The Dolphins have lost again, this time to the Texans, 23-13. It's bad, folks.
The team is not only 0-2 but 0-2 at home. It's bad, folks.
The Dolphins are winless. Everyone else in the AFC East is undefeated. It's really bad.
Now Miami goes on the road three consecutive game, including trips to San Diego and the New York Jets.
All I can say is no one's job can be considered safe right now -- even if we're just two games into the season. It's bad, folks.

The clock is running on Sparano .

huh oris you make sense a lot....
Posted by: ctphins | September 18, 2011 at 07:27 PM
Well that's another loss folks, as sorry as this owner is, its hard to fathom even a no account, balless guy like Steve keeping the coach after another home loss. Seats are just not selling no matter how much glitter you put into the consolation prize halftime entertainment. Let's get to the usual analysis. Coach - typical mismanagment- be it wasting a timeout on a draw them off (no high school coach would even try to bluff down 10 deep in their own territory) or continued misuse of Reggie Bush - you me every announcer in the the world could come up with something other than gut plays for this guy. Henne - said it before -saying it again. NFL arm, not NFL head or good mechanics. 6'4 and batted balls = slow release and inability to look off defense and find passing lanes. Running alot more this year - will get him killed - a good qb also plays to play another day. Marshall- great at times - but undisciplined in route running, and inconsistent - top tier receivers make space and dont drop those gimme catches. Defense- ehh inconsistent as usual - some nice pass rush plays but can't make the plays WHEN they need to. Inconsistency, out of shape, can't win at home - those are hallmarks of BAD coaching. Bad coaching over a long period of time is a hallmark of a bad owner.

Start John Beck!
Posted by: Cam Cameron | September 18, 2011 at 07:27 PM
really, this is a business, right? the dolphins are a failing franchise from a financial point of view (if ticket sales are the best indication). so, someone should be accountable. in fact, i would consider the situation with the home games to be the biggest problem...people have stopped caring. even franchises like cleveland always sold out their home games in the midst of their futility.
Posted by: austin | September 18, 2011 at 07:27 PM
WTF?!?!?
Posted by: bigt160 | September 18, 2011 at 07:28 PM
Now I understand what Ricky and others meant when they said that TS micromanaged. They were referring that TS becomes so obsessed with one area of the Team that, obviously, he couldn't pay attention to other more important areas.
Posted by: oscar canosa | September 18, 2011 at 07:28 PM
Derek Hagan had a few nice catches for the raiders.....
Posted by: ctphins | September 18, 2011 at 07:28 PM
All the fans there at least got front row seats to the game....considering they had about 50,000 empty seats....
We should just cancel our home games for the year....*sad*
Posted by: superPHIN | September 18, 2011 at 07:28 PM
I told you all before the season started that this team is going no where this year! Looks like last years team with a few new faces... can't win at home... WOW
Posted by: socalfinfan | September 18, 2011 at 07:28 PM
About time this guy Salgero talks about someone beeing fired. Yeah I tell you who. The f moron coach. Man all I have is anger over this guy.
Posted by: oristela | September 18, 2011 at 07:28 PM
Blame the 11-5 season. That was such a smoke and mirror season. It gave fans false hope and also gave the front office confidence in their own decision making. I will admit...i was fooled the last 4 yrs.
Posted by: Ryan | September 18, 2011 at 07:28 PM
This team is obviously not prepared for this season. I say fire everyone and forfeit the remainding games!!!
Posted by: tiredfinfan | September 18, 2011 at 07:29 PM
WHY IS IT WHEN WE WIN HENNE IS THE HERO. WHEN WE LOSE HENNE IS STILL THE HERO AND EVERONE ELSE IS THE ZERO?

Ah man I see it coming. Ross is going to fire Sparano and bring in the circus called Gruden. Dont think Fisher nor Cowher would touch this mess!
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 18, 2011 at 07:30 PM
Wow: my Texans gave the 'Phins lots of opportunities to take over this game, but they couldn't manage to do it.
Sorry, but your team really sucks.

Welcome home, JT.
Posted by: La Brigada | September 18, 2011 at 07:30 PM
Pats 2-0
Jets 2-0
Bills 2-0
Miami 0-2
Its bad folks!
Posted by: Los Lobos | September 18, 2011 at 07:30 PM
Sparano is a dumb as a bag of hammers!
Ross threw good money after bad when he gave him a two-year extension...he'll be fired this season but it will come a season too late.
LMAO at those of you who gave me grief for saying this a 3- or 4-win team. Where is that clown boobyd12 who said we'g go 10-6? LMAO.
Posted by: Seminole Sam | September 18, 2011 at 07:31 PM
Colombo is a liability, Carrol needs to find a 9-5 because football is not his business. Reshad Jones is too dumb to play safety, after all the high draft picks on the defensive line, they decided to watch dancing with the stars instead of playing football today.
I feel sorry for JT and Cam Wake, those two are trying to hold up the whole defense by themselves.

Posted by: SoiledBottom | September 18, 2011 at 07:31 PM
0-3, then people need to get fired. No waiting, no bye, not nothing. Just straight up fired.
DO YOU OR DO YOU NOT AGREE MANDO?
Posted by: Los Lobos | September 18, 2011 at 07:32 PM
0-2 again? WTF man? can we win a game at home? Please I really want to see this coach to be fired. F it, I want to lose the next game so I can be pleased. Stop dreaming, this coach is not going to take us anywhere, meantime everyone is laughing at us. We are the Miami Dolphins, an outstanding organization with respect and we are f cursed. WTF man? When is my happines coming?
Posted by: oristela | September 18, 2011 at 07:32 PM
maybe it is an ownership issue. under joe robbie we were 225 wins and 145 losses, since then we are 169 w - 145 L, or worse
Posted by: kiicksdaman | September 18, 2011 at 07:32 PM
It doesn't matter if the defense was bad. This team will find ways to lose. If the offense is good one day, the defense will screw it up. If the defense is good, the offense will try to screw it up. This doesn't happen game to game..it happens within the game. There is no identity to this team. bring in a new regime and try again.
Posted by: Ryan | September 18, 2011 at 07:32 PM
Now you can't say you weren't forewarned.....
Posted by: 5-11 in 2011 | September 18, 2011 at 07:32 PM
A very angry fan in Butler, PA.
Posted by: oristela | September 18, 2011 at 07:33 PM
They can't be serious about winning if their gonna put Nolan Carroll on Andre Johnson. If were not at least a .500 team in mid season, I hope Stephen Ross fires Tony Sparano. Then Bring in a new GM next season because Jeff Ireland is not a good talent evaluator. They had four years. Bill Parcells failed us.
Posted by: bigtrav1 | September 18, 2011 at 07:33 PM
I WANT BILL COWHER, I WANT BILL COWHER, I WANT BILL COWHER, DANG IT!!!
Posted by: Finatic777 | September 18, 2011 at 07:33 PM
Boycott this franchise until there is total regime change(GM, coach, QB, Defense etc...)
Posted by: Regime Change | September 18, 2011 at 07:34 PM
IT IS GOING TO BE A LONG YEAR, THEY REALLY SUCK!!! TONY IS SUCH A BAD COACH IT IS UNBELIEVABLE , THAT DEFENSE I MEAN WHAT HAPPEN TO THEM THEY USED TO BE PRETTY GOOD NOW THEY SUCK AND WHAT IS UP WITH TRYING TO DRAW THE TEXANS OFF SIDES ON FOURTH DOWN JUST TO CALL A TIMEOUT THAT WAS REALLY , REALLY STUPID, BAD CALL CHAD AND TONY , TONY IS LOST PEOPLE!!!!
Posted by: scott from delaware | September 18, 2011 at 07:34 PM
Note to Sparano and Ireland do the right thing!!! Turn in your resignation effective int the morning
Posted by: ericatl | September 18, 2011 at 07:34 PM
Seminole Sam, Sparano is not dumb. Unfortunately(for him), he is something much worse.
Posted by: oscar canosa | September 18, 2011 at 07:34 PM
This is unacceptable, Im sick and tired on writing my opinion. I will have a site up tomorrow so we, de fans, the one that fill up stadiums, buy t-shirts and memorabilia, the ones that makes this team exist, can be sure Ross will listen to us and have the changes made, we suck. Whos with me?
Posted by: JAOS54 | September 18, 2011 at 07:35 PM
how do u defend a team...that looks more lost than the fans themselves in the stands....this is by far starting to look the part of 2007 all over again....just maybe not as bad....but were moving there slowly....and no pennington and defense is gonna save us this year....
Posted by: superPHIN | September 18, 2011 at 07:35 PM
FUNNY, THEY FIRED SAPP FOR SCREWING UP. ARE THEY GOING TO FIRE CARPENTER FOR SCREWING UP?
Oh wait, Carpenter is white. Seems the only people getting fired in Miami have dark skin.
Ireland should get fired just for that alone. He already disrespected Dez and his mother. Put a damn tail on this man's mother. He would never do that to Henne and his multiple marriage believing parents.
Posted by: Los Lobos | September 18, 2011 at 07:35 PM
What bothered me the most was the uninspired play, for the most part, of the defense. It's like they've already given up on the coach and season. As a fan it just ticks me off...
Posted by: compcomplex | September 18, 2011 at 07:35 PM
THEY ARE A TERRIBLE TEAM
Posted by: scott from delaware | September 18, 2011 at 07:35 PM
This franchise is a national disgrace.
Posted by: Boycott&Blackout | September 18, 2011 at 07:36 PM
Ross, would you like me to describe Sparano's "deficiency"?
Posted by: oscar canosa | September 18, 2011 at 07:36 PM
There's some talent on this team now, besides o-line and TE. This team has piss poor focus. It will only get worse as they give up on this season. Sparano seems like a nice guy who's in over his head!
Posted by: CanesRUS | September 18, 2011 at 07:36 PM
Looks an awful lot like the 1 and 15 season - without the 1 though!
Posted by: OHdolfan | September 18, 2011 at 07:36 PM
Armando keeps saying "it's bad."
Is it bad?
I think (yet another) fresh start for this regime is needed.
I heard Ireland on TV during the pre-season... what an arrogant a-hole. What's he done? He was really off-putting. He's the leader of this mess? No wonder.
Sparano is in over his head.
Been a fan since 1977.
Posted by: Arnsy | September 18, 2011 at 07:37 PM
Is it Marc Anthony JLo bad?
Posted by: FinFanFrank | September 18, 2011 at 07:37 PM
carpenter...40+ range...pretty good...25 and less range.....pretty bad!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | September 18, 2011 at 07:37 PM
It's fixable.
Posted by: Tony Sparanos Shrinking Ego | September 18, 2011 at 07:37 PM
BEING 0-2 DOESNT SUCK NEARLY AS BAD AS HOW WE BECAME 0-2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: DyingBreed | September 18, 2011 at 07:37 PM
Who would have thought that publicly flirting with other coaches then changing your mind would have worked out so poorly? What a debacle.
Posted by: theaquablues | September 18, 2011 at 07:38 PM
YOU KNOW WHO REALLY MESSED THIS TEAM UP, BILL PARCELLS. HE THE ONE WHO BROUGHT IN IRELAND AND SPARANO... WHAT ANOTHER FIVE YEAR BUILDING PHASE.
Posted by: Finatic777 | September 18, 2011 at 07:38 PM
Would you fans prefer Cam Cameron? Would you??? Wait...don't answer that.
Posted by: Tony Sparanos Shrinking Ego | September 18, 2011 at 07:38 PM
I used to laugh at you people and Armando for jumping to conclusions that the season is over, but I have to join in this year and say this is going to be a looooooong year and I have zero optimism. Only thing I will say is Henne is showing very good improvement.
