The Dolphins are holding on so far at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Yes, they gave up a TD pass from Colt McCoy to Josh Cribbs that victimized Sean Smith in one-on-one coverage. That tied the game at 7-7 in the second quarter. McCoy has otherwise struggled, completed only 5 of 14 passes for 73 yards. He has a 47.6 rating right now.
But Dan Carpenter connected on a 23-yard field goal to give the Dolphins back the lead at 10-7.
Chad Henne is playing very well so far. He's completed 15 of 19 for 191 yards and one TD. His quarterback rating is 126.1.

reggie bush just looks like a complete and utter waste at this point...waiting for a reason why miami picked him up right now......still waiting...
Posted by: superPHIN | September 25, 2011 at 02:28 PM
DB,
This team needs a confidence boost right now. A victory on the road, regardless of the score will help them.
Posted by: Craig M | September 25, 2011 at 02:23 PM
CraigM,
Wake up! This game win or lose only proves how much more difficult it will be to beat the "GOOD TEAMS".
If you cant put away bad teams its a sure sign its going to be a very long season!
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 25, 2011 at 02:29 PM
O yeah and darren sproles scored yet again for the saints....*lmao* where u at reggie????

LOL.......................................................
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 25, 2011 at 02:30 PM
We shouldn't be struggling to beat this team without even their best back.
Posted by: comment | September 25, 2011 at 02:30 PM
I agree with DB...this game proves nothing except that miami is only three points better than a team they SHOULD be a lot better against.....they were better than cleveland last year and still lost by three....just sayin
Posted by: superPHIN | September 25, 2011 at 02:31 PM
Jags and Panthers need to trade in the cleats for water ski's. LOL....
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 25, 2011 at 02:31 PM
Fewer Fins mistakes so far - Against a better opponent - Fins might be behind a TD or more.
Wish they could get Gates and Marshall in on the same play to stretch the Browns defense and throw underneath or go for a bomb.

This game only has the potential to put us behind in the 2012 "Suck For Luck" chase. Nothing more nothing less dolfans!

Reggie Bush so far today: Five rushes for minus-1 yard.

so down 14-10 soon
Posted by: ctphinsfan | September 25, 2011 at 02:35 PM
Why are we letting them run without impunity? Wake Up!
Posted by: David | September 25, 2011 at 02:36 PM
If U guys look at every end zone throw by Henne 90% are thrown over the heads of our guys by at least 6-8 feet every time. Can that not be corrected? Or just stop throwing those ?? I dont get what these coaches are doing to help us get better.

Reggie Bush so far today: Five rushes for minus-1 yard.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 25, 2011 at 02:35 PM
Not even Jesse James ever had it so easy. We're paying $5 million a year for this!
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 25, 2011 at 02:37 PM
Armando-Why do our corners ply off the opponent and let them gain so many yards before tackling them forward for more yards?
Posted by: David | September 25, 2011 at 02:38 PM
I must admit I was holding out hope that the Fins would prove all the nay sayers wrong. Even after the NE loss, I couldn't help feel good about what looked to be a new and improved Henne. I thought we were finally going to have a legit offense to complement our "top 5" defense.
Now I just want to curl up in the fetal position and sucky my thumb..... We are not a very good football team.
I feel for Tony S. I truly feel he is/can be a good coach. I personally place more blame at Jeff Ireland's feet for his horrible FA moves, and mediocre drafting. Tony only has so much talent to put on the field.
Posted by: Phintastic | September 25, 2011 at 02:38 PM
Note to the Miami Dolphins: Cover Ben Watson!
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 25, 2011 at 02:38 PM
Browns r rolling!!
Posted by: ctphinsfan | September 25, 2011 at 02:38 PM
This is a pathetic way to start the half for the Dolphins.
Posted by: The New Kid | September 25, 2011 at 02:38 PM
Are we ever gonna be able to cover a TE? Ever?? Been years now we cant do that? WTF
Posted by: PhinsFan4Life | September 25, 2011 at 02:38 PM
Damn! Just like I posted. Browns come out and tie or take the lead on the opening 2nd half possession.
Pathetic how easy these Dolphins are to predict!
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 25, 2011 at 02:39 PM
Yeahh Reggie Bush... Subtraction by addition.
Posted by: JJ | September 25, 2011 at 02:39 PM
Interestingly, the fact that we are all here PROVES we all bleed Fins.
Why else would we spend time watching a mediocre football game, featuring our beloved team, which has NO chance to make the playoffs, with at least 10 teams in the AFC clearly MUCH better than we, coached much better than we, with personnel much better than we.
But we watch hope, bleed, scream, curse, pray (at least SOME OF US) all BECAUSE we love our team.
The one exception being Armando, who MUST observe the proceedings, though I believe he has proven he feels for us.
I salute all you, whether we agree or disagree from time to time.

Posted by: Kim's ex(no not the guy in the sex vid) | September 25, 2011 at 02:41 PM
DB,
This game is going to prove nothing either way. Tehy are who they are. But I'll take a narrow victory over a loss any day and if that's only a morale victory then so be it.
Posted by: Craig M | September 25, 2011 at 02:41 PM
At least they are held to three
Posted by: Sandoval | September 25, 2011 at 02:41 PM
Aother realistic prediction:
Browns convert fg and Dolphin 3 and out thier 1st 2nd half possession.
I know my Dolphins but still hold out very faint hope that Im wrong!

Posted by: Tony Fumblano | September 25, 2011 at 02:43 PM
CraigM,
If the dolphins miss out on winning the Andrew Luck sweepstakes by one win. We'll look back at this narrow victory you wanted so much to have.
Ok buddy?
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 25, 2011 at 02:43 PM
I am probably in the minority here, but I think Bush is a good player.
It's just that the Dolphins are using him wrong. He's a third down back. Period. Get him in space, use him as a weapon in space.
Dolphins not doing that.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 25, 2011 at 02:44 PM
Henne may throw for 400 yrds....but with 1 td...that would be VERY SAD!!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | September 25, 2011 at 02:44 PM
I don't care if it IS just the Browns. 13-15 for almost 170 yards and a TD is really fudging good. He needs to start trying/hitting some downfield throws but otherwise Chad Henne is a good QB. He's poised and decisive. He still has work to do but I don't know how anyone can do anything but give this kid credit for getting it together and taking big steps while remaining handicapped by a sub-par coaching staff. This team has young talent. Somebody will wrangle it.
Posted by: Sideshow Bill | September 25, 2011 at 02:45 PM
Why we didn't get Darren Sproles, Jeremy Shockey, Jimmy Graham, and other game changers when we had plenty of money to do so is a crime punishable by termination of one Jeffrey Ireland.
Also he drafts people who are experts at us starting drives at the 10 by getting holding and block in the back penalties.
Posted by: David | September 25, 2011 at 02:45 PM
Let's see if Henne's development has improved on not clamming up when he needs to least. My money says he clams up this drive until he proves otherwise!
