Miami Dolphins lose to the Browns, 17-16, and still winless

CLEVELAND -- The Miami Dolphins are winless after three games. Jobs are now officially at stake.

I'm not talking at the end of the year. I'm talking this week, tomorrow perhaps, and on the bye week almost certainly if the losing continues.

Terrible.

The Dolphins, field goal kicking experts, must understand that they are always at risk when they don't maximize drives with touchdowns. That's because other teams do maximize drives with touchdowns. And that helps them win.

This is bad folks. Really bad.

Going into the locker room now. Will report back afterward.

STEPHEN ROSS...SELL THE TEAM, PLEASE!

Posted by: DolphinMisery | September 25, 2011 at 05:02 PM

No.

COWHER OR BUST!

WE ALREADY HAVE BUST......

SO LET'S GET COWHER!

Chad Henne is a great QB. He just needs a few more seasons under his belt to understand how to consistently guide his offense into FG range.

Every other post some hack is making for me...wtf?

Wow! This is by far, the worst dolphin team ever. Joe Robbie must be turning in his grave. I am ashamed to call myself a fan of this team if major changes (Ireland and Spo) are not made this week.

We need to be like the fans of the teams we can't stand(JETS) and flood the dolphins office with calls demanding change. Here is the number

(305)943-8000.
Call away!

stillhardcoredolphinsfan, I seriously can't tell if that was a real or made up TS quote. Sad.

boycott rest of games at home if they don't fire Tony Sparano this week

"Suck for Luck." We still have a chance.

Bill Cowher... Bill Cowher... I mean look at Chan Gailey he just out coach the Patriots we need a coach that has been a winner in this league ... Just do not hire any of the staff that is getting fired from Kansas City and dont hire a college coach we all remember how that worked out last time

dolpin 77, if you ave the ability to, watch the play again, i did 3 times, Marshall was NEVER looking for the ball just running a route.

Henne threw the ball right on the trajectory of gates also, the idiot was running out of bounds.

Henne is not getting time in the pocket to hold the ball.

Like I said, i am mad as Henne as any other Dolphin at this point, but he is not the issue, we should not have been in that situation. Marshall dropped another in his hands in the end zone. Carpenter missed a tough kick but one he useually makes.

These guys are not earning their pay checks.

Henne played well considering the protection, he IS NOT the target is my point, there are bigger fish to fry, and it starts with Marshall in my opinion.

This just in, Ross adds Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, Alec Baldwin, Bozo the clown and Pee Wee Herman as minority owners.

Not saying Henne did horrible today BUT you must realize that a QB like Ryan, Brady, Rivers, etc...would have thrown more TD's during the game, and 9 times out of 10 they wouldn't have stalled the last drive with a INT. Henne is a number 2, he's a good solid backup QB and thats all he will ever be...
As for our FO amd coaching...fire em all NOW!!!

I FEEL IT. TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE A GOOD DAY. THE OWNER IS BEING TOLD AS WE SPEAK, YOU STILL CAN SAVE THE SEASON. DO IT NOW. NOW!!!

The defensive line gave Rivers all day to throw. Why is Sparano keeping Carroll on Jackson after 2 TDs. Again letting a TE (Gates) get 100 yds in a game.

I just want to get my post in before everyone else after San Diego.

Ross is you're PROBLEM!!!!!!!!

This blog is full of bs posts... Whoever the editor is...is making posts for other bloggers

Henne. Ultimately, same guy - different offense.

When pressure is on his brain flips robot switch.

Henne has 20/20 vision. He only sees his recievers between the 20yard line !

THEY SHOULD FIRE SPARANO BEFORE HE LEFT THE FIELD.

OR

STOP HIM IN THE HALL WAY AND TELL HIM ONLY THE TEAM WAS ALLOWED IN.

This is so embarrassing, they are so clueless and misguided. Phin fans lets keep sparano and hope we lose everygame this way we can finally drafta qb and this nightmare will be over.

Rcs I hear u!!! Feel the same way. Get Fisher or Cower signed ASAP. Ross it isn't that hard 'Just Do It' . I'm close to 47 yrs now and I dont know if I will see a Dolphins SB victory in this life. We need to stop messing around and make the tough decisions now!!!!!

Forgot about Jeff Fisher....That would be a good start right there....

Not Cowher Chin Face, not Gruden....
ROB RYAN for HC !!!!!

FINS TO THE LEFT, FINS TO THE RIGHT, ITS THE ONLY GAME IN TONW!!!!

FINS UP DOLFANS!!!!!

THANK YOU STEVE ROSS, YOU RUINED OUR FIGHT SONG, YOU RUINED OUR TEAM!

HOW COULD YOU TAKE SUCH A GOOD THING AND TURN IT INTO A TURD....I HEAR A FLUSH NOW!

STEPHEN ROSS...SELL THE TEAM, PLEASE!

It takes more than just four seasons to master an offense as complex as the Mildcat. Give Tony and his boys some time here, every great coach in history has needed at least four years to turn things around. Chad could very well be the next Steve DeBerg if only we'd give him a chance.

...Take a look at Cleveland. That is bad team. But when they had the opportunity. They were able to raise their game enough to go get that winning score. McCoy was not world beaters today. But he made plays when his team needed him to. Blame it on drops, blame it on poor play calls, blame it on Henne, blame it on the defense, blame it on field goals. There is a theme here don't you think. Why can other teams make plays when it is crunch time, and we continue to fail? This falls on our soon to be unemployed head coach. He doesn't deserve another week to figure out a solution to a equation he has proven he cannot seem to solve.

This town needs an enema !

I get it slideshow.

The problem is, who is open? Columbo couldnt block a foul pole from rushing a QB, and they dont move.

Why is there not a qb like bush in the flat moving the linebackers out of the middle passing lanes?

This is nuts.

Henne has done better than most with what he has to work with i think.

this is not the team we read about in the paper. its time to make a move NOW JUST BEING IN SOMEBODY WHO CAN COACH

Wow people stop blaming Henne, he ran the plays given to him and from what I seen he did a good job. The blame needs to be place on his support crew. I see no need for Henne to go; I do see a need for a better Oline and better TEs. They need to use gates more and stop running Bush up the middle. Yes I also agree its departure time our money saving GM, and Sparano as the HC. The question is will that happen this stage of the season. The experts picked the Fins to win four games. I laughed at that now I feel they seen the light and I am still in the dark.

The GM job during the off season is to get the players that will help your team, if you have to spend the money, we got Bush and that’s was it. All the names that were on the market, and we went discount shopping and now its showing.
To the people who say stop crying and be a real fan, I say only a fool wants to pat their losing team on the back. I will complain because I want a good product. I want a winner or a refund, bet if tickets were able to be refunded for a losing season this team would be winning.

I told my wife last week do not allow me to sit and watch another game. I said I would go shopping with her. I lied watched the game and now saying dam, I could at least went with my wife at the mall, and seen a few good looking skirts and great legs.

Garo...that is funny!

Brady couldnt move the dolphins offense with this OL and group of receivers

*rb

Sideshow Bill

I want to see Henne do well. He looks better this season, but he is still wilting when the pressure is on. Yes, the team made a bunch of mistakes, but the team was still in a position to win in the final minute. We needed 10 yards. Too often Henne disappears when we needed him most, when the pressure was on. Clutch time is not where Henne lives, and that is still the most concerning problem.

No argument with you there. The question is why: ability? coaching? scheme? supporting players?

I think it's a little bit of each. I think he has raw skills but wonder if he is behind in development due to being chained to Dan Henning last year. He looks SO GOOD sometimes. Inconsistency is typical in young QBs. So either he is a year behind or he just doesn't have it. I feel like he's behind. That's my opinion so far.

It also seems like they are suffering from the desperation of the coaches. They are throw stuff against the wall week in and week out, and it's ending up looking sloppy and unprofessional. I think this is a wild card team with better coaching and play-calling.

The Reggie Bush thing is really on my nerves after today. Wasted plays. It's like what the Wild Cat was doing to us last year.

A QB is only as good as what he does in the 2 minute drill and the red zone. McCoy looked like garbage all day but will be the hero today. Sanchez always looks like crap but somehow manages to step up when he has to.

uh oh, I see pitchforks and torches.....

Hire Bill Cowher.

1. Blake.

Same old Same old from the team- switching gears in mid-season will not change future, but will give fans some ray of hope. Hope and Change might actually work here!

Talent seems to be the issue more than anything else. When was the last time the Dolphins actually chose in the top 10 of the First round at draft time? Its been like leftovers at moms dinner table and then picking up free agents that no one else wants. Coaching seems to be Jurasic compared to most of the winning teams out there. Buffalo, won agains the great Bradey today and intercepted him multiple times as well. New blood would not be a bad thing.

I wish on the drive that resulted in what else a FG that gave them the 6 point lead the Dolphins would have at least tried to go down the field on the 2nd and 7 instead of another run that is playing to lose. This reminds me of 2007 all over again what has happend to this franshcise?

Does Sparano realize how stupid he looks when he goes berserk after another drive dies and he settles for a FG? What a tool.

We officially bite. Can't beat a mediocre team w/o their best player & made McCoy look like Marino on that game winning drive. No big defensive stops on that drive. No real pressure on McCoy the whole game meanwhile Sparano who is an ex offensive line can't get the O Line right in pass blocking having Henne sacked 5 times. Sparano + Ireland need to be on the grill after this abysal debacle. A colossal organizational failure losing this game.

Andrew Luck sweepstakes here we come!!

?????????????????

We will now get a franchise QB at the end of this season. Praying for loses rest of season

I saw this coming since the end of last season and it's mostly the owner's fault. As you recall Ross traveled to California in an effort to hire Harbaugh. In essence he told the Dolphin players they have a lame duck coach. He took all credibility (the little they had left) away from this coaching staff.

F that, our O line does suck...but whomever said Brady or another good QB couldn't throw behind our line is BS...there us still time to find the WR's...Henne wasn't rushed anymore than most this week

Who's Donald Thomas? Wasn't he a guard that used to play here?

"Brady couldnt move the dolphins offense with this OL and group of receivers"

Brady couldn't move this offense with a forklift and a flatbed trailer. Well, he could, but only to about the 25 yard line or so.

Oh yeah forgot about Rob Ryan... forget cowher get rob ryan...

Henne just doesn't seem to be able to do IT when IT really counts.

GEEEEEZZZ WHEEEEEZZZ... Ok now I am officially sold on the fact that our head coach can't handle the team. Maybe a nice guy and looks real good after loosing all that weight but the son of a b _ _ _ h just has no idea how to win. Also ...aaah screw it...!

Peopele here make it seem there are people running open all over the field and Henne has 10 secs to hold the ball.. it is not happening.

No one, and i mean no one, all the above mentionen qb's who could throw a td in that situation??? BS, they all would be unsuccessful.

That is my point, Henne is gone next year he is a free agent, thank god, because he does not deserve the crap he gets from our fans.

I hope the next qb comes in and we build around him players with heart, and a head coach with a clue.

I am sick of the Henne battle on this blog, it is useless. I just hope the next qb we bring is has a compitent coaching staff and players who have heart around them.

Clean house and start kissing Gruden's backside in hopes he can get this team back to being a contender. Absolutely unacceptable!

Wins and losses don't matter. What I love most about football is watching the ball spin majestically, end-over-end as it splits the uprights. If you're like me, a FG aficionado, Tony's Mildcat offense is a real pleasure to watch. Remember, seven FG's = three TD's.

We should have hired Cowher last year but the friggin owner went after the "ticket seller" I understand the business appeal but lets get Cowher in here let him clean house and GET RID OF THAT IDIOT IRELAND!!!

FINS TO THE LEFT, FINS TO THE RIGHT, ITS THE ONLY GAME IN TONW!!!!

FINS UP DOLFANS!!!!!

THANK YOU STEVE ROSS, YOU RUINED OUR FIGHT SONG, YOU RUINED OUR TEAM!

HOW COULD YOU TAKE SUCH A GOOD THING AND TURN IT INTO A TURD....I HEAR A FLUSH NOW!

man, this team sucks!! No fun to watch. Really funny though the fist pumps after a field goal. What dunnage!

The question now is, when does Sporano get fired? At the bye week, mid season or at the end of the season. If Ireland is not fired with him we will have he same product on the field until he's released also. But i have an even greater concern and that is Ross, this guy is not a Football owner, like a Kraft or Rooney.

I get it slideshow.

The problem is, who is open? Columbo couldnt block a foul pole from rushing a QB, and they dont move.

I will concede that. As few points as we have scored there'd be far fewer without Henne. He is trying to make something from nothing, and he isn't good enough yet. He NEEDS to be able to do that to win a title, though. We aren't far apart. Yes, he is making what he can with what he has but he seems to only get so far and that is partly on him. But I think he will get it. I really do.

They are miss-using Reggie Bush so badly it's laughable. He should used how you suggest, creating miss-matches. Does this team ever use motion??? And it's clear Thomas is a workhorse. HE is The Beast. Feed him and let Henne take advantage of open passing lanes.
