It's all about urgency today for Dolphins versus Texans

The Dolphins face a difficult challenge today in playing the Houston Texans, a team they have not beaten in five tries. T

The challenge?

Do. Not. Go. 0-2.

And the Dolphins defnitely cannot allow themselves to do that with those two losses at home. I made the point how urgent and how much urgency the Dolphins are facing in this column in today's Herald.

The truth of all the teams starting 0-2, only about 12 percent make the playoffs. The truth is the last two seasons no team starting 0-2 made the playoffs. The truth is if the Dolphins start 0-2, there will be a lot of unhappy fans -- many of whom have stopped coming to games already.

So yes, there is urgency in this game. I explain in the column how the Dolphins are showing that sense of urgency. And yes, in the video below, I give you Foreigner's take on the issue.

There will be a live blog today. I'll set up a post for that once I arrive at the stadium. See you then.

F*ck the running game.
Run-N-Shoot.
Go Henne!
Go Phins!

Jags give it tight back yo Cromartie.

Nasty ugly looking shot to Rapists ankles!

Bad News:

Sanchez will have to throw 10 picks today to lose to the awful Jags!

LOL...................................................................

Jax has no chance vs Jets. Mangold back. Uff

Cassel int.ed by Detroit!

Caldwell is done. Peyton carried that team on his shoulders completely.

Brady is great, but he can't carry a mediocre team on his shoulders like Peyton can.

3rd and 30 Stafford picks up the first down the middle!

Apparently, we are not the only ones having issues with the OL.

One play later to Calvin Johnson 1st and goal on the one.

Fvcking holding. NEVERMIND-Dooh-LOL!

Dear Mr. Salguero

Cam Newton against G.B. so far 12/18 162 yards 1 TD 1 Int plus snagged 1 Laptops 2 IPhones and an Ipad without getting caught.

Looks like a good day for Cam Newton

Soiled :)

Raiders 21 - on the Bills!

We don't give a f u c k if other teams have issue with their OL.... TS has had four f u c k I m g years and has done Crapola!!!

Lions 17-3 over KC.

Hmmm. Maybe you don't need 3 years to prove you are a good QB in the NFL.

Maybe you don't need a good coach or good team either.

Raiders now up 21-7. We may have chance to tie Bills for last place in the afc east today.

LOL............................................................

Urgency Schmurgency

Why, ray, you seem to be losing.

Lions int Cassel again!

LT been looking scared lately. He just dropped a dump over the middle with no one within 10 miles of him.

He been looking up field lately.

If we don't win today Im going to have to sacrifice a goat

Kidding...but we need a darn win today!

After blowing thru the Saints defense. Rodgers having a tough day with the lowly Panthers d. he's 10-17 for only 99yds passing.

Why, with all the footbal going on right now, is SOMEONE using three difeerent sign in names?

I thought we wer getting hits?

Oh well.....................

Min up on AZ by 3. I guess Kolb ain't all that against a guy that threw for 39 yards last week.

Once again, this management can't judge talent. Why else were they going after him?

Luke McCown's 5-13 for 54yds and 2 picks. Yet the Jags cut David Garrard. ROTFLMAO!

Hmmm. Maybe you don't need 3 years to prove you are a good QB in the NFL.

===============================================

LOL!!!! Maybe Henne was good for 3 years and the rest of the team was krap for 3 years.

I wonder, WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT MANAGEMENT?

Henne is Tuna's pick. Not Irelands!

As bad as McCown's playing the Jags may as well play the rookie. LOL...

That's weak. 5 or 6 teams wer inquiring about him. Fewer were actually trying to get him.

Miami wasn't one of them.

Huh?

Hope to see Larry Johnson pound the ball some

Los Lobos

Cam Newton is in the right spot.

If the Dolphins had picked him, they wouldn't have been able to figure out how to use him properly.

-----------------------------------------------

If this management picked Cam they would be running the Wildcat this season.

I'll give Henne a break if he puts 3 good games (back to back) together. I will never EVER give this management a break.

I hate days like this. All the good games are in the second half of the day.

Gabbert! Gabbert! Gabbert! Gabbert!

How can he do any worse? McCown? Are you kidding me? Bring in the KID!

Texans 24 Fins 17

I expect us to somehow helped the Texans put 10pts on the scoreboard and they'll earn the other 14.

The offense will again get lot's of chunk yardage but again fail to fully cash in.

Again: Texans 24 Fins 17

Broder!

I agree! Their running out of breaks! Still, they weren't going after Kolb, Armando was just fantasizing-LOL.

Odin,

Why not move UP? Here is why Odin. They are sold on Henne!!!! So they will NEVER power play to bring in a QB to lead this team.

Henne needs to put together at least 3 good games before I believe he is a starter in this league.

Remember guys so called experts said Cam won't play great because of the system he came out and his style of play won't work in today's NFL. He'll get hurt!!! I tell you guys I guarantee if the PHINS had a chance to draft him they would not drafted him they would have. Drafted Pouncy!!

I again expect Henne to throw for 300 plus yards. I also again expect not to fully cash in. Henne still showed tendancy to struggle in the red zone last week.

WHAT? You're picking AGAINST the Phins? YOU? Of ALL PEOPLE, not YOU too DB?

I'm starting to feel LONELY(sniff, sniff)........

NOT! Dolphins ARE beating the Texans TODAY!!!!

If we had Cam Newton, Sparano would have him sit on the bench for 3 years while he learned six other positions.

For all of Cam's heroics, Rodgers wants his laptop back!

49 yard TD for the lead!

Nice play by the Titans, TD!

I'm laying it all out on the line right now.

I will buy a Henne jersy if he throws for 300 yards and no picks tonight.

So I am adjusting my thinking about Henne right now. If he throws for 300+ yards and no picks then I will drink the Jesus Juice.

Man, is that Jets defence tough!

Los Lobos,

Henne could together 3 good games and we still start off 0-3. Henne's great between the 20yard lines, but is still a work in progress in the redzone.

We'll score but we'll also leave many points on the table. That's what will beat us in the end. We cant expect very little help in terms of big plays from our defense. That pattern re-emerged in the Pats game.

Reshad Jones had chance for 2 pick sixes. One he batted down at the goal line. The other he was late resulting in a missed tackle by Sapp and 99yd td reception by Welker.

If Henne showed this much improvement in Daboll's offense this quick.

I'm not throwing in the towel *YET* on him quickly showing improvement in the Red Zone!

Dolphins WIN TODAY-PERIOD!

odin,

Except for the first drive by our offense Monday night. I see no killer instinct on either side of the ball by the Fins. Until this changes, nothing changes.

Getting more chunk plays alone isnt enough to consistently win games. Hope it does change today but I wouldnt put money on it.

I'm not going to defend Reshad, but he wasn't late. He was in Man coverage on a TE and was coming off his own coverage.

If anything, blame Nolan's call and of course Sapp.

The other whiff was horrible.

Bam-bam! Just like that, the Pack now lead Cam-Carolina 17-13 after trailing 13-7 at the half.

Welcome back to reality Mr. Cam-Carolina! LOL...

More absurd was Sapp getting stiffed arm by tiny Welker.

DB,

You might as well call them CAMrolina, because right now, that's about it-LOL!

Odin,

If Sapp had 0ne on one coverage against Wes Welker. I see it as a huge mismatch in itself. IMO, you need 3 starting calibre db's playing against the Pats. You need a starting calibre db on Welker alone. That guy's a pro bowl calibre wr.

McFadden just fumbles to the Bills!

Why can't we ever catch a simple break like that?

Breaks usually go both ways. Not dependable at all.

Cutler fumbles to the Saints! It's just about time to stick a fork in em.

Steve Smith fumbles baxck to the Pack.

Please lets us catch a couple of breaks TODAY!

Sanchez always looks like a bust QB and then makes clutch throws when you least expect it. Kind of the opposite of Henne.

odin,

We dont catch breaks like because our fatass d-lineman wont recover anything that doesnt resemble a Krisy Kreme glazed donut when it hits the ground! LOL...

!!, La Brigada.
