!!!!

Yes finsfan72, we are sick and love it....you too buddy!

Odin yes, bottoms up, or any other orifice!!!!

Odin yes, bottoms up, or any other orifice!!!!

i have no life really, so i get my jollies making up fantasy hotties. there is only one blogger here that has a constant need to let everyone know he is getting some action, and thats me, true or not, i talk a good game..ur, i think. man my hotties are hot!

i have a new hot hottie almost every week, and i mean hot!!!! where i meet them i forgot. why they like me i forgot. but they are hot!! police chief daughters, judges daughteres, really young and cute, i'm robbong the cradle. or is it rosie? i get confused.

Henne arrives for parade riding a giant fire breathing dragon wearing a red flowing cap and laughing maniacly at his miniuns. In Bayfront park some Henne haters shall be dragged forth were they will fall to there knees there ringeader shammy in front were they will bare witness to the AWE!! that is the Henne.

Henne HAS to prove himself, I hope it's now!

Dream on.

Hennestinks, Vince Young, cheap at the time would have been worth the risk. Better than Henne, Moore and Devlin together! But that's my opinion only!

I seriously doubt miami even has lee evans on the radar as available and interested in....now if it was Tiki Barber, then thats another story!

Refresh

Miami has Emmit Smith on their radar...

Where is everyone

I'm not convinced we have a QB that can throw the deep ball anyway so a trade would be a waste.

How is Clyde Gates looking?

Evans only makes too much sense
this front office is busy turning over rocks
and trying to find talent by suprise
they never sign what they need and give Henne
some more proven weapons

team needs a WR and a TE
