Dolphins lose to Texans, 23-13, to go 0-2

The Dolphins have lost again, this time to the Texans, 23-13.  It's bad, folks.

The team is not only 0-2 but 0-2 at home. It's bad, folks.

The Dolphins are winless. Everyone else in the AFC East is undefeated. It's really bad.

Now Miami goes on the road three consecutive game, including trips to San Diego and the New York Jets.

All I can say is no one's job can be considered safe right now -- even if we're just two games into the season. It's bad, folks.

IM NOW FIRMLY CONVINCED BOTH VONTAE AND SMITH ARE UNDERACHIEVERS. THIS WAS VONTAE'S RAP IN COLLEGE.

Odinseye; LOL @ 8:23 and spot on

DANSBY WILL BE RELEASED TO SAVE 24 MILLION .

Lets face it. The problem with this team is it is FULL of "Chad Henne" type players. What I mean is, Every player on this team is either below average, average mediocre, or slightly above average (very few). For the exemption of one, maybe three players, whom I would keep. We have a few that are overpaid big time (Dansby and Solia, for example). Chad Henne is, and will always be, a decent backup QB in this league. Nowadays, the elite teams have superior players in what is the most important position in the game, that being the quaterback. Look what's happening with the Colts now. And look what one guy named Brady did to us last week. This organization had several opportunities at bringing in talent at the QB position, ie, Dew Brees, Matt Ryan, Michael Vick, after the departure of Marino. But it failed big big time. And it hasn't gotten any better either. Coaching is a joke, and we have an egotistical guy that must be smoking crack or something else, responsible for bringing in talent. My friends lets get down from the cloud. Its gonna take someone truely experienced to come in and clean house and start all over again. But prioroty one needs to that Marino, gunslinging, accurate QB THAT WE HAVE NOT HAD IN SO SO MANY EARS.

Marshall only catches half the balls thrown to him. He should give half the money back.

Not to be disrespectful, but that not spending crap is just that.

Per the new CBA, every owner has to spend at least 90% of the alloted cap per season.

Spending is not the issue.

It's what we're spending it on.

BTW, Thomas was playing real well, where was thechange of pace/mix it up with him and Bush?

Brandon Marshall offered the perfect summation for the whole offense. β€œI don’t even know what happened,” he said.

Sparano said it's "baffling" LoL...are you serious! And he said "I don't have an answer"
Geeze guys this is bad...we are what our record says we are...afc east doormats

All the Homers, Should we give Chad(Fatneck) Henne another season to show he's just a back-up???, Where are the "HOMERS" At anyway, There way to quiet tonite....LOL

Why haven't we seen any plays with bush and Thomas in the backfield together...it might create a mismatch or confusion for the opposing D

Henne sucks, a lot of coach's and players suck

OUR DEFENSE WAS BETTER DURING THE 1-15 SEASON. IT WAS THE OFFENSE THAT TRULY STUNK. NEVER HAVE I CONSISTENTLY SEEN A DOLPHINS DEFENSE STRUGGLE TO GET OFF THE FIELD. NOT SINCE OLIVADOTTI!

Mr. Ross, click you heals three times and repeat after me:

There's no place like home.
There's no place like home.
There's no place like home.

Actually, this team can't win at home.

Pathetic.

Lets face it. The problem with this team is it is FULL of "Chad Henne" type players

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You are correct. This team goes for cheap lower round players in the skill positions and passes on the home run hitters. So instead of a "Dez Bryant" type we get a "Clyde Gates"

Good LUCK with the rest of the season!!!!!
Henne Homers, I feel for you. The guy is good but lacks killer insticts and is easily rattled when it comes to pressure.
That's the difference between him and mediocre sanchez.

Can anyone, AND THE CUBAN MENACE MEANS ANYONE, Say something good about the Phins????, Please...

ANYONE NOTICED OUR TE'S HAD 0 RECEPTIONS TODAY?

SPARANO WAS PLAYING 6 OLINEMEN TO HELP RUN AND PASS PROTECT, THAT MEANT KEEPING THE TE'S ON THE SIDELINE.

BTW, THE EXTRA OLINEMAN WAS ON COLUMBO'S SIDE. MR SPARANO YOU DID SAY YOU SAW THE TAPE ON SPARANO RIGHT? STILL YOU SIGN A OLINEMAN YOU HAVE TO PUT AN EXTRA OLINEMAN NEXT TO, ELIMINATING YOUR TE FROM THE GAME AND HENNE WAS STILL HARRASSED ALL GAME LONG.

JUST FVUKING BRILLIANT!

Can anyone, AND THE CUBAN MENACE MEANS ANYONE, Say something good about the Phins????, Please...

YEAH, WE'RE GETTING INTO THE REDZONE A LOT QUICKER BEFORE BOGGING DONE. SPARANO FIXED THE CHUNK YARDAGE ISSUE BUT FORGOT WE NEED TO SCORE POINTS ONCE DOWN THERE!

I LONG FOR THE DAYS OF LOSING A GAME DESPITE PLAYING WELL!

SHULA TEAMS HARDLY EVER BEAT THEMSELVES. NOW THE OPPOSITION CAN NEARLY COUNT ON 10 GIFT POINTS BEFORE EVR EARNING A TRIP INTO THE ENDZONE THEMSELVES!

I See by the score ole fisty went for 2 FGs..., Somethings never change.... FIST PUMP CITY BABY...., LOL, I also saw with 8 minutes left down by 10 they punted... WOW, What else can I say...

LAST SEASON EVEN WHEN WE WON IT WAS UGLY!

We turned our nose up on Vick, Dez byant, plaxico, and mallet. They were beneath us... Lol glad we ended up with better people. 3 of them are on undefeated teams tho and are huge contributors. Excep mallett.

Does Tony have any regrets about his lunch time speech? When he told us the team would win? Win what? Last place?

I wonder when fans will start wearing the paper bags to home games, All 25 thousand of them????

CHEAP FRONT OFFICE' WHO RELY ON THE DRAFT TOO MUCH...THAN THEY DON'T WANT TO BRING NEW PLAYERS CAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO MESS UP THE CHEMISTRY..AND THE PLAYERS THEY DRAFTED AREN'T THAT GOOD BUT THEY CONTINUE TO RELY ON THOSE PLAYERS CAUSE THEY DRAFTED THEM..BUT THOSE PLAYERS STINK...AND THEY'RE TRYING TO BUILD UP THERE RESUME FOR THERE NEXT JOB.PEACE!

It's easy to just sit back and talk about trashing the entire team. Especially when extenuating circumstances clouds up perspective.

Henne's a back up, SpOrano's a bum and Ireland is retarded. That's all fine and dandy.

The thing is though, for the MOST part, this team played well enough to win. The real problem is were not good enough to overcome our own mistakes.

If it's not undisciplined stupid penalties, it's a mental mistake. After those, it's a simple failure to execute.

4 plays made the difference today and three should have been straight up gimmees!

1 and 2 were Carpenters CHIP SHOT field goals. Inexcusable. The one that got blocked was basically an extra point! He whiffed and didn't get the elevation. More his fault than an awesome defensive play or even bad blocking.

3. Marshall's drop in the endzone! Nuff said.

4. Carrol's non coverage of Johnson. I don't know if Jones was supposed to be over the top, but he should have been. Either way, it was either Nolans playcall or a mental error. Lack of execution!

5. This ones optional, but Thomas's fumble was just absolutely fvcking horrible. We had momentum going and it just took the wind out of our sails. I wouldn't count this one against Thomas so much as I would give the defender credit for a text book forced fumble. He put his hat right on the ball.

Anyways, the whole point of my useless drivel, is that even when we play well enough to win(which is rarely anymore)we find a way to beat ourselves.

Like our fearless leader, in whoose image we're made, all were really consistant at is "Beating Ourselves"-FIST PUMP!

PS: Pun Intended!

I still think Tony Dungee still looks like the wierd uncle that comes over to the house that you really want your kids around...

Correction, Really DONT want your kids around...

DB @ 11;38,

It's even more brilliant than you give credit.

We keep 4 Fvcking TE's on the roster and start an O-Lineman as the TE!

FIST PUMP!!!!

BLAH...BLAH....WHAT DID YOU EXPECT....A WINNING TEAM? STOP LISTENING TO THE HYE OF THE REPORTERS THAT COVER THE FINS...THEY HAVE TO BE KIND.....WE HAVE ANOHE LOSING TEAM AND THE 12-15 HUNT C0NTINUES...WITH ROSS NOTHING WILL CHANGE. HIS GREAT PLAN WAS TO BRING IN THE "BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE' AND MAKE IT "COOL TO BE AT THE GAME" SORRY ROSS,YOUR EST HOPE IS TO FOLLOW WAYNE, GET OUT AND GIE THE FANS A BREAK.

odin,

My deal isnt about spreading individual blame. When looking at the entire picture over a course of 3yrs this is consistently how we always lose. Every unit has a hand in it. Different players, same results.

When do we start blaming the fo and hc? 3yrs and we're still losing the same exact way only with different players.

Sanbar777 Sounds,Misspells, And Capitalzes just like a lil glue sniffing guy we all know and love, Aloco, Is this a new Alias????

DyingBreed is right, at some point you have to point to coaching. We are allways unprepared wether on defense, offense or special teams. THis has been the case since year two. This team allways finds a way to lose the game. I like Tony Sparano but he is not a HC in the NFL, not yet anyways. He is a position coach or a assistant at best.

Maybe it wasn't Henning after all. We just lose the same way, ableit a bit more stylishly.

Sparano fired after week 4, when we are 0-4....Browns don't look too bad...best time to fire someone is the Bye week.....i was going to go to Jet game in Miami...will not now....I am going to Dallas for thanksgiving game though....

This is the product we get from Sparano and Ireland, slow starts, inconsistant play from the team, and late season collapses. 4 years is enough time and they havent done it. Meanwhile the Jets who looked much like we did when this regime took over has been to two AFC games. Time for change, but who does Ross call?

I remember before henning left he said when he's gone we still will see the same crap but he wont be around to be blamed then.

Maybe Henne was trying to warn us about Sparano/Ireland! LOL..........................

Maybe Idiot Ross can get Charlie Sheen to buy into the fins, At least he can bring some "Cobra Blood" into this group.....

Would any of you call Jeff Fisher, or Bryan Billick?

Pas on both Billick and Fisher. Billick wont win unless he has a 2001 Raven D. Fisher has the bad habit of polarizing his locker room.

I allways thought Fisher teams played well, and he is still hungry... But i see your point on Billick.

Our brain trust really sucks...How are you gonna ask Reggie Bush to ONLY run between the tackles???

The talent on the team is decent but the coaching is really pathetic overall (again). I am tired of explaining my reasons such as in the past at the end of last season.

Our defense improved their disguising of blitz's but should have been ready for the Pats. It is so embarassing to keep losing at home and be outconditioned by our opponents.

At least I do not dislike Henne anymore.

ps-dowe give up on our draft picks too soon sometimes too (i.e. pat white, patrick turner, aj edds, etc) or do we not know how to properly evaluate talent? Milt Davis (RIP) would be spinning in his grave.

Reggie Bush is a dangerous weapon if used properly.

Do you think that sperano wakes up every morning and say to him self, boy i have done a good job today, sperano can not say that about him self because he is not doing a good job and he knows it, hes just here for the ride, it very ovious that this team has a serious couching problem, i would not wait i would get rid f spazano and irerlad NOW they have made enough bad decisions all-ready they cant even defend there own home turf, i for one am not going to any of there home games and i could care less if they block it out of TV, in a cooperate world these two clowns would of been gone by now.

Anyone think possibly..just possibly.. Sparano has a job already lined up with a secret buddy and he is tanking the team to get back at Ireland and Ross for leaving him hanging during the very public new coach search???

It will all come out in his memoirs when Tony is 86 years old...

Come out along with a lot of hot air and questionable smelling gas....

Funny how we all say we are done with this team......blah blah blah. I even said the same thing to my wife today. but the truth is, we will all be watching this sorry ass team again next week faithfully. Its the nature of the beast of having a favorite team. What are you gonna do? Become a Raiders fan or something? Packers? Really? If you stop being a fan of yhe Dolphins, and go to another team, your a douche bag fan that never was a fan. I'm as disappointed as the next guy, but I will watch them every week come hell or high water. I will scream and yell at the tv, i will curse marshall when he drops a TD. I will jump outta my chair when he runs over a dude to get into the endzone, and i will be sick till tuesday or so when they lose.......thats life right now on Sundays. Im sure Im not alone in this either,,,

We saw it, Ross saw it and not much changed. But now everybody knows the curtain has been lifted for all to see. This is a good thing for the needed change will now begin, the out of town bus is getting ready to depart with Tony, Jeff, Chad and lots more. Andrew Luck is getting closer for miami. With a new coach, GM, and QB we will start heading in a new direction. The loss of ticket sales and blackouts will hurt but the Fins will be back. Look for rebuilding to start mid season. GO FINS.

LUCK!!!!!!

Time to start pulling for Buffalo!

Here's looking down at you! Ride the Bills to the A,F.C.East title. Were going to kick some arse this year~~Finally

need all new coaches... way past due

How do you keep Chad Henne out of your yard? Put up a goal post.

I really hate that I'm giving up on the season so early. It's never happened before not even the 1-15 season but that year didn't have a player the caliber of Luck. With him available this year along with the fact that we've looked so inept out there that rooting to get it turned around seems futile. That would lead to another middle of the road year and the kicker would be missing out on in my mind and many others more knowledgeable than myself, a great great talent such as luck.

Cant win if you cant finish drives... cant win if you cant stop opponents' drives... simple as that...

This team is not horrible, but does it really matter at this point. They should be way better by this point of the current regime. Let me clarify by saying the talent is not horrible, but the execution is bad, bad, bad. The weakest spot talent wise is the area (other than maybe D line) where they have spent the most resources, the O line. The coach is supposed to be an O line expert and the FO made a committment from day one to make this a team srength, but the group is among the worst in the league. Other than Long, and maybe Pouncey we don't have anything but back ups. I don't know why they are down on teh running of DT. He made something out of nothing on most of his carries. Looked real good except for the fumble. While a mistake, the dude was running hard and fighting for extra yards. Why is this regime so stubborn as to let players that can contribute leave so easily. Ginn, Ronnie, Ricky. They should have kept at least one of the prior running backs. Bush is a good player and dangerous is used correctly, but not the best every down back. While we could use better QB play, I don't see why Henne takes so much heat. Between wrong routes, dropped TDs, and poor blocking it's amazing he hasn't been worse. I see other QBs such as Schaub, Flacco, Freeman to name a few make crucial turnovers, but they are considedered better because the team makes up for the mistakes as still wins. There are maybe 7 or 8 QBs that are outstanding and that list includes Roethlisberger who has made his share of bad decisions as well. The secondary is poorly coached. Look how bad Houston's secondary was last year. But they add a couple of key free agents and bring in Wade Phillips and just one year later they are significantly better. As soon as Davis got hurt a good head coach would have put Smith on Johnson and given him help. Leaving Carroll and the best receiver in the game with the only help coming from another inexperienced player is just poor coaching. The Texans have less talent in the secondary but are able to hide their weaknesses with good scheming and pressure up front. The Patriots are not loaded top to bottom with talent, but they know how to get the most out of their best players and hide their weaknesses. The Phins allow every weakness to get exploted week in and week out. It didn't take a brain surgeon to see that going with Columbo as the starter was a horrible idea, but stupid, stubborn, Sparano refused to accept that because he coached him on the Cowboys a few years ago. Time for a coaching change folks. Ireland should be on a short leash as well, but should be given more time as alot of the mistakes were made by Parcell's before he quit and ran. That was the biggest mistake of all. While he probably is a hall of fame head coach, he never excelled at personnel. His philosophy is so out dated in today's NFL. Everybody could see it, but a couple of Super Bowl wins 20+ with the cheater scheming his defense has this guy so full of himself it's rediculous.

If JT was good enough to bring back yet again, which I think he was, why on earth did they let him leave twice when he begged them to stay. Another example of indecisiveness and letting ego get in the way of good decisions. Ricky was just being honest and said a few words that everybody else was thinking so they let him go for nothing. Do you really think they call that stupid fade from the one foot line if Ricky is back there running behind Polite. Dumb ass egotistical decisions has got them in this posistion.

Dolgirl L-O-V-E-S SoiledBottom's post.

Ya put a much needed smile BIG TIME on my face.

Thanks:D
